The greatness of Rupert’s teaching is that it doesn’t comes from exotic experiences that only a few can have, it is not even a religion because is based in fundamental common sense and subjective experiences that every body shares.
My husband has no connection to this subject, this is the first podcast I have watched where I feel I can share this video with him. So simple, succinct and powerful! ❤
I love how Cathy is SO upfront and honest with her journey and not trying to act like she is “this or that”, we need more honesty like that in the spiritual community imo. If we had more of this, we would have more great conversations to help others get back home 🏡❤
Hands down the best interview of Rupert I've seen. Hands down. Today is my last day being 44 years old. I've known/intuited that I would become "enlightened" this year for a couple of years now. I won't say that I'm "enlightened" but I can certainly say that I've grown greatly recently. I also feel that I'm on the precipice of living primarily in non-egoic identity versus an egoic identity. The synchronicities in my life are clear. The ego comes in and says sometimes "it's not enough". But I also think "wow, this is incredible and fun."
45:01 this morning I asked myself in my head "why does my mother always start a fight JUST when we're becoming so close" - well there's my answer. EVERY TIME we're getting so close she starts a fight and I always wondered why. Thank you Rupert.
This was one of the most touching and inspiring interviews I’ve ever been blessed by! I’ve sent it to three friends and my sisters… thank you for the work you both are doing on this 🌍 that’s all I can say…. There are Just no words that can describe my gratitude 🙏
Superb Cathy. This was just brilliant> You just took out the best from Rupert who in such plain words explained so many things. Well done & Thanks a lot.
Wow just wow ❤ every word of this interview strings a chord straight in the heart 😊 rupert is exceptional 🫶🏻 thank you cathy for such a great interview 🥰
Cathy I felt like you the entire interview.. A LOT of ooooooooooooooh and ahhhhhhh, repeating his words lol I'm still listening to it 2 hours later, just rewinding it over and over again
31:40 "All these other forms of meditation are preparation for ultimate meditation, which isn't the directing of attention towards anything. It's the relaxation of attention, the sinking of the mind into the heart."
piece is just half of the story. For bliss you need relationship and form. So in the deepest core we have form similiar to that of God. It is inconceivable but not formless.
This is very interesting. I wonder if it is more common for spiritual seekers to have more of a sensitive / anxious personality and therefore it is more difficult to be present with everything that is happening around. I know that some of my friends that are more "solid", clear on their own boundaries (and usually brought up in rather harmonious homes) are not as prone to seek for happiness in that way.
@@mspattycakes1954 Mamy times over probably, I am still trying to depend my understanding of non duality. Do you have a more precise comment to help me with that?
Everybody seeks happiness Mikael whether they realise it or not. Every single one of us. Increased suffering may be a gift to turn up the intensity with which we seek it and where.
Rupert has many videos on RUclips as does his teacher Francis Lucille. They both offer in person retreats and online sessions where you can ask any questions you may have directly.
29:06 - "...it is, was, and always will be." I can relate to that observation but only partially . "it is, was, " that could be asserted , no problem. "always will be ? " , how do you know that? How can one be certain of what's going to happen in the future? How do you know that you always will be? What makes you believe that ?
Rupert relies mainly on Self-Enquiry as a method of "getting back to the Source' but Self-Enquiry as a standard part of Buddhism going back to Nargajuna (150-250), was/is regarded as a preparatory method. My advice: conduct an exhaustive search into the various methods of topping into and merging with Pure Consciousness, then stick with the methods that work. Good luck.
Great lecture, but now for the practical part. Access "Mahamritunjaya mantra - Sacred Sounds Choir" and listen to it for 5 min per day for at least two weeks. In short order you will be able to tap into and merge with Pure Awareness "In-Itself", Sat-Chit-Ananda.
We cannot find happiness, we can create it by purifying our mind amd heart and eliminating all egoic tendencies such as, lust, gluttony, greed, acarice, pride, anger, hatred, fear, jealousy, envy, etc. All the rest is just a very nice dream❤
There isn't ultimate happiness. Happiness comes and goes. Contentment comes from being satisfied with what we have. The feeling of lack that people experience comes from the belief that something outside of ourselves can fulfill us.
Dear Rupert, it is very hard for me to understand that "happiness is the nature of our being" (min. 19'42"). It is so hard when you have a physical pain. I'd say instead (... with most religions) that life is a valley of tears.
I kind of wondered why Rupert was on this show at all. When asked about manifesting, he basically said it's a compensation for people not knowing their true selves. Many of this woman's other shows seem to be about manifesting money, and/or becoming a "better person"....not at all Rupert's focus or message.

I’ve been listening to Rupert for a while but this interview hit me like a ton of bricks. Thank you! 🙏🏼

Rupert is a gift to mankind.
“There are desires that comes from the nature of our being. That’s called creativity “ Omg I love this
I love her (Cathy) 🥰. I love her authenticity ❤

I just found Rupert! Loved this discussion!
“We no longer let them define us. What defines us? Just our pure being”

Rigpa: resting in pure awareness.🙏

42...47 Happiness is above else. Example of moth and candle. Happiness is loss of separation.
27,28... Exploration of self

“The moth is the Ego and the candle is happiness” OMG
I'm I'm !!
If we were "JOY" 24/7 it would become normal and the "JOY" would be lost.

Interesting take….but I think you could benefit from listening again

@@DrawingAndPaintingMeditations Thanks. I have been following Rupert for about 1.5 years and participated in 2-3 retreats and many seminars.
9.. happiness we know before
We just don't "stick to things" It's the continuum of those things we need. We tend to go right back to our "old" patterns.

Agrippa said to Paul. Almost❤
The moth to the flame!!! 🤯

Waiting for Monty Python's The Quest for Happiness.

FRIENDLY RESPECTFULLY ANEW YOU YOU
Cathy heller goodluck with being drama Queen
LOL
So sad speaker using Rupert Spira to talk that much about her own ego and how good that is. Rupert must have shaken his head when closing the line.
