I had a boyfriend who passed away years ago but every birthday he blasted this on his gigantic speakers for me. I wish I would have appreciated it then. I partied way too much though and was too young to realize my best days would be clean and sober.

Every year I've always started my son's birthday by blasting this song first thing in the morning to start his day of celebrating his life. Even if he's at a different location, I send it to him. It's just one way of letting him know how very special he is.

Mum's 85 today and just had a 7 months recovery from a broken hip and is battling COPD. We are so proud of her strength and courage 💜
Lost my mom at age 88 last year and her mind was sharp as a tack til her last breath. My 4 brothers and I got to be there as she left to go dance with our dad again. Today is my birthday and by best friends too. We each are middle girls smack in the middle of 4 brothers. Two even have the same name. She was my rock as I had a lung lobectomy and a malignant rumor came out with it. Then many months of chemo. I have my annual PET scan on my birthday...6-28. I've been 3 yrs cancer free. My friend's husband had won the same battle as I and she was my rock. As were my 3 grown girls and her two girls. Sadly John got sepsis and passed last April. She is deep in my heart today. Today my mom has been much on my mind bc I could always call her and be bonkers as and she simply listened and never said ...oh u handled that wrong. I had a long career in healthcare and just retired. I had hoped to spend more time with mom when I retired but she's dancing with my dad again. I simply know you're a great daughter. So tho I know u cherish memories made...take her some ice cream today and say Miss Mary sent it. His grace is amazing may it continue to shine in you and your mom. And...send up a prayer for my Debra today too. TG I still have her. And she has me. Much peace to you Helen.

It was somewhere in my 30s when I lost the music for a while…overcome with work, travel, small child, marriage and then divorce. After a while, music became important again and saved my life -or made it so much better. Heartfelt thank you for the Beatles’ many, many songs of the ups and downs of living. This particular song has so much joy; dare you to not want to dance!

Usually I do Elvis songs. I should be an Elvis AND The Beatles tribute artist, but my voice isn't that high. It's low like Elvis'. But my voice is loud. Nothing could beat this senior citizen's birthday extravaganzas that my kids from coast to coast throw for me every five years. They all make it each time, probably because they think it will be my finale. But I fool them and hang around. Hope they'll keep coming back.

Me too! My dad heard us giggling and put up a fuss......."Ann, come look what the kids are watching!" My mom, "Oh, Joe, leave them alone, let them have fun!" And we did! it was awesome buying magazines which had perforated edge so you could rip out the headshots of each of The Beatles to hang on bedroom wall! So much fun in those days!

It's my first grandchild Kyle's 25th birthday today. I couldn't be there with him, so sending him the link to this classic is the next best thing! Next week I'll be 69 and even though I have a couple of health issues, I'm still going to blast this on my birthday 🎂. When I turn 70, I'll be blasting it again!!! This song would lift anybody's spirit. I went to see Paul McCartney and his band blasting this over 6 years ago in Melbourne. Wow, does Paul McCartney ever age? His spirit never will, and all of us vintage Beatles fans will keep playing this for every year we are alive!
