Cinnamon Pecan Bun Cake

- Made from scratch delicious and warm with cinnamon, sugar, nuts and glazed on top
In large bowl mix..
3c- Flour
1 & 1/2c- whole milk
1c- sugar
2- eggs
2t-Vanilla
4t- Baking Powder
1/2t- salt
Stir in…
1/2c- melted butter
Pour into greased 9x13 pan and set aside…
In Medium bowl mix…
1c- Softened Butter
1c- Brown Sugar
2T- Flour
1T- Cinnamon
Beat til creamy… Spoon in random spots on top of batter in pan..
Do not stir…
Sprinkle…
1/2c- chopped nuts on top
With butter knife run through batter just to create swirls
Bake in preheated oven
350 for 35-40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean..
Allow to cool while making glaze…
In small bowl stir together…
2c- powdered sugar
5T- evaporated milk
1t- vanilla…
While cake is still warm pour/spread glaze evenly over cake…
Allow to set and let glaze melt down into cake…
Delicious served warm 😊

Wonderful! Even though I live Hawaii and I am an Australian I can tell what a wonderful home cook you are. My best friend of 40+ years is a Southern gal so I am going to make this cake for when we get together for coffee next week - I think it better be a half recipe ! Hi. I’m 71 and live in Dallas. Born and Raised right here. Grew up with Garden fresh food on our land and my mama cooked everything from scratch and taught me the same way. I do shortcuts every now and then, but I love homemade cook foods and desserts. This cake looks unbelievably delicious and I am going to make it. The first video I saw was your French onion pork chop dinner but I don’t like sour cream and I don’t care for ranch dressing either one. I would still do the pork chops with all the vegetables like that but I would take some beef consommé and throw some fresh onions all over that and stick it in the oven and then it’s the last 10 minutes pull it out and top it off with some Swiss cheese. I think that would suit me better.. I love this recipe you had this was the second one I saw. You hooked me right there. So I will subscribe and I’m gonna sit down and binge watch all the rest of your videos. I just love your personality you explain everything in detail and you sound like an old Texas gal just like me. Thank you so much and I look forward to watching your videos and learning more.
Yum! 🤗 I am a 70 year old home baker, a Southern Texas cook, and I have evaporated milk on my list so I can make this tomorrow. My hubby does not eat nuts, so I think I might try adding a few raisins on top, just like on top of our favorite cinnamon rolls. Hope it turns out okay !❤ Thank goodness, my hubby eats anything, even my first time recipe "test failures". ❤👵❤

This cake is so pretty. No worries about the milk thing. My Granny always used what she had in the pantry, and sometimes used evaporated milk in place of whole milk. Use what you have, right?

This cinnamon bun cake looks so delicious and easy to make. Don’t worry too much about the mix-up on the milk. . . we all have little goofs from time to time. Can’t wait to try this. By the way, if you have any recipes for making a baked product in a microwave, please share it with us. At the moment I don’t have an oven, just a microwave. Thanks for sharing. P.S. If you add a drop or two of rum to that glaze, I bet it will add a bit of zing to it!

I could only make 1/2 a cake b/c I’m low on ingredients, I had to make evaporated milk, whole milk and powdered sugar, this is why I keep powdered milk in my cupboard, during the pandemic I even learned how to make powdered sugar, thank you & wow❤
