Mam, I have a doubt.
We know that the word "day" means a duration of twenty - four hours.
So when we say, every day
It is a expression of twenty - four hours of individual day.
If I say,
I do my work every day.
Does it mean,
I do my work at any point or any duration of time that lies in a duration of that twenty four hours.every day means every intervel of twenty four hours.
But, when we say
Every other day
Here, every and other are used as a determiner.
Every shows a regular intervel of twenty -four hours.
Other indicates that the day that is different from first one.
I go to school every other day.
Here, why do we use two determiners .
Please help me to understand ,mam
