I have I sailed December 11th to December 18th it's really amazing cruise ship there's a lot to do come with an open mind to meeting new people and trying new things
We've sailed twice with MSC. Divina, in 2017 and Seaside, in 2018. This next June, we'll embark on the Seascape. I'm looking forward to a great vacation. Love MSC Cruises!
just got off the Seascape on Monday and it was superb. Food is excellent and the Buffett was incredible (there were 4100 people onboard) and it's very well organized if you understand that there are two (or three if it's full) main identical food stations. Staff was the most kind and helpful ever met in a cruise. Everyone say "hi" with a big smile. I don't understand some bad critics, I hope they are well paid by the competitors
Just came off the msc seascape yesterday. Overall a great experience. Few issues though. Biggest one was that the ship limped home after visiting caymans because of one engines failing, meaning we missed our jamica stop. Credit to msc though they are giving us a 50% refund. Also make sure to bring the basics like sun cream, conditioner because these are not sold on board. Felt a bit crowded at times especially around the buffet. Overall we enjoyed the cruise. Edit: even though we limped home we did stop again at the msc island which broke up the two day trip home.
This was my first cruise it was amazing the people were amazing I met a lot of interesting people and seen a lot of interesting and fun things you have to have an open mind when going on any Cruise be willing to have fun and enjoy yourself my only complain is that my cruise ended too fast I loved it so much that I think I may go back on it again
Honey, you are having your first cruise high. Once you try a couple of other lines, you will understand how badly this cruise was lacking. I know. I have been on 8 lines and 27 cruises, and I know I never want to go on a ship that holds 5000 plus people again, no matter the line. Why? Because of the nightmare of embarkation and disembarkation, elevators bogging down and lunch in the buffet. The muster drill also was the worst I have ever seen in 27 cruises. Now I did not to hate everything. Unlike this youtuber the food in main dining room I found good and i was disappointed in the specialties. Too much in the dining packages were not included and were an extra charge. The food was not that much better either. I say instead of getting a dining package choose ala carte. then you pay for what you want. If you want a top-grade steak, you can buy it cheaper by ala carte than at the dining package price which gives you a sur charge for the better cuts of meat not included in dining package. I would rather have a really nice meal of the best at one restaurant than go to 3 and making do because of sur charges on what I really want.
Thanks for this excellent review . Msc seascape best review by far, . Sailed on the Meraviglia and really enjoyed the ship. Looking forward to do more MSC cruises.
This was the best review I’ve seen on MSC Seascape!! I’m sailing next Christmas. This is my first MSC sailing. I’ve sailed Norwegian many many times. So I’m a little apprehensive about trying something different. But I’m going!! Thanks for your review.
I just got off this cruise ship and I can say that this review is 100% accurate. The ship itself is very nice. I like the layout of royal Caribbean’s ships more but this one was nice as well. We had the Aurea package and we could go in most areas of the ship. The food is very underwhelming and it lacks entertainment. There’s a lot of stuff to do, but it feels more like a cruise for R&R. It was mostly an international crowd with a lot of Italians and Germans so I guess the entertainment culture is very different between Europeans and Americans. I think Americans are more needy for interactive entertainment than Europeans. I feel that Europeans go mostly for relaxation.
I'm going on the Seascape next month, so I found your review trying to do some research. This will be my first non-themed cruise, and definitely my first MSC cruise. So I'm worried that I won't enjoy a regular cruise as much as my themed cruises. Thanks for the review.
I was on this ship last week. The biggest problem was they didn't have enough room to accommodate people in the buffet area. Was a nightmare no place to sit or anyplace to sit outside of the buffet area where you could bring your food. The main dining room was a lot better and the service was excellent. I wouldn't sail with them again. The food was good. Entertainment was meh. Bartenders and servers where slow to ok. Dining Room waiters were good but need more training. Room attendant was great. Ship was immaculately clean. The elevators were actually ok.
MSC Meraglivia - JANOV, MSC SEAVIEW - BARCELONA, MSC VIRTUOSA - DUBAI - that's my experience, 2/2023 - my new cruise MSC SEASCAPE MIAMI, everything was perfectly fine, my cabin only BALCONY AUREA - dinner in the second round in a restaurant, buffet at least. My place on the boat - AUREA TOP SUNDECK
I love MSC! Best Pizza, beautiful new ships and the best deals! Last new years eve we were on the Oasis of the Seas and I was a little disappointed. Food wasen't as good as expected and Cats...really?! After all the good reviews for RCL I expected a lot more in all areas. I really liked NCL, Princess and Celebrity better. But I am from Europe, maybe we just cruise different;)
Thanks for review. We have sailed twice with MSC. We love the ships (Divina & Seaside) but thought the food & entertainment was spotty or hit & miss . We think Carnival 's is better in the low cost price point. We sail a lot on Norwegian which we really like & are going on our 2nd voyage on Caribbean Princess on Jan 27 using up a big credit Princess gave us for cancelling our cruise after 9 days of a 15 day cruise . Hope its as good as Norwegian as the first was not as good. We expected a premium experience which it wasn't.
Sadly, I agree. We did Carnival Pride this summer. Carnival is my least favorite line, but we picked it because they had the best price for a British Isles cruise. It was a good $1000 less per person than HAL, Celebrity, Princess, or NCL. We decided we could bear Carnival for that much a savings. That ship was over 20 years old but in great condition. I liked that cruise better and it was not just about the ports. We had a room almost double the size and abundant storge in our room. Four people could have comfortably stayed in it with no issues with storage.
I have never sailed with MSC. My wife has but it was in Europe. Watching this video it looks like the ship was very quiet. Ship looks great but I wonder how many people were on the ship. Most lines seem to be back to pretty full and the cheap deals after the restart are over but MSC still looks relatively inexpensive. Makes me wonder how well they are selling.
I f I can add some intel here : we went on MSC Seashore in late april, and the ship was fully booked with 6000 guests on board. We never felt like there was that much people on board. Buffet was always accessible, we always found sits next to the windows, and same with the pool. We had no problem booking sits to the shows or the specialty restaurant. As it was in april, nobody went to the outdoor pool or kids area, and even with that, there wasn't too much people. We had no day at sea, so maybe in that case, the ship would feel more packed. If ever, I have a full tour of the ship on my channel (in french mostly, but also a shorter english version).
I just got out of this cruise last weekend. The experience was amazing my wife and I liked it but I can say that depends on the package, it can get pricey and the cruise was packed. They also charge you an extra 87$ dollar per person for gratuity what I’m fine with it I know they work really hard for you to have a nice experience. I like Seaside instead though.
Eat Sleep Cruise, thanks for letting us see one of the newest and biggest cruise-ships in the world. Do you have copies of the daily newsletters/activities and copies of menus from the restaurants, including the Main Dining Room? That is the kind of content that can allow people to see things in detail for themselves and to think about what they could enjoy, even if some things are mediocre. In my experience, the dining aspect is one of the key aspects of a great vacation, and especially a cruise-vacation. Food-quality, service-levels, timing/duration of meals, range of cuisines, range of dining venues, and flexibility of dining hours, are some of the metrics to compare ships within each fleet, and to compare cruise-lines of same or similar star-ranking.
Was on the ship in October this year, we had the same experience as a lot of the previous comments. Too many people, not enough organisation. The queues were awful. We nicknamed the buffet restaurant they call the market place, we called it the cattle market. The pools were like communal baths, just too many people. We were on there for two weeks, we were praying for the day we were going home. Our family that was with us have been on many cruises but, this is the worst that they have experienced. Unfortunately it was our first, and it has really put us off ever cruising again. What a waste of quite a substantial amount of money!!!!!!
Sounds like a mixed review? It would be worth it if the price is right, you don't care about entertainment, and would eat only in speciality restaurants?
Hi Everyone. My family and I sailed MSC for Xmas 2022. Once onboard be prepared for the worst elevators we have ever encountered on a cruise ship. The main dining menu need a lot of up grading, choices and variety were limited. Main theater and comedy shows need some improvement. What happen to the endless flow of soft ice cream. This is our 10th cruise experience on all the major players, so with that being said this is a one and done on MSC.
Great video. We are considering booking this. What table games in the casino did they have and what were the table limits for black jack? Thanks in advance.
They had typical games, black jack, craps, roulette, poker, etc. We didn’t closely look at minimums, but I think they were reasonable, like 15 or 25 for blackjack.
On this ship now this is my first cruise and probably my last. I fell and got hurt I waited at least forty minutes for help to arrive to help. Then the next day when I went back to the medical center they closed the door in my face and said come back at 4 pm. I’m like seriously, and how they checked up on me was to leave a card on my door. The staff has to be over worked because there is not enough. Rooms are clean, food is hit or miss on taste. The elevators are a huge joke very long wait to get one if you can fit on , not enough for the amount of people aboard. I could go on but right now I’m in to much pain maybe later. I would never recommend this cruise ship to anyone.
Terrible experience! Currently in a cruise right now and it’s over 5000 people in it, overbooked; line to get breakfast looks like you are in a war zone, bars from their private island didn’t have enough glassware to serve, people had to chase their own glasses otherwise they would have to wait someone to finish their drinks, yes!!! That ridiculous!!!! This ship has no conditioner, and when we asked to be given some the answer was a dry NO, hence we couldn’t buy bc their duty free store was closed. Gym was packed, everything packed with not enough staff, I felt bad for their staff, all overworked already, honestly if you can, stay away until MSC fix these issues, book any other cruise!!!
I agree. Our steward spent at let 12 hours a day on our floor cleaning rooms. I would see him from 7 am to 9 pm. I never saw an assistant, just him and I would see him working a long way from our room when walking to elevator. We told him to just come to our room once a day.
@@peachygal4153 I've worked on cruise ships and every employee works 12-13 hrs a day, 7 days a week (with a few months or 5-6 weeks off). 12 hrs is standard on any and every cruise ship. Including the smaller ones.
It is sad because the cruise ship is beautiful however , it seems not to be fully staffed. I went this past week and I had to deal with rude passengers. I agree with your evaluation.
Not a pool person. Now that my wife passed away don't have anyone to keep an eye on my things while in pool. MSC does not enforce their smoking policy which could lead to fires on board. Like to play table tennis. Like gelato. Someone said the pizza is good, but, Carnival and Princess both have excellent pizza. Robetron is not for me. Most of the newer shows are not enjoyable. Not a big drinker. Two glasses of wine and/or beer is all I need.
I went in December 31 was very bad I buy the deluxe drink package and 3day before arrive no more whiskey vodka and tequila I spoke in the front desk but only said sorry
Went on msc Seaview not long ago went to Rome €160 for 2 tickets every thing went wrong a day in hell. Ask for money back they said nothing do to with the ship. Never never again will we step on msc ship again
Just done 2 weeks from Miami very disappointed in rooms in staff and food it gets sad the same thing for two weeks entertainment was terrible it was like ground hog day on a ship same food same entertainment we ported at one place 3 times there own island it was only ok the first time lol the ship was beautiful but not enough staff for size and they struggled Wi-Fi cost me a fortune nearly $1000 for my family of 6 plus no supplements in paying restaurants they cost a fortune as well there’s more staff trying to sell you stuff then serving costumers rooms far to small for 4 people had to put cases outside on balcony that was miniature
Msc seascape was the worst cruise out of the 10 cruises I have done in my life, people save your money and go somewhere else. Food was horrible, staff was rude, everything was disorganized, entertainment was so so and $10 for a movie rental really? I don’t even want to tell you about the elevator system they put in place. I really hope msc gets their stuff together if they want to have a chance in North America.
I have been on most of the major cruise lines, and MSC is by far the absolute worst!! I can not emphasize that enough. Stay away and save yourself a lot of grief.
@@Eatsleepcruise1 Norwegian or Celebrity, I know if I moved up in price , there are probably better ones. Those are my favorites of my current price range.
Tv in room sucked, ports were bad, food was fair to just passable shows were worst on any of our 30 cruises. No free snacks, cheap cruise to board but picked your pockets for anything else , 10 bucks to see movie in room. Only tmc cnn ton of ads channels from ship. Shower was lousy!! Tiny!! Christmas cruise with a joke , Christmas tree was 3 story virtual chopped up. Dining rooms were not decorated at all. No Santa ??? Christmas cruise kids free ? Yeah steak diane was tuff new york strip. We will stick with celebrity and royal. Specialty dinners averaged 120.00 for two . This reviewer must get free cruises? That carnival ride was 10 bucks for 3 minutes. Did not see it used muchlol
Well, there was a lot of issues I agree, mostly to do with the h sip being too big, holding too many PAX and not enough WORKING elevators (one set near us was messed up nearly all the time) and large enough of a buffet the accommodate that many. Other things with over 5000 people, like embarkation, disembarkation, and the muster drill were nightmares. However, TV in the room was not one of them. We had the same free channels on Carnival. Now the movie rental could have been improved. We did not think $10 was a bad price if there had been recent movies. It was more we had already seen everything they offered that we cared to see. It was not first run movies or even movies that came out in the last 6 months.

Were you on this particular ship?
@@peachygal4153 I've worked on cruise ships and every employee works 12-13 hrs a day, 7 days a week (with a few months or 5-6 weeks off). 12 hrs is standard on any and every cruise ship. Including the smaller ones.
What cruise boat name were you on MSC ?
It is sad because the cruise ship is beautiful however , it seems not to be fully staffed. I went this past week and I had to deal with rude passengers. I agree with your evaluation.
can anyone answer if a passport is required?
Not a pool person. Now that my wife passed away don't have anyone to keep an eye on my things while in pool. MSC does not enforce their smoking policy which could lead to fires on board. Like to play table tennis. Like gelato. Someone said the pizza is good, but, Carnival and Princess both have excellent pizza. Robetron is not for me. Most of the newer shows are not enjoyable. Not a big drinker. Two glasses of wine and/or beer is all I need.
I'm boarding in Miami on May 14, Caribbean cruise
❤ MSC
What other MSC ships have you cruised?
isn’t this seashore not seascape
This is a bad ship. The buffet way to crowded with limited options. The elevator situation is abyssal.
Que islas visitan
What I dislike of the ship is that basically is the same Seashore with a different name
That’s exactly what it is
I went in December 31 was very bad I buy the deluxe drink package and 3day before arrive no more whiskey vodka and tequila I spoke in the front desk but only said sorry
Went on msc Seaview not long ago went to Rome €160 for 2 tickets every thing went wrong a day in hell. Ask for money back they said nothing do to with the ship. Never never again will we step on msc ship again
8:53 weak sauce
I really hope msc gets their stuff together if they want to have a chance in North America.
you definitely didn't cruise on that ship, it's obvious.
I loved MSC. Your particular cruise was terrible from what you wrote. Norwegian was the only cruise I wasn’t fond of.
🧢🧢🧢
Para mi el servicio de la entrada del restaurante es pésimo y no muy profesional el sistema de elevadores catastrófico el restaurante The Green
“The wife” - 👎; Review was helpful - 👍

Too expensive for travel.
Singers were HORRIBLE but dancers were great. The last night NO SHOW AT ALL !!!
I have been on most of the major cruise lines, and MSC is by far the absolute worst!! I can not emphasize that enough. Stay away and save yourself a lot of grief.
What is your favorite cruise line?
@@Eatsleepcruise1 Norwegian or Celebrity, I know if I moved up in price , there are probably better ones. Those are my favorites of my current price range.
What about your favorite overall?
@Eatsleepcruise1 overall, the best value is Norwegian
Lol. The ship design is attractive but sounds like a pass for me. The nickel and diming would be enough to drive me overboard.
@@ElleiDan They do offer a few more things include in you book Aurea. but if you really do not want nickel and diming you have to book Yacht club which is at least 5 times the price of Fantasica.
@@peachygal4153 Their Yacht Club seems to be very reasonable (in terms of cost) compared to similar offerings on other contemporary lines but I have also heard mixed reviews of Yacht Club too.
@@ElleiDan EVERY cruise line nickel and dimes... if you want to avoid that, buy the drinks, wi-fi and all other packages available for 100's more LOL...
bad food too many people , buffet long lines ,never waste your Maney live music is inexistent
