You use a ratchet strap and pull that pipe over onto the frame. Easy peasy every time. But everyone has their own way- yours works great! Thank you for making this!
Getting it past the pipe is the #1 thing most videos skirt past... the most difficult part. And, the locking band on the pipe can be a pain to get off as well. My 2009 is rust on wheels.
Scott L D1 minute agoI was able to move the start forward then nose down and with some slight rotation get to drop in front of the cross member. getting the new one in was a little harder do to having to lift it with one hand then pass it to the other. This was after disconnecting the exhaust LOL. PS auto transmission lines block the back way on my 04
@@raymondkelly4065 this one is just a little different it's got a 6.6 L with the police interceptor in it has a weird spot in the frame the the ones in the video don't seem to have

Antiseize on the bolts and dielectric grease on the electrical make it easier later and corrosion free connections

I was able to loosen the top bolt easily with a wrench.
Does that truck have torsion bars? Mine does and it's directly under that exhaust pipe. Help!

You cut the frame and drop the fuel tank , then you see if it will start then pull the radiator and put air In the tires go get lunch
