Good SONday afternoon, Ms Talli Faye! I soaked my blackberries over night in the ice box, and put everything together this morning and baked it while we got ready for church. We ate it after our noon meal and boy was it good! I want you and everybody to know how simple but simply delicious this is! This is also a great church potluck dish. I'll double the recipe and bake it up in one of those throw away pans. It should be a hit knowing my church family. 😅
I know that’s a simple “cobbler”, but I sure do love that stuff. My grandmother would make it with dewberries, I’ve done it with peaches, and I’ve also done it with cherries. It’s something I don’t even mind fixing, and I’m not really big on cooking. Thanks for sharing!
Yum! Out here in Oregon we have no berries yet. That won't be until August. I canned some Mulberry jam today. It's Mulberry season here. My first time trying that. What a nightmare. lol! My hands will be purple all week. Had to pull stems out of each berry. I'll never try that again. Next time I'll just make jelly with the juice. Live and learn. I didn't have very many so I mixed a can of boysenberries and a can of gooseberries with it. The jam turned out great. I'll definitely try this recipe. I love blackberries. I have raspberries growing too. Yesterday the grandkids let the goats out and they were going to town on my raspberries. I caught them just in time! Never a dull moment. Ha!
I’m Canadian and I love Southern food ❤ I am also diabetic 😢 so it’s easy to add 🛎️ the natural berries maybe I can add the diabetic sugars or syrup to it 😊!! A bit lesser on the syrup because berries are naturally sweet
My husband was from North Zulch. When someone would ask him where is was he'd say between Iola and Curtain. 😂 His mama was a great cook. I'm really enjoying your channel. ❤
Hi Talli Faye 👋 this is another video I didn't get notifications on. YT is a booger sometimes. So what I did was unsub and resub and reset my settings. Hopefully that works. I've made this "cobbler" before and it's good, but I used canned pie filling. Yours looks so much better with the fresh fruits. Do you have a good recipe for Peach Crisp? That's something I've just never found a good recipe for. I'm waiting the crisp topping that use to be on school apple crisp, but every one I've tried just hasn't been the same. Oh my goodness… CHERRIES 🍒!!… Buzz would do the laundry 🧺 for a week if I found me some fresh cherries and did this!

My mother called that a cobbler. She learned the recipe in home ec class in the '50s--when she was a teenager! But she used SF flour.

I melt my butter in microwave and use self rising flour, been using this way for years, u can use any kind of fruit…..peaches are best……A Ga fan…..
