I lost my wife, of 20 yrs, a year and a half ago... still haven't recovered. For me time is irrelevant. I'll be miserable for the rest of my life. You guys help me cope, thank you for that so much. Not trying to be captain bringdown... just my personal connection to the song. Thank you guys. Great vid🙏🇮🇳🕉🕺❤️💃
Hang in there brother. I lost my wife 10 years ago. You'll eventually get to a point where you start having more good days again and not as many bad days.
@@Otaku-420 thanks bro... my condolences and sorry for your loss. It's been a long and bumpy ride. My ass is sore and I'm weary. I still got a few more miles left in me though. 🤘🕉
I'm not gonna tell you how to live your life my friend... but one day, just once, look in the mirror, say your comment out loud, and tell me if your wife would have liked to hear that the love of her life just gave up on life without her. I cannot imagine the pain you are going through nor will I act like I do... but if I died and was married to someone for 20 years, I'd want them to continue on with life and live enough for both of us. Cheers friend. Live well.
I am so very sorry for your loss. There’s nothing I can say to make you feel any better, but good for you to keep trying to go on as best you can. I’m sure she would want you to. 20 years is a long time, but never long enough. (I’ve been married ten years and it’s gone by in an instant). She must have loved you very much and would want you to do as well as you possibly can without her. Good luck to you, friend.
Jimmy actually suffered not only from depression but severe stomach problems and an enlarged heart. He took his own life 3 days after writing the song Fiction and a goodbye to all his family (including his bandmates) and friends. If I remember correctly he wanted to have control over his death and not allow his illness to have that power and he also just wanted to stop his suffering.
Very difficult to hear this song, last year my father and my grandfather passed away. Although my grandfather had cancer and we kinda saw it coming, when my father passed it was unexpected. It bothered me that the last thing I got to say to him was "see you later" and he said "later." About 6 months after he passed, I had a very strange dream. I have only had that one dream about him, I remember it started in the kitchen of our first house and he was standing by the coffee pot. He turned around and I gasped and said "I love you" and he said "I'm sorry" I hugged him and it felt like I actually hugged him. I'm not a religious person but I believed that god gave me that chance to say goodbye, ever since that night i have prayed, every night. I probably shouldn't have shared this but everyday I think about him, it's still tough. I would have never picked up a guitar or would be into the amazing music I listen to everyday if it weren't for him. He did alot for me I just felt like there was still so much we didn't get the chance to talk about.
I lost two of my closest friends to overdoses within a month of each other. That was 20 years ago, but it changed my life forever. I think of them every time I hear this song.
The drummer was a best friend of many of the band members since childhood. He suffered pretty bad from depression. The band almost broke up when he died
R.I.P James Owen Sullivan (The Rev) 1981-2009 u founded that band no one can take ur place band will never be the same bc no drummer holds the emotion to ot that u did brotha rest in peace
Synyster Gates originally wrote this song for his Grandfather that passed away and unfortunately, THE REV passed around the same time he finished the song.
I heard that too haha. I let it slide. It was a good reaction but yeah they wrote everything. In fact they didn’t just lose their best friend they lost one of the biggest writers in the band
Great choice for a song, not a band I really listen too, but I do know this song. ruclips.net/video/9JhsUFuqbCM/видео.html here's another good song about heartache and addiction, the lead singer (Scott Weiland) died of a drug overdose while on tour.
My god who are these two? Do they have that many views because people enjoy watching them as a joke? Boy band? They do not usually write their own music? That guy obviously did not do any reasearch
