    Están mal instaladas las granadas, la torsión hace que se desplacen fuera de la muelle

    Does it matter which way the bushing faces when going back in, I noticed you’re pushing it through the opposite way

    Are you mostly a suspension shop? And could you give us a tour of the shop you work in? I’m a diesel mechanic for a construction company. We do a little of everything, I do a lot of suspension, chassis, electrical and hydraulic stuff. (Mixer trucks) chalmers, camelbacks and we just started gettin some haulmaxx

      Im a diesel mechanic for a construction company too. We do mostly equipment but sometimes we'll get the haulers and oiler trucks. Its nice not dealing with costumers

    Freightliner won’t let me do bushings like this, I showed them your other videos and we tried one truck the way you do it, but the regional Daimler truck rep said to push them in from the other side. I have an email in to the engineers but no one got back to me yet. Do you mark bushing orientation before you push the old ones out and do an alignment afterwards?

    • @johnz8210
      @johnz8210 3 года назад

      What was the reason the rep gave for installing them the other way? Does it matter which side the flange is on? The flange seems like more of an installation aid.

    • @andyfederman
      @andyfederman 3 года назад

      @@johnz8210 all they said was that’s how they’re installed from the factory and they have a tendency to walk outwards, so the flange stops that. I stopped arguing with them. I just hold the tool a little sideway when I push them in from the inside and I don’t have to take the driveshaft out.

    • @johnz8210
      @johnz8210 3 года назад

      @@andyfederman OK thanks. I guess if we see the truck on this video come back for bushings out of place we'll know.

    • @andyfederman
      @andyfederman 3 года назад

      @@johnz8210 I have pushed a lot of these bushings in “backwards”
      according to Freightliner and the trucks are repeat customer’s, none of them have walked out on me yet. I would keep doing them the easy way if Freightliner would let me.

    • @johnz8210
      @johnz8210 3 года назад

      @@andyfederman Thanks. I agree with you. I think if everything is aligned and parallel, the flange doesn't do much of anything after the bushing is installed. Bushings moving out of place seems like a sign of another problem to me, but that's just opinion.
