Wonderful building, resplendent garden. Thank goodness it will now be preserved.

It is absolutely a great idea. Keeping the historical identity, sustainability and the green roof is splendid.

I find this project quite beautiful. There is something to be said for a structure that is so full of grace at and yet rough texturally. If the windows weren't as large as they are, I don't think the project would've been as successful. When considering its' landscaping and relationship to the street as well, it is a job very well done.

Me in the first 10 seconds of the video: what a load of nothing in the name of architecture!
Me by the end of the video: this is beyond beautiful! The concept! The execution! The multi-diciplinary thought process behind it!
Pat yourselves on the back people of Groupwork!

The architect says 'innate beauty.' Inane beauty would be something entirely different, I think. Dezeen, please edit your description. You should be embarrassed that it's been posted incorrectly for two years.

To me, it looks like it's halfway through demolition/in the process of receiving new cladding. It also doesn't look structurally sound (to me). Would have liked to have seen it constructed with CLT, especially with Mr. Taha discussing sustainability. However, I do like the green roof.

Stone is a sustainable building material just like wood and Cross laminated timber isn't always the most sustainable material there is. Also it would probably look off considering the fact that surrounding building are made of mineral material. If you like wood go look at Barret's grove by admin taha also

I like it.. Bold, understated beauty ... it correlates, and anchors nicely, with the church. Good job.

A bit brutal for my taste.
