These actions use the "Reverse Guage", Flash step for example cost half of the "Reverse Guage" and if you time it perfectly you'll get that cutscene we saw with Yoruichi. -Every character can use all 3 different forms of Reverse, which reverse you activate will depend on when you use it (It's not 1 type per character). The cast of playable characters thus far is varied and offers different strengths and weaknesses. For some opponents and certain playstyles, it'll at times be more efficient to go for the quicker damage rather than risk trying to get the soul break. This'll likely be the case for characters that have strong defensive or Zoning tactics.
@MoonlightMaskG oh nice, I didn't hear it in the clips. My only complaints is that large UI doesn't look too nice and takes away from the screen, and I don't like that they don't make these games violent enough, when ichigo swings his sword you see colours coming out
