Eve is incredible. Rhaenys was so underused and sidelined yet Eve still pulled off the defining moment of the season. Her absence is felt 💔
She had quite alot of screen time though.

Yes, apart from that one time she slaughtered hundreds of inocent people just show off. How a poorly thought out scene for the sake of shock value messed with the integrity of a great character.

She literally kill hundreds of people and then turns around and act like it was such a noble thing and also somehow she has the moral high ground in the war. Its also funny how everybody just ignore what she did but when aegon kill the ratcatcher they act like its such a horrible. The writers who wrote her character are fking dumb and only want to a girlboss moment but ended up ruining her character
Every word that came out of her mouth were the best lines. Thank God for Eve Best, the way she portrayed Rhaenys is so beautiful, the grace, the strength and the power. The Queen that should've been❤
Rest In Peace, The Queen Who Never Was. She died as a warrior. She was my favorite character 🩷
I loved her arc with Rhaenrya specifically. From child to child bearing woman, princess to heir to queen, Rhaenys witnessed the growth. Although she believed her son was murdered by her, she felt gods justice when Rhaenrya lost her baby and then Luke. Yet, grew a slow burning admiration for her constraint as Queen, during the beginning of the Dance of Dragons. She knew that Rhaenrya was the rightful Queen and one who deserved to be a ruler. So much so, that she would die for her in the end.

In another universe, Rhaenys would have ascended the Iron Throne, Laenor would have been Prince of Dragonstone, he and Rhaenyra would have wed to seal the breach between Rhaenys and Viserys, and Rhaenyra's descendants would still continue the royal line.
We all forget that Laenor was a gay with no real male heirs of his own, therfore there is still a chance of storyline similar to the one we got.

God I miss Princess Rhaenys so much already and my heart still breaks for Lord Corlys, ever since I started watching this series House Velaryon has been my favorite and those two along with their children are my favorite characters, Eve Best and Steve Toussaint are the best pair to play these two all thanks to their intense chemistry on and off set 💙🩵🧜🏿♀️🧜🏿♂️🔱

Well that's not true. There are so many other scenes that are not in this tribute. Especially from season 1, but also from season 2.
I think quite the opposite, she got a lot of screentime for seemingly appearing to be a side-character. I definitely don't think she had too few scenes.
I do agree that she is not given enough screen time but every line we get from her is grade A acting.

I think the point of Rhaenys and Meleys crashing into Aegon's coronation people say it's stupid but I think the point is to remind everyone in midst of the joy that this means a war with dragons and that will lead to so much death and destruction

To all the haters of Rhaenys, STFD if you know a better way to get your self and dragon to freedom while a coup is happening. She got out of there and freed her dragon in enemy territory. What y’all’s think, they’d let her go if she didn’t swear loyalty to Aegon? No, she had a powerful weapon and it was chained/captured in the dragon pit vulnerable to attack. So no her busting out of the dragon pit ain’t a problem.

While Eve Best was AMAZING as Rhaenys...the showrunners/writers absolutely neutered/tainted her character in ONE scene, that they actively try to never mention: Dragonpit Massacre of the smallfolk.
Not a single in-world consequence for this horrific war crime & the sanctimonious anti-war speeches fell flat bc of who was delivering the information.
I'd take her character more seriously if it wasn't tainted by that nonsense moment...
But I guess Condal/Hess 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘢 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘰𝘵 Rhaenys/Meleys committed that mass murder 🙃
And the last straw for me is that they're simultaneously trying to portray Aegon's killing of ratcatchers as a horrendous crime with vast consequences. Either both of these acts have consequences or neither.
The Greens should parade the dragon head saying "This is the dragon that trampled your fathers and brothers. We killed the traitor Rhaenys - the smasher of smallfolk".

All this is fictional and I'm still so affected. It's like dragons are big dogs/cats with wings. They're not allowed to get hurt, they're not supposed to die... The writers, directors, actors, CGI artists, GRRM, you have my respect for making this amazing show. Don't ruin it eventually, please.

Her legacy is stomping on and squashing a couple hundred King's Landing peasants while not lifting a finger to stop a usurper from taking the throne, thus enabling a horrendous, fiery and bloody civil war. And then preaching about avoiding bloodshed as if she doesn't have the highest civilian kill count out of everyone in the room. Other than that major issue shadowing her entire character and story from S1E9 onwards she was a great character. RIP Rhaenys. You deserved better (from the writers of episode 9 specifically)

Rhaenys in series was not same as was in the books, but The Queen Who Never Was and her dragon Meleys, The Red Queen both got end what they deserve.
