@LosAngelesTimes Sorry, but I don’t think this is accurate. For MT/KT comparison - The biggest nuclear explosion was the Tsar Bomb detonated by Russia at 50MT of TNT or 50,000KT of TNT -The biggest bomb used on a population was “Fat Man” dropped on Nagasaki at between 16KT - 21KT of TNT. The biggest non-nuclear explosion was in 1917 in Halifax, Canada at 2.9KT of TNT. However, are we forgetting 1944 the RAF Fauld explosion in the United Kingdom equivalent to 2KT of TNT? Or in 1944 Port Chicago Disaster equivalent to 1.9KT of TNT. That being said, Beirut comes in 6th as the biggest non-nuclear explosion at conservative estimates of between 0.8KT of TNT - 1KT of TNT. Even if we wanted to use bigger estimates of 1.5KT of TNT it would still only rank 5th biggest. I’m sorry, but there were much more powerful explosions that occurred before Beirut.
Why they didn't do any post-process like cleaning and removing those wrecks
I would like to see all of the blast footage compiled into one video
the nitrate which was stored in the warehouse & the government did nothing for 6 years?
It's not surprising really. With an environment so dysfunctional that the explosion was allowed to happen in the first place, one would not assume they would handle the aftermath effectively.
2 years ago, nothing changed there ...
