  • Hello Guys! ☺️
Here is my new ASMR therapist video about Social Anxiety.
I've been meaning to cover this topic for a while so here it finally is!
Together we complete a short social anxiety questionnaire to determine if you have the disorder. Then we make a social anxiety hierarchy to explore what type of situations create the most social anxiety for you.
Let me know what you'd like me to cover next 😁🌟
NOTE- If you would like to complete the Social Anxiety questionnaire yourself , you can find it through this link-

Hey. Great to see another upload.
The trouble with anxiety is I get anxiety from discussing anxiety... Panic attacks breed panic attacks, unfortunately. In my experience anyway.
If you're after subject ideas, pain management springs to mind. Or dealing with a new disability. Even though temporary it's certainly hit me hard when I've broken limbs.

I'm much better now, but I used to be painfully shy as a child. I definitely would have been too anxious to speak to a bus driver and I used to avoid eye-contact during conversations until I was an adult so I identified with a bunch of this. You mention in some of your videos how you and the client will have multiple sessions to work on an issue, so rather than meeting someone new to start each video, have you thought of doing a sequel or short series, just to explore what later sessions might look like?

Thanks for sharing, I can definitely relate to similar childhood experiences. Also, great idea and I had also been contemplating this 😁 A couple reasons why I haven't so far is because - 1. I think more typing and writing triggers come from a first session and 2. I'm not super confident in my own abilities to keep carrying on the story and figuring out how to create meaningful sessions with them. I'll keep sitting with this one and see if the right opportunity presents itself. Would love to follow up on this social anxiety one though. Thanks for the suggestion 🌟

@@ASMRtherapist1 Thanks as always for being responsive. To respond, you could always take notes writing/typing even if it's not the first session. But you also don't have to have those triggers at all. And even if you don't feel confident about continuing a session, isn't the point of this channel for you to work out and experiment with aspects of your profession you don't feel confident about, so you can get practice? This is the place to make mistakes - Your asmr viewers here won't judge you harshly.

This has been my life for forty plus years. Anxiety is so debilitating and all consuming it certainly has stopped me from leading a fulfilling life. Unfortunately coping mechanisms make sense in the therapy environment but not so much in practice in the real world. The state the world is in, continuous wars, controlling governments, cost of living means anxiety and depression is the real pandemic now.

Thank you for being so honest about your struggles with anxiety 🌟 I agree it can be very difficult at times to work on ourselves in the current state of the world we are living in.

Understandable on RUclips but kind of detrimental to a healthy therapeutic relationship that must be built on mutual trust. 😂❤🤪😎
