Probably not to important but when you hear running while not interacting with him he is not in your room 6. Never stop cycling between doors.

if you flash him, then you can only flash him for a split second or you die, like press the button once and if he's there, immediately let go of the button, but if you don't see him, then you dead cause he's on the other side
