I'm on my RAI isolation now because of the thyroid cancer, after surgery and while watching your video i felt your feelings, Inshallah god will keep us healthy and safe, and cancer won't return to us anymore in any form🤲🏻 i feel less lonely and more hopeful, after watching another person who has gone through all these, just like me
🙏
Thanks so much for your comment. It means a whole lot knowing that this video made you feel a little less lonely. All the best on your recovery.
Hope you are all good now. Now it's my turn bro. It starts from next Monday
Sending positive energy your way@@sidharthkaruvarath2532 , and just know, time heals all.
hi...I had my radioactive iodine tx 5 days ago. I received 150. I'm on my last day of isolation. they actually sent me home to isolate as long as I had my own personal bathroom. I only had dry mouth as a side effect.
One of the most genuine, humble, uplifting human beings 🙏🏻💯🕺
Eyyy, thanks so much JH! I appreciate you too brother.
I love you for taking us on this journey with you. I’m having my RAi therapy on 10/30 and feeling so sad
All the best on your own journey.
Thanks for posting your experience. My hubby just had his RAI on Tuesday, isolating at home until Sunday. All the best of luck to you, so happy you got such great news at the end! Great attitude and positive vibe! 😊
Thanks so much for reaching out and all the best with your husband's recovery.
Sweet brah
Thanks for allowing us into this very personal scary world
I love a happy ending
Sending love and catch up soon
Caroline and David
Thanks D. I'm glad it could give some clarity. Big love.
This is awesome man. Perfect narration, music, editing. And mega stoked the treatment worked
Thanks so much for the words of encouragement brother Si. It's much appreciated, and ye, I'm alive! Big love.
I was looking up information because my cat is about to go through this. Somehow I ended up here, watching a very nice person, share a very personal experience. Thank you for sharing this. I hope all is well with you today.
Thanks so much for watching.
Hi Marcel. I just came across this video of yours - I was unaware of your situation the last time I saw you in November!! I went through the same journey in 2016 and it was interesting to see your documentation thereof and the memories of that experience came flooding back. Must say it was definitely not the most pleasant of times but I’m pleased to say apart from a few scares in between I remain a survivor. I send you many blessings and wish the same for you ❤
Thanks for your message Anneliese, and I'm glad to hear you've made it out of the worst part. All the best with your recovery. 🖤
Thanks for making this vlog, man. I'm in the process of deciding whether to accept RAI this year or delay it further. I have recurring thyrotoxicosis, very well managed by medication, and two young children, one who is severely disabled, so choosing to become radioactive and having to isolate from them isn't easy. But it's amazing to see someone's experience of the RAI and how it affects. All aspects in choosing my course of action.
Thanks for your message. I sympathize with your situation, but would still recommend the treatment as it'll be few days sacrifice for a lifetime with your kids. All the best,
You're a legend man. So glad that they reckon it's all gone, that sonar scan thing looked soooo crazy haha so glad you recorded it! Must've been a very weird sensation having everyone scared to come near you for a little while :')
Yo Will! Thanks, I hoped it would shed some light on some dark places, and yeah, it was definitely weird for while. Also glad to see your treatment went well. Big love.
Love you brother 🙌 Great video!!
En U, danki J 👊👊
Thank you for sharing… I’m about to do the radioactive Iodine after completing surgery back in December.
All the best for your treatment, I'm sure it'll be a success.
thank you for sharing your journey Marcel. this helps lots of people out there including myself. is there anywhere we could chat so I could ask you some questions?
I'm so glad to hear you could get something out of my story. I hope the video shines a light on some of the dark parts of the process.
Got RAI on Thursday isolating at home . Thanks encouraging.
Dankie vir die deel Marcel. dis goed om jou te sien. Alle sterkte met alles vorentoe.
Daai fokken geiger counter oomblik was nogal nuts. Thinking of you

Eyy, baie dankie T! Ek waardeer die support en mooi woorde. Net liefde vir jou ook.
What's dose of your RAI?
You good
Hi Marcel, I have to ask, how are you feeling at the moment?
I have recently been diagnosed and I’m meeting my surgeon tomorrow to get my CT results and make a plan of attack.
I just wanted to thank you for sharing your story as it has really settled some nerves in me. I understand it’s a rocky road but know, the sharing of your story has helped it feel a little less rocky.
I appreciate you,
Thanks
I'm feeling just great, especially now that I hear this video made this uncomfortable treatment a little more bearable. Thanks for the positive feedback Jordan.
thanks for sharing this Marcel. how are you doing now after 8 months?
It's only a pleasure, and I'm still feeling great after all this time...thanks for watching.
God please Bless this Brother with a full LASTING recovery immediately in Jesus Name 🙏🏼😔❤️🖖🏼🇺🇸
Thanks for the words of encouragement brother. Much love..
Are u cancer free now ?
thanks for posting. can i ask why you delayed RAI for a year?
I was misdiagnosed at first, but once I knew what was wrong I went for treatment. Thanks for checking in.
I am going to take my RAI therapy ...doc said i have to isolate 3 days in hosp and 7 days at home ...i am afraid of the isolation at hospital and also can u explain the scan ..how long it takes
Nothing to be scared of, it's just a little boring, so take some things with to read / do. The scans can take anything from 10 minutes to 40 minutes every few months. All the best
@@thefakemarcel thank u for spreading positivity
Thank you for your vidio
It's only a great pleasure.
Are you literally required to lock yourself in an isolated area? Are you allowed to be in one room while the other housemates pass common areas just so long you stay 6 feet apart? Other than bathrooms can you share common areas like laundry room?
It is recommended to isolate in a decontaminated space because radioactivity can be transferred through touch, so you could isolate in your room, if you're just careful of everything you touch. All the best on your treatment.
How many days should ome osolate after RAI?
Can you please tell me the cost of Rai treatment out of pocket
Hey there. This would vary, but it's basically the price of a small car.
Well done dude, you beat it 🫵🏼 and F⛤ck Cancer!
Dankie P. Hell yeah~!
May I know the amount of your dose?
2 Thyrogen injections and 100 mCi Iodine I believe.
Did your calcium drop after surgery... My calcium dropped after thyroid surgery..... Please reply me sir...
My mother had it. Did you have total thyroid removal or only half? Her calcium dropped and it took 2 months to heal and sustain. She eats calcium tablet and takes injection everyday.
Can you tell did you take only one dose? Either doctor told you to take an other dose or not????? Plz tell.
Hey Veerpal. I did take another dose after this, but it was a much smaller dose without isolation. I am now going for another Thyrogen injection almost a year after this treatment for a checkup. Goodluck over there.
Hi what type of thyroid cancer is it papillary papillary or follicular thyroid cancer?
Hey there! It was Papillary Thyroid Cancer, which was slightly easier to treat than Follicular. All the best for your journey.
@@thefakemarcel needs more vedios if you can regarding this it will help others also
How r u now?
I'm all good for now, thanks.
JY IS MY ALLES!!!!!!!!!
Thanks boetie.
