Nice to see Bachmann has finally gone to NMRA colors for their wires. It didn't use to be that way. Nice install. I have a couple of locomotives I'm going to use those Soundtraxx boards on.
We get to select the correct sound file in the programming. One CV change takes care of that, and you can get as fancy as you want. I have a separate video that describes the programming, and the results are excellent. ruclips.net/video/lgd62WB6AOg/видео.html
You've done a very nice install video and the programming video is very informative. I'm a fan of Tsunamis but, unfortunately, they don't do the distinctive Cooper Bessemer FWL-6T prime mover. The Cummins sound you've chosen is the most appropriate that Soundtraxx do but very different from the Cooper Bessemer.
@@CountBagula You are correct. The preferred sound set is not available from Soundtraxx as far as I am aware. There is justification for the Cummins in that at least one unit, now in Mexico, was repowered that way, and there may be more. There is also at least one running around on the High Point Thomasville & Denton Railroad with Cat power. I don't know who has a CB FWL-6T sound set.
@@HappyHoboTrains True. You've picked the best available primer mover on the Tsunami. I believe Loksound have recently released the Cooper Bessemer prime mover. Unfortunately they haven't put up a demo yet so it's hard to tell how good it is.
@@CountBagula Thanks for the info. I'll have to check it out. I have some Loksound Selects in my box of extracts, so might be able to put them to use! Model railroaders never throw anything away!
I know but some company are dumB/cheep They can not follow N M R A standers but that can make it easier on all of us! but they might not want it like that. And I do under stand in the past that was no wiring standers. I do have Athearn blue box locomotives that the only stander was the the positive of the motor was the right rail the left rail was the negative .
Thanks for sharing, this is a very detailed install video!
Pretty straightforward, but not quite plug-n-play! I am a big SoundTraxx fan, by the way.
@@HappyHoboTrains Thanks!
@@SoundtraxxDCC I will probably be doing more. You are "da bomb"!

It turned out to be a rather enjoyable upgrade! The results were definitely worth the effort!
Great video. Just the tutorial I was looking for before trying my own. Thank you.
Have fun!
very clean installation
Thanks. This was one model that exceeded my expectations, and is a favorite to run.
BTW: What TCS keep Alive did you use/
Thanks for your comments. I used the KA-4, as it was the smallest I could find, and has enough capacity to do the job.
that color code is the N M R A standard Code for dcc
Yes it is, but not all manufacturers comply with the standard. This seems especially true for older equipment.
Why go to all that trouble to install the wrong sound file?
