I just wanna say thank you so much for your videos I had my DECA districts competition and i got 2nd place with a glass and 96 on the roleplay. I wouldn’t have done this without you, please don’t stop making these videos they’re very helpful! especially when u told us to look at the instructional areas that literally saved my life, i flied through the roleplay with ease. Any tips on state for PEN?
A TDM walkthrough-- like a sample role play or a general "how to approach TDM" video? I guess both are possible but which do you think I need to start with?
@@BowtieGOAT I think starting with a sample roleplay walkthrough for TDM would be a great first step! It would really help show how to approach it in real time. It would be helpful if you also share a rough timeline for the roleplay, similar to the one you had for your individual series? Could you also incorporate how to showcase all the 21st century thinking skills. No one that has ever told me how to showcase the 21st Century Thinking Skills.
This is one of the activities I will be doing with my chapter in October. I will record it and post it for everyone. My ETDM team placed in the top 10 at ICDC last year. Their tips will be very helpful. Keep an eye out for it!
Hey there, I'm a new deca member from the Texas area. I am taking the Principles of Entrepreneurship. I just took the district test, which was the business admin core, and was wondering what is a good score to qualify for state competition. I am expecting a score between 80-90. What do you think about state qualification. And how the competition will be in the Principles of Entrepreneurship.
Hi! I love your videos. I have a question (it isn't rlly related to the video so sorry about that). For prepared event presentations, do we need to make like a poster? (Im doing franchise if that helps)
You don't have to make a poster. I advise doing what makes YOU most comfortable. I think about half of the competitors at PA states will do a poster while half do a digital presentation. Neither is a guaranteed method for getting to ICDC; you need to present how you present best.
Hi! I’m a new Deca member and I decided to do the principals of entrepreneurship(PEN). Can you suggest any resources on what platforms I should study on, also how would I prepare for the role play’s given.
My role play video is really helpful for this. ruclips.net/video/ak71cLenjMc/видео.html Just practice a lot. Record yourself and watch to make improvements.
Hey I got a question! for my cluster which is PFL, the cases of the past have been posted on our google classroom, and it always shows a different instructional area for each roleplay #1, #2, and #3, and since my cluster has 3 total members, will we all get different instructional areas?? (spending and saving, employment and income, credit and debt, and other stuff like that), or will we all get the same one like for example spending and saving, cuz that’s the only one we did at the practice roleplays that the club held. I also checked the DISTRICT INSTRUCTIONAL AREAS for this year, and it shows that the instructional area is Saving. So in conclusion, will we all get the same instructional areas??? As I don't want to study for only Saving as it's listed on the DISTRICT INSTRUCTIONAL AREAS, and then get stuck with Credit and Debt on the actual roleplay. My regionals roleplay is tomorrow btw so please respond ASAP!!
You will all get the same instructional area at districts, which is SAVING. At states and ICDC, you will all get the same role play, but those do not get announced.
Hi! I'm a new DECA member in Texas and still deciding whether to do a principles event or indivdual series event. What do you reccomend. And what is more difficult and easier in competitiveness. Thanks a lot, I would also appreciate any tips you have for me and any good ways which you know to study for this!
Pick your favorite. Between the choices, competitiveness isn't a big difference. You may have less competitors in an individual event, but they will have more experience (likely).
Hello! I am a brand new deca member this year and it is also my schools first year competing. I am going to do the PEN event. What ways do you recommend studying for the cluster exam? I have no idea where to start! I already am aware of the sample exam on the deca website, but what other ways can I prepare for the exam for principles in entrepreneurship? Thank you so much!
I'd be happy to help. The DECA cluster exam isn't sexy. Here's how I recommend studying- now anyway: ruclips.net/video/a1OSXDQHEa0/видео.html I'm working on funding to launch a DECA competition prep app- hopefully to launch in Jan 2025!
Tips in this video are helpful for any Principles event. If you are looking exclusively for cluster exam tips, look at this: ruclips.net/video/a1OSXDQHEa0/видео.html
Wow, in two days? That's fast! VA is not messing around! This weekend follow this pattern: practice presentation (record it on your phone), the take a cluster exam and go over all the answers and terms you didn't know, then go back (hopefully at least 2 hours later) to the recording of your presentation. LISTEN to it first. Pay attention to what you like and don't like about how you sound. Some of those are fixable in short order. Then, watch your video with the sound very low. Pay attention to the actions you like and don't like about how you present. Minimize what you don't like and highlight what you do like. In the last two days, make an effort to PERFECT what you can. This should give you an edge.
Just got my scores back at got bronze out of about 50. So I’m of 4 in all of my 60 going to states and I’m really exited. Thanks for the tips. The other kid at my school got 4th and she was practicing ever say for like 2 weeks before me. I’m also happy that I can get an A on any of my marketing assignments besides big projects if I study/practice for it. I think only like 15 to 20 out of the like 120 made it in my school too. So this is big for me. And it’s my first year too
Hi! I'm a new DECA member and decided to do principles of entrepreneurship. Do you have any helpful websites and links to study other than example pdfs of the exam online and roleplay pdfs? Thanks a lot, I would also appreciate any tips you have for me and any good ways which you know to study for this! @BowtieGOAT
The PDFs will help a lot. Since your instructional area for districts is Customer Relations, search for Customer Relations DECA PIs on Quizlet. You don't need to pay for additional resources to get through districts really. In my analysis, I've been looking at the top role play PIs for each instructional area. Here are the top ones for Customer Relations. It's not the final form I would want, but it's a start: ruclips.net/p/PLR4f3B8M1fE-LF0_d58iW8Mksye8Ib8cC

Tough to predict PEN as a new event this year. I'm still thinking through this myself.
Yo Bowtie Goat, love your content! Could you do a TDM walkthrough? Would be awesome to see your strategies in action. Keep up the great work! 🔥🐐
