I was part of a small crew that volunteered to push the drum platform out on the field....about half way out there the pyrotechnics guys said..."watch that...that' s the most dangerous part (pointing to a box with tubes)...." I had my face right near the part where the flames shot out!! Egads!! (Alfred E Neuman said "What? me worry")
And going through comments here I find the classic KISS cyber bullies lol KISS was one of the darkest scary bands in rock history...surely nowadays they might look silly :} My dad said he was scared of KISS back on the 70s and thats why he never really got into them....until I became a KISS fan ._. Now he sings their songs and shows a little more respect to them..he always used and still says(not as much) they sucked....and he had never really listened to them..and now that he has is cool
Weird that the announcer named the members of KISS as Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Ace Frehely and Peter Criss I know it's a tribute to KISS but I thought that KISS was Gene, Paul, Tommy and Eric?
The funny thing is, I'll bet 95% of the people in that stadium either think Peter and Ace are still in the band or they couldn't care less about KISS at all.
In 1973-1977 they were one of the darker acts in Rock'n'Roll, and were a heavy metal group, with heavy songs such as Black Diamond, Strange Ways, Cold gin, Nothin to Lose, Shock me, Love gun,and god of thunder. Quite the heavy band, later in the 80s heavier bands would emerge through the sub genres of metal, but KISS was and always will be a heavy metal band

I would imagine it was because A) They're the originals and most recognized names, and B) They're the only members inducted into the HoF.
