Thanks Augnieszka...you're really a great teacher in English...to be honest I had learned Engliah for many years before I met you in RUclips one year ago...so great..again thank you very much indeed
Hi, I am having this doubt with some comments cos in the video she says that if what happened before is clear, we use past simple. So it would be: "Before I found your page I had no idea about this verb tense" the correct form? What do you think about it? I just want to clarify this, I hope u dont mind abuot my comment.
Thank you so much! I got them all correct. So glad! 😊 However, it would be great if you could tell me the difference between the following sentences: I had had breakfast before I went to office. I had breakfast before I went to office.
Hello!I hope you dont mind me answering. Basically, the verb here is "had breakfast", which means to eat breakfast. This is simple past. Eg: "I had my breakfast with him last week." Now, when you turn it into a past perfect, there will be two "had's". Eg: "I had
@@Naba-merlos thank you for attempting to answer my question, but I don't get your point. And you didn't get my point either! In the video she says the second sentence is correct and there's no need for the first one. My question is, why? What's the difference between the two? Can anyone help me with this?
@@anp2008123The difference is that in the first example it is clear that first you had breakfast and then you went to the office, so what happened before or first is clear(So you dont need to use past perfect, that's why the correct form is the second one). When we need to specify or make clear what happened before something else then we use the past perfect . So if the order or what happened first or before is clear, we use past simple (minute 3:49) and if we need to clarify that something happened before something else we use past perfect.
Yo what's up everyone i hope you're feeling cool you're videos are really incredible and you're an awesome teacher here you go i love it by the way shout out to you from Egypt i love y'all 😮😅😅😮😊😅😅😅
Hi, I have a doubt ( at minute 3:49 ) in the video she says that if the word ‘before’ clarifies what happened first, we only need the simple past. So if the word ‘before’ is used, doesn't it clarify what happened before? So in that case the correct thing to do would be to use the simple past, what do you think?
Best teacher ever.
I have made two mistakes which are the number 1 and 4. And I don't know somehow I love the present perfect!❤️ Thanks a lot, Aga.🍀

One mistake about using past simple with this morning 🙂
🎉🎉🎉
👋
English with Aga, What happened yesterday at 5:00? I see, he comes in the room, takes the wallet and goes out....
Ok let's keep it this way.
"I had already eaten a whole cake 🎂 before I realized that was meant for my friend's birthday. 🎈 " 😅

Useful video, but the title is about a specific tense
"This was a lesson I had been looking forward to."
Is this comment correct?
I had had my best close friend before he left me
I didn't understand yet 😔
I had used past Perfect before I used simple past.
Thanks
You’re welcome! 😊
