It's been thousand of years yet God need to couch His promises in the future tense, as if He's not quite sure He will perform. And nobody mentions the fact that their needs will be met years after they die?
Slavery in the Bible is always condemned by the writers and shown as bad, and slavery in those times were very different to the slavery we think of when we hear it nowadays. It was almost like a servant tending to their masters business. Still bad, but Jesus provides forgiveness for all of us! God knows slavery is bad and slavery in the Bible is very different and watered down compared to modern slavery.

Two of these are in the Law of Moses: God permitted the Israelites to take slaves from conquered peoples permanently, and the Israelites could sell themselves into slayvery temporarily to pay off debts (Exod 21:2-11; Lev 25:44-46). The other five passages are in the New Testament, where slayvery as a social institution is endorsed and slayves are called to obey their masters “in everything” (Eph 6:5-9; Col 3:22-4:1; 1 Tim 6:1-2; Tit 2:9-10; 1 Pet 2:18-20).
God allowed Israel to have slaves from the wicked nations before them, but it wasn’t the same slavery that for example African Americans had to endure years ago, ancient Israel’s slavery was less harsh and more servant like. This is backed up by the fact that Israelites could literally sell themselves into slavery to pay off a debt (and would be allowed to leave), it was like taking a servant job under a master. God punished those wicked nations by making them slaves (more like servants!) to His anointed people, but also punished his people by making them slaves when they rebelled and did evil in His Law.
