For precious metal investors, it is better to buy gold if you get concerned over price volatility. Silver is a small market and it is highly manipulated.
I've heard of private people owning silver mines in my own life, never ever heard or seen of one with a gold mine. So if silver comes online in a big way, people will crack open their mines.
I do get a little tired of the silver pumpers to be honest. Especially when we go from $32 to $26/ oz

Do not buy from costco. When prices go down costco will pull all displayed gold silver from their local show cases and the order forms. Also on line products will be unobtainable. Local PM dealers will be there for you.

Depletion really depends on the compounding demand due to solar farms sprawling and military demand to feed the Iron Dome missile defense system, Ukraine and so on. The 250lb silver oxide battery in Tomahawks alone use 300 oz and 500 overall per missile. Patriots about the same amount. And you can bet it's similar with others missiles. Don't know if Peter also considers the slow down on some of Mexico's mines and some others in south America. Plus, it's been determined that the Silver Institute has been under reporting on demand side. The slush can go at anytime. I don't think anyone really knows how much is left. Some well informed silver market analysts thought it will be exhausted already.

1-2 years is conservative & generous. The Comex has been under stress for a time already. Consider over demand by approximately 200-400 million oz. That's how much they're having to take from the slush silver. This happening for the past 5+ years with demand compounding, not slowing. Only thing's been slowing are mine output in Mexico and few in south America. More honest reporting say above ground silver is near 1 to 1 with gold at about 2.5 B oz. This is probably why the Shill Jeffrey Christian said they had about 3B oz on stand by in Comex. He's lying.
