This is by far StarKid's most 'spoiled' show, in the sense that they never revealed so much (costumes, songs, scenes) before the show. And EVEN SO, the show itself is FULL of surprises! This show was amazing to watch on the digital ticket and I'll still watch several more times. StarKid's most anticipated show really delivers. Congrats to all the team.

@@itsjustjelly2152 I'm naively hoping they'll only kill the annoying ones. I really need Lex, Hannah, Ethan, Paul, Emma, Becky, Tom, Bill, Alice, Pete, Steph, and the witch lady to survive. Although now that I see how long this list is I think I'm probably going to be crying at the end of the show again. Curse Nightmare Time for making me emotionally invested in everyone.
"Please don't kill everyone again." Is a hilarious thing to say both with and without context (especially knowing full well that they almost certainly will kill everyone)
I genuinely hope a certain few characters gets to live. Though then again it's not a Hatchetfeild musical unless 50% of the characters die

Do you need to have seen Nightmare Time to understand this show? I plan on watching that eventually but probably not before this comes out
@@BuzzardPlanet97 there are some references to Nightmare Time, but only Easter eggs really - nothing that wouldn't make sense if you've not seen it as far as I can remember. I watched with a friend who's a fan of TGWDLM and Black Friday but hasn't seen any of Nightmare Time and they were fine.
oh god.. Ive missed it and might have to wait over half a year to see it now. Why would they do it like that? Something about the legal side of musicals must be completely screwed up. I dont even understand why they would post them for free on youtube but then on other things they are seemingly restrictive for no logical reason.
Also I still cant listen to black friday on youtube music but all the albums are there..

@@wriggleby is there usually a period where a film is neither in cinema nor purchasable? Usually when a movie is out of cinemas it seems to get out on either streaming or DVD immediately afaik.

@@emilymarie5263 It is guaranteed to come to RUclips at some point, but not clear yet when. The FAQ on the official website says it might be late this year or even early 2024. But who knows when they will be ready.

I saw it in person on Saturday and it was soooo good! Highly recommend Nightmare Time seasons 1 and 2 though, to get the most out of it. You don't need to, but it makes it even more enjoyable.

The amount of effort that went into the lighting, set, and effects looks INCREDIBLE. By far the most visually appealing starkid show by far from what this shows us.
Just finished watching this and it's great, as usual! To the people debating the virtual ticket... if you're interested in the lore between the musicals, DEFINITELY watch this as soon as you can! ESPECIALLY if you watched nightmare time!
Every time I open up the StarKid RUclips channel, no matter what random video of theirs I'm going to watch, I always take a second to rewatch this trailer. It's so freaking good! Loved the digital ticket and can't wait to see the fully edited version later this year!
No spoilers but there are several songs stuck in my head and the guy who plays Max is a freaking legend???
I've always loved how Starkid incorporates new people. I never feel like I need an adjustment period with anyone, they just fit in so naturally with the Starkids we've already known and loved for years. That's incredibly impressive.

@@elig8127 he definitely did. His physical acting reminds me of Jim Carrey and his psychological acting (is that a thing? Idk what to call it) reminds me of Willem Defoe. Can't look away when he's on stage.

Oh my dear lord, that was incredible!! It was so good that I watched it twice in eight hours, lol. Wow I'm still kinda speechless? I don't think it can be properly compared to other shows until the RUclips release, but wow....that was easily the best digital ticket experience I've ever had.
Just finished, it's so good! Admittedly the beginning wasn't really grabbing me but it got progressively better and I was definitely in tears towards the end.

This looks very Scream-inspired and I'm here for it.
I was debating to get the digital ticket, but I got it and it's so worth it. I've watched it three times already and there are so many things I didn't catch on my first viewing. Also the audio and video quality is great! The reverb you hear in the short spoken part isn't there most of the show, when you hear it it serves a purpose. So absolutely get it if you can!
Have to wait til it comes out on RUclips 😢 but I'm sure it'll be great another Hatchetfield mysteries how can it not be

Unfortunately, I don't have any friends who like Starkid, I don't know anyone personally who likes musicals at all... No subtitles, and the dialogue is impossible to hear at parts as is

Yeah they’ll most likely release it here, but we’ll have to wait a few months because they haven’t done the recording night yet, and it’ll take a bit to edit all of it
Don't know about the soundtrack, but I would only expect this show to come on YT next to Halloween. Pretty sure they usually do it like that.
