    Coaching James Toney had to be a tough gig. The man was so stubborn he would let himself get hit on the ropes. While he found an opening every time, he could did the same thing from middle of the ring without taking any real damage. Still, my top 5 ever

    Toney is always a pleasure to watch. He's so relaxed that he looks like he's doing light sparring even during title fights. Beautiful defense and counterpunching at every distance, but one of the best on the inside I've ever seen. This is the way I like to see the philly shell applied.

    A walk in the park for James Toney. He probably never had an easier pay day. I am not sure what Delgado was thinking to walk out there and leave himself wide open for a left hook moments after the first round began. It seemed like Toney could have wrapped this up inside one round, but wanted to put on an exhibition for the paying audience.

    • @jkjkhoyolula
      @jkjkhoyolula 3 месяца назад

      @@rayromano6249 You saw how much of a dirty fighter Delgado was. He headbutted, elbowed, kicked, this time in Boxing a lot of illegal things were going on and he's lucky he boxed with someone as chill as Tony in the ring, he would have definitely had some people in the corner & audience rush him or worse for those illegal moves with how much people had money on the line behind boxers back then, this still kinda happens like Shakur Stevenson & J Prince, but not to the level the 80s & 90s involved blood money.
