Beautiful, great documentary, my favorite mountain, climbed Mt Rainier several times. Btw, it's only a few feet lower than Mt. Whitney however it's the tallest mountain, most prominent in Continental US. And In the top 20 of tallest mountains in the World! I believe it's one place higher on list in prominence than K2 which is second highest mountain in World!
It's definitely our favorite mountains! It has such a massive presence about it and the areas surrounding it are beautiful, too. It's sure hard to beat Washington!
Absolutely incredible! I practically teared up in the section when you were up on the bluff and it was so quiet…that's my favorite thing about being up high in the mountains. Silence. And the vistas !! 🤤
I never leave comments in videos, but I had to here - your guys’ editing quality and videography is just insanely awesome. These videos deserve ALL THE VIEWS. Thank you for your videos 🤍
I was at the Paradise side in August. Within an hour of our first hike we saw deer, grouse, loads of chipmunks, and a black bear. The next day we added marmots and pikas. The first 2 days were cloudy and beautiful. The second 2 were sunny and beautiful 😁
Thanks for sharing your visit to Mount Rainier! I used to visit the mountain all the time when I lived in Tacoma and Seattle back in the late 1960’s’. During the wintertime we would take our sleds and go sledding in the early afternoons. I’m sure a lot has changed in the past 50 + years but she still looks so regal against the blue skies!
Beautiful video! My hubby and I were hiking in the Adirondacks, and while on the trail a chipmunk stood on a rock and squealed at us on his hind legs. It made us stop in our tracks. Then about fifty yard ahead of a us a black bear walked across the trail. We think the little guy was warning us of the bear.
Nice cinematic video you two! Very well done 👏 We’d love to do some hiking at Mt Rainier 😊 thanks for sharing the Thailand foot story 🤣👌 Jake is also quite clumsy 🤪
You're making me wanna travel out west again! I will say when y'all are back in Chattanooga if you're trying to scratch that climb a mountain in solitude itch to head to Big Frog Mountain about an hour east of town. If you start at the trailhead on FS 221 it's about 11 mile round-trip to the summit. Views are limited in the summer but pretty open come winter and I've never seen more than 2-4 people on that trail. Highest mountain nearest to Nooga as well. Well worth the hike! Can't wait to see your next adventure!
Alas, my last trip was all cloudy and rainy. Definitely didn't see the views from Sunrise and the area around the southern visitor center. I'd like to do the Wonderland Trail some day
Such a great video!!!! I love traveling with you guys. I'm stuck at home at home (on a chemo drug with a zapped immune system.....in the midst of a pandemic), and I'm so thankful for these videos.
I though you were going to say that they had to overcharge him for a foot massage lol Seriously though you guys are amazing!! My Golden Retriever Rigel says hello to Kramer)
Golden-mantled ground squirrel; not a chipmunk (I've made the same mistake). Y'all haven't done the Carbon River/Mowich Corner of the Park? Ohanapecosh?
@@chrisandsara Spray Park or Tolmie Peak out of Mowich Lake? Oh yeah. Carbon River has its charms as well (old growth forest, abandoned mine entrance, a couple readily accessible waterfalls); plus, you can bike the (gravel, washed out in some placed) road up to Ipsut Creek and then hike from there, which puts Yellowstone Cliffs or the toe of the Carbon glacier within comfortable day-hiking range.
My son and I hike for two days at Mount Rainier National Park on September 6th and 7th. Super dry conditions. There was no Wildlife anywhere to be seen. It was kind of strange. my son said that we see more wildlife in our backyard back in Wisconsin. I was a bit baffled. Very few Birds, insects and no mammals at all.
The cinematography…the storytelling…*chef’s kiss 😚 * thanks for bringing us with you!
Thanks so much for watching!
I get to see her every morning, weather permitting, on my drive to work. Never gets old.
That's amazing!
The two minute intro was EVERYTHING!!!
Ah! Thank you!! We can only take like 1% of the credit though, rainier was looking 💯 when we were there. ☺️
Wow, another great video. Sara looked really excited about breakfast until she found out they did not have coffee.
Beautiful! Love the visuals and cinematography! Makes me miss MRNP so much! Can’t wait to go back!
Thank you!! We love MRNP and can't wait to visit again soon, too!

Ohhhh, goodie, goodie gumdrops a new video. Ya'll made my day.❤

Y'all badass for hiking post-leg day!
😂😂😂🙏
The zit! 😂 This was such a beautiful video, guys! So many awesome shots to highlight such a magnificent place!
Thank you!
love you guys so much!! ❤️➕❤️
To have the park to yourself on a hike, beautiful. Normally it's the Hunger Games out there. At least the sky is clear to view it and not smoky.
It was amazing!

Hope you get time for Crater Lake National Park.
Watching from Memphis, planning on moving to Washington soon. I went for my bday back in November
Best of luck with your move from TN! Washington is truly incredible. ❤

Spent two weeks in WA. That's exactly how I'd describe it: "moody."
Such a great video!!!! I love traveling with you guys. I'm stuck at home at home (on a chemo drug with a zapped immune system.....in the midst of a pandemic), and I'm so thankful for these videos.
We're so sorry to hear that, but thankful we're able to bring a small piece of light to your day!
Really awesome video, enjoyed it. We just visited Mt. Rainier last week. It was amazing..Just curious, When was this video shot?
Thanks so much! ❤️ this video was shot about 2 weeks ago. ☺️
Things we learned - Chris has big feet, Sara needs coffee in the AM 😂 Not to mention Mount Rainier is gorgeous!
😂😂😂 you get us.
They could of showed the shot of Seattle From there longer. But still a good vid.
I wear a size 10 shoe so I'm with you on the big feet 😆
Next time, go up Third Burroughs Mt on this same trail and you will be on the side of the mountain close and personal.
Oh what a good tip! We will do that!
I though you were going to say that they had to overcharge him for a foot massage lol
Seriously though you guys are amazing!! My Golden Retriever Rigel says hello to Kramer)
Kramer says "hello Rigel!"
New to this channel, great video! Is this from October this year? The weather looks really pleasant.
Hey there! Welcome to our channel! Yes, this was filmed about 2 weeks ago and the weather was perfect then.
What were the trails that you hiked?
If I may ask, years later lol, but what was the music track you used around the 12:00 minute mark?
Hey! The song is called "Imbre" by Jordan Fritz. :) We love a good piano song to set the mood in a video!
Hi folks, instead of of doing longitude and latitude for location's why not try what3words, it will give you an exact location to where you are 😁👍🇬🇧🇺🇸
The saddest words in this video..."the coffee machine is broken..." 😭
Haha agreed!
It is not silent, it is quiet!!
👍

Oh thank you!! I had no idea that wasn’t a chipmunk. 🙃 we haven’t done those yet unfortunately. Are they worth the hike?

Chris to Sarah…..the coffee machine was broken. Sarah and Kramer 😭😭
😂😂
When I build my house, Sara can come excavate the foundation. She knows how to dig a deep hole and not stop. (5:56) :P
