first time I went out in my new to me 692A was with Tim Cooper in the PNW. The shift leaver on the transmission broke at the base and I was stuck in 2nd gear low range for the entire day. Best education for driving I have ever received. Tim managed to get the transmission into 4th gear so I was able to drive it back to his shop for a quick weld job. Started out in 4th, 4lo double clutch and go into 4th, 2hi and away you go.
That's my rig. Deestone D503 7.50x16 made in Thailand out of real rubber, easy to get in USA. Same tire sold as Power King brand. These are a licence built copy of Goodyear from the 1960-1977 period, this exact Goodyear tire was factory on thousands of Land Rovers in that period. Now, we all know how well the NDT's work, but I'm quite impressed with these Deestones in real off road use on the Rubicon and these Utah trails. I can't cave in and run NDT's just yet, even though they also were a factory option !!!
@@timmcooper294Hi there, love the Landy, I am in the UK and currently rebuilding a series three. I just wondered if you had a You Tube channel or other online content about the build of Penalty Box? Many Thanks Ian
Great to see a 3B having a go even if it wasn't for long. Thanks Stan.
