My favourite of the 3! Maybe when you do another video you can dive deeper into the different species. One thing I always enjoy about your videos and reef builders articles is learning the actual names of coral species which 90% of people don’t bother to learn.
One of my favorite tanks I've had over the years was a 120g soft coral (and rose bubble tip) tank. The anemone added extra color that I liked, and it also allowed me to keep a few dwarf angels (flame, bicolor and coral beauty) that I would not trust in a LPS/SPS tank which also added color. And my plan with it was to just let that thing grow wild, no pruning to keep things happy just let everything grow together, although I did have to change my mind on that when a colt coral grew to like 8 inches wide at the base. I really think that will be a very special tank that may not be as appreciated as a stony tank that has more colors than those in the rainbow.
When I started in the hobby I was all about fancy colored designer corals. I got lost in it. In 2018 I went to the Philippines to snorkel. The natural reefs there did not look like the photoshopped pictures of designer corals. That got me thinking 🤔. In 2018 I started a new tank with a bunch of RBT nems and some softies. Now two years later I have a similar tank just like you with lots of softies and I'm never going back. It looks so natural and it's so easy to keep and they grow so quickly. And there are lovely colored softies to get. They're truly underrated.
Jake I'm absolutely loving the channel and studio. The filming is fantastic and the tanks 10/10. If you improved the sound quality to reduce the echo and occasional muffledness and added captions you would have the best produced aquarium channel on RUclips!
Really interesting. I have been watching this channel for few days. Never had salt water tank specially will live coral. Would love to get one around 50 Galen . How do I start ?
Manually at first, then keep the phosphates down, reduce light intensity, heck put a rock over it if there's no corals nearby or smother it with a pile of sand
Can you maybe write down a list of which Corals are in this Setup ? I want to get more Softcorals but they are quite hard to get cause eveyone wants high end acro´s . Also maybe make a video about trimming softies without damaging the whole apperance of the tank ? Greetings from Germany ;)
Beautiful tank rather tanks including the new arrival. More interested to know about the Dady Cube which looks huge. Just one question, what do you feed these soft corals ?
The Studio is awesome ! Can you show us what magnets you use and how you made the shelf for your Duncan ? I’d love to be able to implement that into my reef !
I'm converting my 125 gallon freshwater aquarium into a saltwater soft coral reef tank. This is my first time with saltwater aquarium hobby and I hope it will go well. What are the demands for soft corals?
Great video Jake! At 6:30 you talk about a coral that looks like Caulastrea. It was difficult to understand what you called it. Was wondering if I can get a positive ID on that. Thank you!
Great to see some appreciation for softies I think they are WAY underrated!! Would love to see you get creative with the rock work though. When you pan back the three tanks look the same-ish/rock wall look. Hey look good, just not particularly creative which I guess I expected to have my mind blown with your level of experience and critique..
Dude, LOVING that softies tank. The whole IM line you've put together is just incredible. But don't break up the duncan! That thing is amazing, after 6 years? Let it ride :)
Are you worried about having so many magnets in one system? A couple magnets is one thing, but dozens? That would make me a little nervous. Cheers! Cool systems dude
What is a true Kenya tree because I have a freaking thriving garden of pink normal nice looking Kenya lol 0 water changes in 4 years depression and low funds have me held down 😕
Wow, coming along nicely now Jake. I was just wondering, I see your all bare bottoms so far. Is that your personal preference or is there another reason? I'm unsure which I prefer, sand or no sand lol 😂
This is my favorite tank so far, I love soft corals.
Best reef you have set up IMO soft corals are so underrated. Great video brother.

I enjoy every track you put in your intros!
Thanks for sharing the IM series of tanks! I have one of those long polyp toadstools and it lacks color but I just LOVE the way it flows!

holy crap. I never would have guessed that giant was a Duncan colony.
Great update Jake studio is looking awesome
You have got some of the coolest coral that I have seen. If you get bored of any of those corals feel free to send them my way
Great video as always Jake
That long polyp leather is crazy! Never seen one before.
Lots of awesome softies in there! Softies really don't get enough attention but they are tons of gems out there.
Waiting for these videos is like waiting for clean air
I love the softies, so underrated
I love soft corals, they look better than most lps and sps
Just amazing effort!!! Great job!!!
Love the duncan 😍
I love your fish tank thanks

Thank you for the constructive feedback, I'm aware of how I can improve the audio quality and will continue to strive to make it 'perfect'
Love the Harry Reams 70s porn mustache and the South Carolina "ya'll" at the end. Made me homesick.
Nicely done
how did you mount the Duncan?
Really interesting. I have been watching this channel for few days. Never had salt water tank specially will live coral. Would love to get one around 50 Galen . How do I start ?
Inspiring me to start salt water
I need that 100 ext, well thought out tanks and with that bean animal you just can’t beat it.
I love the videos and the tanks! I have a question, any advice on getting rid of turf algae?
Manually at first, then keep the phosphates down, reduce light intensity, heck put a rock over it if there's no corals nearby or smother it with a pile of sand
Thanks 👍

Just one question, what do you feed these soft corals ?
I feed an assortment of coral foods, Reef Roids, Brightwell and sometimes frozen
The Studio is awesome ! Can you show us what magnets you use and how you made the shelf for your Duncan ? I’d love to be able to implement that into my reef !
I'll do a video just on magnets!
What magnetic frag plugs do you recommend? love the idea of mounting the Duncans on the rear of the tank. Great work!
Magnifique !!!
At 42 seconds into the vid what is that pink long tentacle coral? Torch maybe?
Wows I love this tank this tank super fantastic...

There's caulastrea in there
Yay soft coral reef !
Would be good to know how the magnetic coral holder was made @Reef Builders :)
It's a magnetic pump mount that was repurposed
Reef Builders Thank you as always ✌🏼
Amazing!
Update on the angels???
Soft corals rulez👌
Adam how can I buy a frag of the weeping willow
What brand of lighting you are using for soft coral tank Jake ...
He does say in the video. AI Hydra 52 HD
@@MrCav35 sorry , maybe i skipp te video, AI is good lighting
My favorite!
Does anyone know what coral this is at 0:43?
I would like to research it then grab one.
Long polyp sarcophyton - there are a lot of long polyp toadstools in the hobby! It's an easy leather coral! ~Remy
What’s the difference between the long polyp leather and the weeping willow? Where do they originate from?
Weeping Willow polyps 'fall over' when the flow is turned off . . . like a WW tree
Tangs are my favorite fish love to see them when they go up to your finger my convict tang does the same thing
What's your light schedule?
it varies by tank and ranges from 8 hours to 12 hours per day with only 4 to 8 hours of 'peak' intensity
Give it some time, I scape with the corals, not the rocks, especially true of soft corals which get large and tall
Dude, LOVING that softies tank. The whole IM line you've put together is just incredible. But don't break up the duncan! That thing is amazing, after 6 years? Let it ride :)
intro song: ooyy - organic bijou

I had a big Duncan colony like that but then I dosed nopox and it died sadly :(
What happened to the monti tank😪
It's growing nicely, just not part of the NEW tanks in the studio, it'll get updated again soon
Are you worried about having so many magnets in one system? A couple magnets is one thing, but dozens? That would make me a little nervous. Cheers! Cool systems dude
I keep an eye on and inspect all magnets regularly for rust/water influx
