Very helpful. I've got most of my jobs in the past simply through word of mouth and just by bringing my camera with me everywhere and shooting when I have time. I still think that is a good way to get work, but marketing definitely helps with moving up in the industry and getting more reliable work. I just started setting up my Google My Business! Nice. Word of mouth is a great way to get clients...I just find that it's not consistent, but that's just my experience. And bringing your camera with you everywhere is smart👌 Google My Business brings in a lot of traffic, especially if you post consistently and get reviews!

Yes I do the same my wife said babe take your camera and I do everytime i step out the house. I jumping into making my portfolio page so people can see my work. I've done a bridal shower, seniors dinner, 1yr old party doing a 50th birthday this Saturday. I've seen so much improvement in a year or so with my knowledge of my camera. Always on RUclips looking and listening to other photographers niche.

Good advice, sir. Identifying your target client is important for any business. It’s hard when you’re beginning not to market yourself as able to do anything. People underestimate how scary it is to wait for that next call, email, or text.

Most of my clients see me doing photos and the ask me are you a photographer I say yes I am. I've been taking pictures for years but now I'm going professional. I let them know where I have a page and were they can see my work. I also let them know that I'm a beginner is digital photography.

Hi. You need to use a keyword tool. For example, Semrush is a good one. Some are free and some you have to pay.

I'm still new so I don't have paying clients but because I model most of the women are willing to collab. They love free photos lol. The men? Not so much 😒😒
