  • Huron Peak is a Colorado 14er located in the Rocky Mountains and perfect for beginner hikers wanting to bag their first 14er! This is the PERFECT novice 14er hike and one I picked while recovering from my biceps repair, mountain climbing made to order. I was happy with the choice! The approach valley was beautiful with small Picturesque Lakes and some interesting mining ruins. The Trail was recently improved and very friendly for a 14er climb although as always, expect some loose rocky sections, especially over 13,000 ft. This must have been the year of the mushroom with lots of moisture making many varied species HUGE and prevalent! There were many people enjoying the trail, even a couple mountain bikers, and that was on a Friday. . . I made a few new friends and spent most of my hike with one, Spencer and his cute little dog Olive! Seemed like everyone was having a great time! Did I mention the views were incredible? Pleased with the dji drone footage especially. . . and got even better once we hit the summit ridge! Enjoy!

As always, great cinematography! Planning a trip to Colorado to see how many 14ers I can bag. This might fit the bill…

Ice mountain and north apostle would be more your speed. I climbed them the day before on a freestyle class 4 route. It was intense not knowing what was coming but ended up being sweet! I’ll post that video next.

A lot of excellent flying in this one. Loved the mountain bike tracking & the Google Earth intro. Great job Karl! 👍🏻

Thanks man! It was a super fun and chill hike. The sucky thing is, I am starting total flack over flying in these areas, even though legal. I am bummed about it. . .

For a little bit more interesting route, try this via Lulu Gulch. Yes it's a bit more difficult but you won't see many other people and the views are awesome.
