Nice work. Must have been fun to build. It's kind of like the Palitoy playset on steroids. Weird to see the mixture of vintage and modern figures. (I spotted that rare vintage Death Star Gunner in there.) And, of course, the Clone troopers were an interesting choice. It looks like you have a little space to make a small room behind the superlaser. I guess there's no room for an Imperial Shuttle landing bay anywhere. ;) Pretty cool, "all around". MTFBWY
Hello Steverino, thank you very much for your comment. Yes, the Palitoy Death Star Playset was the template or model. The clones do not fit there chronologically but I like the red clones, they secure the emperor´s room. The Tydirium found no place, only the small one in the lower department. I wish I had teh place for a bigger one for all TIE-Fighters and Shuttles. That would be really exciting. So this is the compact Version easy to Play with and still light enough to hang on the ceiling like a lamp. Thank you for watching. I will watch your Videos, too. MtFbwY!
This one's even better manufactured than the other custom Death Star I've seen here on youtube, though it lacks some of the features. Kudos anyway, as I would never put the efforts, I guess. Great piece of work!
wow man! you have an awesome collection! i have myself a collection also :) i have over 200 figures but i dont have em in such a cool way as you men, congrats on your collection its awesomw
Dear Star Wars Fan! Thank you very much for your nice feedback. If you like building dioramas too, let us know! ;o) May the Force be with you and your collection!!!! Markus from Berlin/Germany
HAHAHA, you can hear the tension on the tiny string holding it up. It's hanging on for dear life....I was hoping it falls and breaks and you screaming NOOOOOOOOOO!!!
FANTASTIC Diarama of Death Star... and you managed to fit quite a few good scenes with your figures on it. WELL DONE!! What are the main materials for structure made of?? And do you have any still photos of your creation or a link to them??
beckiswelt Impressive . Every time a I see the Imperial 'Briefing room scene', I cannot get the brilliant vid 'Darth Scwartzenegger' (on Utube) out of my mind. Highly recommended , if you have not already seen it .
Hi Pikachu, thank you very much for your comment. Sorry I have no "Making Of" but you can build your own Death Star easily: just look at the vintage Playset from Palitoy from the 70ies that is made the same way by putting cardboard pieces together. The Palitoy set is a hemisphere, so build two and put them together or lay the upper half on a glass table and attach the other underneath the glass table top. Or you can hang it at the ceiling like I did. I used a lot of imagination and film scenes or photos and the backgrounds from the other DS playset from Kenner for the decals and typical lights. I coverd the edges of the corrugated cardboard with black stripes on every outside wall. Good luck and may the Force be with you! Markus

Nice
Why are there clones?
Why the hell are clones in it???
Why NOT is the real question.
Matthew Ingram because clone troopers are cool that’s why
why is there clones in the death star?
because clones are awesome
Clones are cool.
This is Great!!!
Cool
I'd be super paranoid around the house if I heard something fall down,"WHAT WAS THAT, WAS THAT MY DEATH STAR?"
