  • Forging a scull handled knife.
I do not forge blades often, so I am not that good at them
I learned how to forge skulls from Thak Ironworks.

Stunning work! I wish I could do stuff like that, the only difference I would make is I'd have "Skully" facing the cutting edge not the back but as I say that's just personal preference! Wonderful craftsmanship!

      Thanks.
I made the skull face the spine of the blade so that the pinky could hook behind the back of the skull.

Videos like these fill me with so many feelings.
Happiness, to see just a beautiful creation.
Sadness, to know that I never have and never will be this good.
Anger, at the fact that I will never be good enough to create something as beautiful as you can.
And inspiration, because now I want to go out to my shop and try to create a sculpture or figure...

      Glad to inspire.
I am sure though that you could also forge something like this.
It is not all to difficult if you have practiced forging for a while.

That blade is not soft, but the result of quenched is not good, when steel became whitening during quenching the blade is strong enough to cut another steel
