I just returned from a 30 day stay in China. In the mornings, as early as 5am, I would do a 5k-10k at each city I visited. What I've noticed is that, I wasn't only the one, there were hundreds and sometimes thousands of people walking, jogging or dancing. The cites were Hong kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Langzhong, Chengdu. Compared to my morning runs in Canada where I might see 1 person exercising in the morning.
Chinese people really live life fully. The CCP really cares by provided well maintained parks and nature. There is something about China the West can learn from her, humility, gracious, integrity and peace. Hope the toxic Western culture do not defile the ancient wisdom and traditional of China.
Fantastic stuff. I have the entire national geographic magazine collection going back to 1900 and can see the old China and how it transformed mostly from early 80's to today and they have worked miracles. Congratulations they deserve kudos to be sure for putting their people first.

BBC: Yeah, but at what costs? They can't point out their PM if he was corrupt like Starmer is being pointed for sleaze and hypocrisy. 😂 Not that China's PM is corrupt like most US and UK politicians.
US legalized corruption started with the Zion bankers' successful privatization of the FED. As a result, banking, gun and drug have become their core industries.
My family is Chinese, lived in Singapore and Malaysia. When I was very young, our mother used to wake us up very early in the morning, telling us that "half the day's gone!" This would be around 5.30am and she'd toss us out of bed to start getting ready for the day (school starts at 7.30am). I am an on-going ageing 70+ year old man today in Sydney, Australia and I still get up at 4.00 am - which I have been doing my entire working life to these retirement years. I get to breathe in the fresh morning air before it gets polluted by ICE vehicles. It's wonderful that time of the day, watching the sun rise over the distant horizon and the birds coming out with their morning songs. It invigorates one's inner soul and really prepares us for the day in a better light.
As I have said before, I saw the happiest most contended senior citizens in China compared to other countries I have visited and that goes a long way to show how the system works.
Love Nanhu Park ... been there a couple of times. At night, they light up the LEDs and the buildings and bridges that go across the Lake are adorned with various colors. The place comes alive ... bands play live music, people are exercising and mulling about everywhere, and beer is available in abundance. Can't wait to go back.
I've noticed Asian women meeting and doing the morning exercises in various parks in the Lower Mainland of BC Canada. My gym has many older Asian women who are there every morning and keep slim in great shape.

It's a tranquil vibe, even with so many people. People are at peace. Over here in the US, you can feel the anxiety and stress in how people interact with each other.
There's a real sense of community in China. Everyone uses the parks and community areas to exercise, dance, sing and play checkers. It's a great way to retire 😊😊
Because of Chinese law. When the population reaches a certain size, it must have a square of corresponding area. Moreover, the law stipulates that real estate developers must have the same proportion of green area when building residential buildings.

My late Mrs was confined to a wheelchair for 24 years, a rare neurological disease called Friedrich's Ataxia, never stopped her having 4 children and always liked to get out in the fresh air, it got me out too and kept the weight off as I was wheeling the chair. 7 years gone now and I have noticed the weight piling on..... but, new beginnings and all that, I'm a year with my fiance and she even found it odd that when I was in Cebu I loved to walk even though the temperature was vastly higher than Ireland, as you pointed out, it's all in the mindset of the person. Good video and that was some rapid clean up job 😮
People try in different ways to get connected, be it in the parks or in donut shops. It’s too bad parks in the west aren’t safe for individual park users. It’s a governance problem., prevalent situation in the west.
In UK, if stranger like you showed interest in a group of children like you did, you'd be viewed with deep suspicion and possibly reported to the police. There's fear and deep loathing in the UK for friendliness shown by men towards children.
