  • TEST VIDEO (1 of 3): Lithium-ion 18650-format Cylindrical Cells
FM Global has conducted research on lithium-ion batteries in an industry collaboration with the Property Insurance Research Group through the National Fire Protection Association's (NFPA) Fire Protection Research Foundation. These fire tests were conducted at the FM Global Research Campus in Rhode Island, USA in September and October 2012.
Lithium-ion 18650-format Cylindrical Cells: This test is an evaluation of the fire hazard posed by bulk storage of lithium-ion batteries in a warehouse setting. The test array represents rack storage up to 15 ft high and contains 19,200 cylindrical cells.

You skipped the point where the cells become involved till 6min after! Why? Completely pointless.

also this is very Sketchy as the cells pop off like fire crackers literally Wizzing in all directions ontop of exploding like a white prosperous . this does not show the ACTUAL threat of bulk Lithium cells on fire. it is part of the grift to make it appear as if they are some how SAFE .. THEY ARE NOT

Who narrated this? He sounds so familiar. Does he have a job with National Geographic?

It need tested by not external heating, must be by internal thermal runaway. So this test is less meaningful

sadly its not External Fire thats the threat from the lithium cells its the time bomb effect they all pose when during charge and discharge.. if one Pops off...cascade happens
