I take the Cloud Monster on light trails. It does fine. The shoe is inherently stable and the individual cloud elements react well to uneven ground in trails. Rocks getting stuck in the center channel can happen occasionally but it’s no big deal compared to what you gain in the overall performance of the shoe.

When you compare Bondi whit New B.freshmore or new Mizuno how will be on scale...

Hey guys. I tried the Bondi 8 on and found them too narrow at the medial midfoot, it digged into my arch. But otherwise fine. Any idea if a 2E or 4E would be better? I’ve heard that Hoka wides just increase upper volume, but aren’t actually wider.

I bought the 4E and they are narrower than my Nike Invincible 2 (D). They are just as tight on the top of the foot. Very difficult to tie the laces. Very disappointed.

Never used a Craft before, this one the craft CTM ultra 2 is a stable one? not narrow mid or forefoot? can you compare with More V4, floatride energy,, NB SC trainer? confortable midsole for long runs? thanks

The arch rubs on the inside of the heel which takes away the cushion

For self proclaimed podiatrists you guys sure seem oblivious to the benefits of a stiff midsole for MTP joint related foot issues.

They aren't podiatrists, they're physical therapists. But I agree with you, they should know about stiff midsoles.

@@donh8223 Oh thanks for the clarification. as you said, they should still be aware of the benefits of stiffer midsoles for some foot conditions. In fact, stiffness is now considered an important element in carbon plated racing shoes. A shoe needs a rocker profile and stiffness for an efficient turnover. These guys keep waxing poetically about flexibility like we're still in the Vibrant Five Fingers days. The bare foot minimalist days are long dead. Even Altra and Topo have caved to the max stack carbon plate trend. The only positives that came out of the minimalist movement was lower heel drops.

They did admit that the Bondi 8 wasn't that flexible, and it has a firmer platform. However, if you have MTP joint issues, don't wear them. Not every shoe is for everyone. Thankfully, a variety of manufacturers produce many different models and hopefully you find the ideal shoe for you. Happy hunting
