    The defense has pretty much said law enforcement, MUSC, SLED, coroner and all others who were witnesses for the prosecution are INCOMPETENT. All of the defense witnesses, according to defense lawyers , have more education, experience, better work facilities with state of the art equipment to conduct test and various analyses that SC can only dream about. So where are the clothes he had on? A shower was taken according to his own brother. Paw Paw left the most compelling evidence….. AM was at the kennel, the dogs were not barking or agitated because they knew the three persons there :Alec, Paw Paw, and Mags two are dead and the killer remains.

    The richer and more prominent you are, the longer your "trial" goes on. Have you noticed that? I think Alex should be found guilty. But I will not be surprised when they find him not guilty.... like they did with OJ. The richer and more famous you are, the less likely that you will ever be held to account for your actions.

      Well, Paul didn’t murder Mallory. DUI with fatality is not charged as a murder. That happens a lot with drinking young people. Most of them understand but they never think it will happen to them. He still had a life to lead. One would hope to inform the community about drinking and boating being the same as driving a vehicle. I’m not convinced Maggie went berserk and pushed the housekeeper. Sure it’s highly suspicious but what reason would she have to do that. As far as the hit and run paint flecks we’re found on the young man. Consistent with hit and run. They’ve reopened it yes. Will they have anything other than town gossip…doubt. I am not saying Buster wasn’t involved but ya have yo have something. At some point all the money grab lawsuits make me NOT believe the cases.

  • @schlooonginator1227
    @schlooonginator1227 Год назад +6

    What is confusing me in this case is why Alex needed to steal hundreds of thousands/millions of dollars.
    I hear his drug habit as the reason but I don't buy that he could spend that much on pills, nowhere close. He has a good enough income to afford a robust pill habit unless opiates cost way more than where I am.
    He comes from generations of upper class wealth and power. I doubt he even had a big mortgage to worry about.
    Where was all this money going?

    • @Anriuko
      @Anriuko Год назад

      The thing that is difficult for us normal people to understand is that people who get drunk on power don't need any other reason to pursue power than power itself. Aside from power being a means to an end that is more power, they're not thinking functionally. The money was probably "invested" in corruption, besides quality of life of a hedonistic lifestyle. The whole pill-snagging thing is a red herring. He seems like an intelligent guy, but the Achilles' Heel of the pathological narcissist is that in their egocentricity and arrogance they constantly underestimate people, as if they didn't even deserve a realistic assessment from their supreme intellect. I can't believe he thought the pill addiction story would fly as an excuse for embezzling, as if people were incapable of doing basic math. That's how arrogant he is. It's also hilarious observing these crooks (Alex and John) put in their best effort in trying to display human emotions while feeling around in the dark trying to guess what an adequate emotional response is expected to look like in this situation. I'm not saying they're not skilled, but Alex has been under the spotlight for such an extended period of time that all the cracks in his facade are apparent. I assure you they have no idea how inauthentic their gig is, and were you to confront them about it with comprehensive explanation as to why, they would be enraged that you dare cast doubt on their sophisticated artificial expression of emotion from your inferior position with your socially conforming expression of your insignificant and unremarkable human emotion. "Such impudence, who do these people think they are, that our elaborate and complex lies are not as good as truth to them?" That's the gist of it.

      It would have been physically impossible for someone to arrive on the scene, knowing Paul and Maggie would be in that precise spot, without weapons, and commit the crime after Alex was at the kennels. He already said the dogs didn't bark. And he lied to the very first cop on the scene. Guilty. That said, I think the prosecution needs to put forth something about a motive in the closing arguments (although not required to) because many people would have a problem convicting someone of murdering their family with only circumstantial evidence and no clear motive. I'm calling "hung jury" unless the closing argument is solid.

    1700 acres and the shooter knew the in's and out's of that property and how to get to both Paul and Maggie via atv, golf cart, or just happened to be camping out without being seen or heard by dogs? Not to mention the fact of a botch search of the house when they had a warrant due to Alex was calling everyone to come over and stay.🤔 That placed should have been sealed off completely as well as the house, so nobody would interfere until the investigation was over. How the hell does this happen?

      The dogs 100% would have alerted at any stranger walking up. Those are hunting dogs-they aren’t quiet city pets. It’s actual proof that Alec did it in my opinion. The timing is too short. 5 minutes. He shot them literally right after that video! He probably freaked out when Paul’s phone rang when Rogan called and kept calling. Thank goodness that Cash had that little issue with his tail/back end and Paul was videoing and trying to get thru to Rogan. Paul needs a ghost so he can point at his father but this video and tech timed records are doing it.

    My theory......he was involved with the murder....maybe had another person there to help him. He clearly was at the kennels within minutes of the murders....maybe he shot maggie and someone else shot his son.....They did him so bad.....he said (or something like that). Shoddy work by SLED. Though the original lead of the investigation was his buddy...so there is so much complicity......

      The only clue I see to an additional killer was AM saying “here” on the 911call…like he was handing something to someone-BUT he is still guilty in that case…and it would be someone the dogs already knew well since they weren’t agitated… Maybe the Kennel washing guy(?) But it could be anyone that hunted with them. However he may have mumbled “here” to himself or to one of the dogs.

      “might, probably, could have, I think, I believe, I remember, I assume, maybe, should have, It’s possible”, etcetc.
      There should be a language monitoring system that beeps every time a qualifier is used. People don’t like to lie and the qualifier allows them to say the lie in a way that’s not “quite” a lie.
      Like OJ’s. “if I killed them.” That tiny “if” lets him off from a true confession!

      No. That dumb mantra doesn’t cut real life mustard. Want me to explain? Well I’ll say this…if your family member was a victim of a heinous crime will you be the first to say….let him go because 10 guilty going free is better? You think on that. It’s a garbage statement used by pro criminal folks. UNLESS it happens to them, THEN it’s a different attitude all of a sudden.
