- My wife's Chevrolet Tahoe's center console armrest leather/pleather has been cracked for years. I attempt to replace it with less than stellar results. I think a second attempt with a better stapler would fair better. At least this video will show how to take apart the console.

Again, I plan to revisit this after we move to get it cleaner and possibly a better fabric. Hopefully the video helps you at least see the basics of how it would be done.

Contact Cement could be a good option for installation as well with a plastic scraper or flat edge to push the leather down tight into the underside areas.
That's a good idea. I had 3M spray adhesive that I used to repair a civic door card fabric since this. Contact cement might soak the fabric, at least I'd be afraid of that.
@@WildMountainGarage That's true on the fabric. I would only try it with the leather type material. I have to rewrap my center console as well and the inside driver side door handle just snapped loose behind the door panel covering. I''m going to try using epoxy to repair the plastic parts and then reinforce the glue joint with t-shirt cloth material soaked in epoxy. Basically a DIY fiberglass. It's all hidden inside the door panel so it won't be seen. I hope it works.

Actually ended up being passable enough until we sold it last year. Definitely could have been better but I basically forgot it was done.
