YEP! Brands that constantly have sales are almost always fast fashion. They try and make you think you're getting a good deal to persuade you to buy their cheap shit made by factory workers in third world countries.
As someone who sews lingerie as a hobby, I can tell you for sure that the material is shit and it is fast fashion for sure. Like it screams that the lace is cheap.

1st outfit "Sexy Lime" at 8:30 cost 200,80€
2nd outfit "Smexy Christmas" at 11:40 cost 154,85€
3rd outfit "Tata Freedom" at 13:31 cost 184,85€
4th outfit "Average Sexy" at 16:19 cost 125,95€ (as she said)
5th outfit "The Shirin David" at 18:25 cost 267,85€ (+plus whatever the mask cost)
So the total is 934,30€ (+the price of the mask) which is expensive and too much for something we don't know the ethics of.

Savagexfenty is way worse. Because they’re insanely overpriced, most of their selection is tacky as hell, and you can tell it’s cheaply made from a mile away.

To be fair, it would take some workshopping ( maybe 2 weeks of fidgeting around) to get those ribbons to sit right on your leg, and they need to be elastic.

At least Skims is comfortable and there's no membership weirdness but I'm very shocked at the poor quality of these products and the fact that nearly nobody is holding Rihanna accountable
You are able to skip the membership every month or cancel and buying it. I signed up for it. You just have to remember to skip or cancel bybthe 5th of the month. I just set a reminder.
I feel if you’re paying those prices, and your first thoughts are “hmmm, I don’t know” then it’s a big miss. Any time I’ve never been sure on something and bought it, I end up never wearing it again.

I think Savage is not a part of LVMH like her beaut brand Fenty. This may also explain why the branding scheme and quality differ a lot. Even if luxe brand are not always as qualitative as we think. But still....

They hate on Beyonce and IVY Park all the time and say that Beyonces clothes are ugly, cheaply made and no one besides influencers and celebrities wear them, which sure it’s true, and they say that’s why Ivy Park went under. In the same breadth they praise Rihanna despite having a line of clothing that’s equally crappy. With lingerie you don’t see people wearing it so you can’t use proof that it’s not worn by the GP the way you can show that with athleisure, but the only reason why savage fenty is praised so much is because people like Rihanna’s image better and because of her scamming suscription service. I don’t know anyone who buys savage fenty and actually has praised it. It’s cheaply made and bad quality and to me it looks bad too, people only praise it because it’s Rihanna.
For a brand that advertises underwear for different body types by being inclusive I‘d also expect more diverse sizing. You can‘t really find smaller underbust sizes like a 30/65 or even smaller. It‘s literally so hard to find brands that produces those

It's especially ridiculous because 28/30 bands are INSANELY common, but most of those people are wearing ill-fitting 32/34 bands because companies like this perpetuate the +4 method to be able to stock a much narrower size range.

Three of my favorite bras come from Savage x Fenty, and I bought them by recommendation of a friend. I've have one absolute flop of a bra from them, that I need to exchange. But the rest have been pretty good to pretty great.
I’m just saying I buy bras from savage and it really is all about the cut that is best for you. Also you need to truly know your size for them to come fitting. If you notice you have an issue with the way the bra is then you should probably look into changing the cut of bra you are buying. I realized that I don’t like balconett bras but I like unlined bras. I also find deals on there all the time. I’m not even a vip member. I know everyone has different opinions but and sometimes things are not for everyone.

From a corsetmaker: the "corset" you bought is technically a bustier because it has bra cups with underwires. The reason it doesn't look good is because it's too long in the waist for you, and it's cut in more of a flared tube shape than an hourglass, so it smooths out any waist definition you naturally have instead of enhancing it. It's an extremely common problem with mass-manufactured "corsets."
This shape puts unnecessary pressure on the wearer's ribcage and hips, making it much less comfortable than a more historically shaped corset, which would have been cut with a smaller waist and a larger, curvier hip. A properly fitting corset should be snug around the waist, and skim over the hips. You should be able to fit your hand under the top and bottom edges of it.

As much as I agree, something cannot be sustainable with fair wages for the staff whilst also being affordable because that varies. But I do think something like lingerie is justified in being expensive because it is a luxury. If it is ticking all the other boxes that is.
@@tigrah Yes!! There's a fine line between having affordable prices and ethical manufacturing. Unfortunately I only can afford fast fashion clothes (they're still quite pricey). Besides, most countries don't usually have sustainable fashion brands in their malls. Even if they do, its very expensive.
I personally feel like the most ethical consumption you can do is to not waste your clothes and make the most of it.

If they were transparent about supply chain and had more attention to detail, sure that would be more reasonable. I sew, and it looks like the fabrics are just cheap synthetics. When I've bought stuff that was similar to that price (not quite that high), it was cotton, and they were open about paying their employees proper wages they could live off of and use to support a family. I don't know anything about how that was made, but usually if people don't tell you how it was made, they either don't know, or are trying to hide stuff.

I have a few pieces and I personally like them, but yes, they're all made in Bangladesh. And if you know where they're placed on the list for workers' rights and safety, it was likely in an unsafe sweatshop. Probably by workers not getting paid a fraction of what I paid for the items... I won't be throwing them away because I resent waste especially when items are made in poor conditions, because I want to appreciate the item as much as I can for those who had to suffer through the conditions in the place they're made. Def won't be buying again, though. Even PINK is better than this. At least they'll back charities and have a more solid brand image. Not to mention, I think their representation has gotten better these days with their custom mannequins in my local store.

I always ordered as a "new VIP" which gives the best price and then cancelled the new membership before the 5th so I never had to pay those 50€ lol. Did it multiple times with different emails and always loved the pieces I got. But it is fishy, I aggree. Feels like they're trying to play their customers but u can play them too

the second set is 100% fast fashion quality fabric. it looks like a thin and scratchy acrylic-cotton mix (maybe even just acrylic). i can usually only afford to buy fast fashion clothing so im too familiar with this kind of fabric. the fact that the shirt alone was 63€ and you can literally see the threads unraveling at the bottom because of the piss poor quality is crazy.

Personally i think Rihanna's fans are being scammed out of their hard earned money for cheap rubbish, while Rihanna laughs all the way to the richest pop star title (she is richest because of the clothing brand), i would never buy any of that stuff. There was an outrage when Kylie sold her swimsuits for similar prices and similarly bad quality. I think people are afraid to criticize savage x Fenty because Rihanna is one of the most unproblematic trustworthy celebrities. And she is taking full advantage of that with this brand. It’s a joke and I’m glad people are catching up. Production prices are probably around $2 to $5 dollars a piece so they already make profit with the huge discounts. The actual prices are nothing but a marketing strategy to make the „real prices“ seem like discounted prices. Very disappointed in Rihanna for being associated with this shit.

I bought some stuff off there without googling anything, dumb I know. The only thing worth it was the initial deal you get with the membership. I cancelled after that. I unfortunately waited too long to return some items but they were decent other than one or two pieces. With that being said I don’t think it’s worth it and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
@@marianag3993 I think it’s kinda shady that they made it so that whenever you buy a product from the website, they sneak in a “vip” membership even though you weren’t asking for it. Like a lot of people can easily miss that which is why I think it’s so sketch. Also the fact that they make it so difficult for someone to cancel their membership…like you can’t just go to the website you have to call in to do that, just doesn’t sit right to me.
And in a lot of the reviews, the women were given the products or paid to review!!!

As someone who's been a vip membership for like 2 years, the quality keeps going down while prices keep getting higher....also for a brand that markets themselves as super diverse getting big chested things and plus sized things is getting super difficult. And the sizing is all over sometimes I'm a 1x sometimes I'm the biggest size they carry a 3x....and I'm really not that big they run super small to alot of the times. They make the most money off the membership where they say they give u credits but you can get gip deals if u use your vip credits so the price you would usually pay as a vip goes away when u use ur credits and u have to pay the full regular price....it's ridiculous!!!!
They kept charging me for 6 months, I don't know how many people I spoke to on the phone to get refunded 🤦♀️
I have been a member since January 2019 and although I do have nothing but good things to say about this brand I do have to agree. I bought two bras in June and one my boobs fall out of all day and the other was a size XL and was WAY too small. I had to exchange it but I'm a size xl so idk what was up with that. Actually, I've been wondering. Is there a set period of time you have to get the membership before being able to cancel? Because normally you should be able to unsubscribe from a membership anytime but I don't know if that's the case here. Because if so, then I suppose Naomi could've purchased the membership once, made the "haul" and then a few days later cancel the membership....
Yall know that if you go on your account in the app you can 'skip' the month and they don't charge anything to your account.

They refused to give me a refund and would only let me have credit which was frustrating considering they made the mistake. The fact that they automatically charge you $50 w/o any reminder alerts is just not ideal. If you have a busy life theres a good chance you are going to forget to skip. My experience was from the beginning of the year so hopefully they have made some changes.

As someone who looks at and fits bras/boobs for a living, this company is garbage. None of their bras fit their models! If they actually wanted to include everyone, they'd take a look at the size range that most UK brands carry. The store I work for carries brands like Freya, Elomi, Fantasie, Curvy Kate, and Panache. Bands start at 28 and go to at least 48, and have cups A through K in UK sizing (up to cup O in US sizing). The middle cup size? The median? An F cup. Companies NEED to stop thinking and advertising a D as huge. It's just leading to so many uncomfortable, poor fits. 😩
I'm glad they want to include different body shapes and skin tones in their marketing, but with the scammy subscription, overpriced products, poor fit, and limited size range, it just appears like a money grab. 😔

Bought a "t-shirt" bra that had the cups cut way too short and did not consider the fact that larger cup sizes NEED that extra length.
Now binders in my size just don't exist and are a whole different issue. No company ever considered people having a thin rib cage when making binders so what happens is it is almost impossible to get on and off but once it is on they have almost NO compression at all

I gotta say as well, as someone who signed up to the vip membership they make it really difficult to leave. you either have to call a number which apparently doesn't work in the UK (or its just my phone) or go through an AI message chat which just tries to convince you to stay the entire time. they make it sound really good that you can skip the month but it's just a trick in hopes that you'll forget to skip in the tiny 5 day window they give you and take your money. I've also had to contact them twice because I've skipped the month and they've still tried taking the money. the products I did get are ok but mediocre at best. the colours fade super quickly and the cute little hardware x's etc fall off by the third wash. barely worth the "discount" let alone the full price

You think you are getting a deal but really you're just buying something you don't need every month because the money is coming out of your pocket anyway and the trend cycle is short. They artificially inflate the prices to make it seem like it is a deal, like Bianca said, to make the subscription look like a great value

I want to love Savage X Fenty but they don’t make bras for people with a small back/large cup size combo, so they’re actually not particularly inclusive. Definitely more than other brands, but they still exclude people. Also they price people out of their products with the membership and pricing.
"More than other brands" is kinda the whole point, no? No brand is going to cover every possible band/cup size combo, it's just not economical. But covering at least a majority of the spectrum is nice, a lot of brands don't even go above a C or D (looking at you Aerie and VS).
Also hard agree on the membership and pricing. The whole membership thing seems super dishonest and the pricing without it is ridiculous, especially given that it doesn't even seem to be of particularly good quality. What a racket!

I’ve tried quite a few bras from Fenty. Mainly because of their “extended sizes” I am a 36E so buying bras isn’t easy. Well Fenty is terrible!! None of the bras were comfortable and the sizing was different for every style. Sometimes the same style but different color and they still didn’t fit the same! It’s a NO from me!!
As 40F I also have trouble finding a good fit. But definitely have found inconsistency in the sizing and returned multiple things. Like a couple bralettes though.

I have bought a lot of stuff on savage x fenty with a membership and let me tell you about their loophole: get the membership and cancel paying the 50,- between every 1st and 5th of the month. (I have a monthly reminder that I need to skip). The loophole, however, the perks of sales and cheap prices stays! Just because you skipped and don't want to pay 50,- doesn't take away the exclusive prices or access to pre-sale etc. Works all the time. It's in their guidelines. Trust me. I've bought for 500,- on products, only paid 200,- in total, and never paid for the membership

So I did that, didn't pay for anything, and I received all invitations to pre-sale, received the discount code for 'Vip-memberships only' etc. It got clear after that.... And it's been a year of doing it like this without fail:)
