When my grandparents passed, us relatives sold their home to a young couple in their early 20s. They are now running a farm with animals and crops (my grandparents only used it as their second home as their place to relax away from the city). I heard the young couple whispering about a bunch of fanstastic plans and they sounded so excited, but was about to leave due to seeing a bunch of older people in their 40-50s who wanted to use the real estate as their summer stay and basically not be there for the rest of the year. I told my parents and my aunt and we all decided that the best thing would be to sell for less to the young couple and basically do some good for the community (all year customers to the different stores, their future kids in the local school, plus granting the wish our loved ones dreamed of- for the place to be used and come alive again and taken well care of as they had done in their youth). Many years later, the young couple are still there and they have a few kids and the place looks fantastic. Young people are needed in the countryside and if it can be enouraged that’s a positive. I’m still at uni. (studying law), but dream of living in the country when I’m older. / Scandinavian
I watched the video of your wedding today. My wife of 54 years pasted away a few weeks ago. She was my partner, my helper and my biggest supporter. We farmed together and then worked in agriculture for over 50 plus years. I hope and pray you will be as happy and as blessed as I was. May God bless you and keep you. Enjoy your videos.
Great episode. So refreshing to see a young couple working the land. Agribusiness is the heart of America. Independent farmers are the backbone of America. Keep unfriendly countries out, limit or eliminate breaks to monolithic corporations, and allow these young entrepreneurs room to thrive, so they can continue to pass it on to the next generation.
You and Grant are such a great team. Watching both of you the last few years have let me learn a little more about the immense job it is to run and maintain a farm. Thanks to both of you!
I'm not a farmer nor will I ever be one but I have learned so much by watching you and Grant fix equipment and going through the planting and harvesting seasons that I feel like I could play one on TV now! Your channel's awesome, thanks for putting up the videos!
I'm not into farming, I just like you guys. But I am a machinist and it is great to see people that keep our country going with good work ethics and care about what they do.
I grew up on a farm in Pennsylvania. Laura and Grant are great together. God bless you for all you do. Farmers are the backbone to the American economy❤️
Laura isn't afraid to get her hands dirty with almost any job. I love how you two work together so darn well. Your fathers must be beaming with pride, I certainly would be except when it came to lifting that tire - that's a two-person job. Grant maybe could do it but at what price to his back, save the back, you'll be happy later in life for darn sure.
You Two are a great Couple working together!! And yes you Have to ask for help once in a while!! So you don't hurt yourself!! Thank You for the video!! Keep Smiling On!! 😅👍👊❤
You two are really fun to watch. Gotta give props to Laura on the physical labor end of things. Oh, Laura had to check the cool pretty red nails at the end to make sure they were intact! That was cute!
OMG kid , my wife is 70 and like you she thought she could lift a ton . Today she battles the pain of all that work she did . She is very limited as to what she can do . We are retired now but our plans to travel and enjoy retirement are severely diminished due to her back pain . She never gives up but she fights the pain everyday . I am giving you a 45 year preview into your future , work smart , don't hurt yourself .
Laura, a big help when loading tires is to roll your tire upon a 6x6 block with tapered ends. You will be amazed at the help. Save that back. Great video.
Valuable Safety Recommendation - For that "widowmaker" Hi-Lift jack, I suggest that you bend the straight handle about 5 degrees at its base (where it bolts into the jack). That will keep you from breaking your hand/thumb if you have your hand on top of the vertical post and the jack slips a notch. I broke my thumb that way when I was working on a summer job for the USDA Ag Research when I was going to school at Washington State University. One of the spring-loaded pins did not engage the vertical post properly. The pin slipped out of the hole and the handle rotated upward at the speed of light and smashed my thumb between the steel handle and the steel vertical post. Surgery followed. I grew up on a farm. We had several of these jacks on the farm and Dad insisted that all the handles be bent slightly so that a hand can't be smashed between the jack handle and the vertical post. I sure wish that jack at the USDA job had a bent handle.
I love when you go to shows and we see all the neat equipment. Even though you seem to be "green", the IH Red Power meeting is in Grand Isle this week. Don't know how far that is for you, but if you're able to make it, you should look up Pete from Just A Few Acres farm. He's a RUclipsr visiting from Ithaca NY and is one of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet. Seeing two of the best farming RUclipsrs (and Grant) together would be a thrill. Take care and thanks for all you do.
Laura I did learn that you are one tough lady and beautiful too. Such a pity we don't have more people with your drive and enthusiasm. Please stay safe ❤
Love your enthusiasm and excitement at seeing the corn seedlings! Please be careful and please don't try and lift anything like that wheel, that was obviously way to heavy for you. You're young , fit, strong & healthy! Please stay that way! 🙂❤
It's been a while since I've told you guys this, so just in case you forgot... you two are awesome. ; ) Perfect example of what a young American Family should be; hard working people that work for their success.
🇳🇱I have a lot of respect for this young lady in America who closes a tap of a sprinkler despite the cold water and then goes to change her heavy and large tractor tire with her wet clothes. Greetings from Hans in the Netherlands (Europe) really great .👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🍀
Good morning Laura. I look forward and enjoy your weekly updates so much! You two are an amazing couple that definitely bring out the best in each other. As a man, I will say that Grant is one lucky man to have Laura as his partner - I'm also quite certain Laura feels exactly the same about Grant. I'm glad you two are part of the farming community feeding the country, you are awesome!!
Thanks. I love your videos and make the Farming world real. It’s not easy but, you and Grant make it fun. I have family in Illinois that are incredible farmers. I think they would appreciate your videos.
Hello Laura Fürst lots off respect for you as farmer family. It's hard work and long days. I Love your video's keep up with the farm ent video's. Lots off love from Holland 🇳🇱
Love you shirt. My cousins use to run 2 of those cruisers and if you get a chance check one out while it's racking hay. Seeing it on RUclips is neat but being there is something. Keep up the great videos. Great to see youall youngsters taking on this huge challenge 👏. Keep up the great work 👍
My young heroes...... Always have help with large, heavy, awkward objects..... You can "stay young" as long as you take care of yourselves. Y'ALL ARE PRECIOUS TREASURE'S... THANK YOU FOR YOUR POWERFUL CREATING 🙏🙏❣️
My wife and I were just talking about well pumps and you came out with this episode!!! We learn so much from you both about farming! Keep on going and thank you!
Laura, great job turning the pivot off. Then, I was impressed watching you trying to lift a tire on to the ranger. You were lifting with your knees. I am glad Grant helped. Thank you Grant! Team work in any job is important. It is also amazing to see the corn seedlings sprout. It gives a feeling of success. Great job!
Your right about checking boots. Many years ago my friend put his boots on and there was a bat inside one of them, lol. The two of you are a great team.
Enjoy the channel. Regarding the hi-lift jack (down here in the South, we call them mud jacks), we were always taught to remove the handle when not going up or down.
We call the Endgun on the pivots Country Carwash. Ran thru a couple yesterday. In Southwest Georgia the corn is above head high and tassled out, ears are forming and pivots are running around the clock.
You guys are certainly entertaining.. I'm grinning from ear to ear.. I've been on the other end too... So it's nice to see it from a distance.. I love retirement..
Very nice segment with the growing Corn seed. Nice to see your pride in what you do, keeping my fingers crossed that you don’t get any bad weather during your growing season. Great video
Great video and great job with the pivot and they make a tire sealant for inside the tire it helps with small holes and cuts I've ran it in my farm tractor for years and stay safe and God bless from GA
I have to congratulate you both with your video blogs which are very addictive for me. The episode in Europe at the tractor factory made me burst out laughing (in a good way) it was like two small children in a candy store! I could actually feel your excitements whilst viewing. Farming was never like this many years ago 60, when I was aloud to drive an old grey Massy Fergison tractor on school holidays on the dairy farm my uncle worked on! Bottom line you both are teaching an old man new trick!
Glad the corn is sprouting and you both are enjoying the life of farming. Glad I just got to watch the ""Icky day""! You're both awesome. I guess I'd just stay in my dirty, damp clothes for the rest of the day. I know I would. Done it.
LOL, every time you run the camera up the new crop rows to show the new plants, I am reminded of the movie Idiocracy when they finally get plants to grow with water
I heard about a great new farming tool...for use when turning off pivot water. It's called a "RAINCOAT" !!! I really enjoy your videos and the great work that you are doing!😃
You have shown us in the past changing pivot tires. It is mind boggling to me how in the middle of a dirt field you can pick up something to cause a flat. In general what causes the flats? Otherwise outstanding determination on Laura’s part and great teamwork.
Good Team Work......Grant good on ya for hanging back and letting Laura FLow.....and letting her lift that tire.....Until SHE asked for assistance. Laura way to Work that Tire I thought you had it in the bed but....That rim added more weight than you would think!
Thanks for showing everyone that farming is a lot more than just sticking a seed in the ground, then jumping back to watch it grow. Maybe Grant can come up with something to help you lift those tires by yourself. I'd really hate to see you hurt your back. Next time Grant might be somewhere else and you'd have to do the work alone. Always great to see you and Grant working together.
Grant, you are the luckiest man in the world. I love to see young people farming. It’s a good living. Best wishes!
Me too, I am also very happy to see young people working in agriculture and love it.

❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊
Laura is America’s sweetheart. Laura and Grant are the perfect farm couple.
It's good to watch people as positive minded and hard working as you two! much respect for your parents as well! Good luck this year!
Never be ashamed of needing a little help. And always be ready to offer help to others. You two have this down. So impressed.
We like being independent. Not always the best idea.
I’m sorry for your loss
It's great to see a young couple work hard. More young couples should watch how hard work and a great marriage should work. God Bless.
Great episode. So refreshing to see a young couple working the land. Agribusiness is the heart of America. Independent farmers are the backbone of America. You guys are fun to watch… farming is about being a good mechanic and problem solver. You guys do both!
I grew up on a farm in Pennsylvania. Laura and Grant are great together.
God bless you for all you do. Farmers are the backbone to the American economy❤️
Beautiful couple best wishes to both of them.💙💚🧡💛

😅👍👊❤
Вы классные, я не знаю английский, но смотрю на вас, как вы работаете, и наслаждаюсь, вы счастливые люди. Молодцы!!!
Yes young lady, we forget what a miracle a plant is. Thanks for sharing that corn plasnt.
You two are really fun to watch. Gotta give props to Laura on the physical labor end of things. Oh, Laura had to check the cool pretty red nails at the end to make sure they were intact! That was cute!
Congratulations on the crops popping, your nails always look striking.
7/14/23 - You two get it done ! Thanks for including us!

🤣that does look cold! Thank goodness there are still hard working farmers coming up in the younger generation. Thanks for taking us along!
Laura and Grant you make my day showing how to get it done!

Totally LMAO watching you make the climb , I am 70 plus and I have made that trip many times . You go girl .
Love your enthusiasm and excitement at seeing the corn seedlings! Please be careful and please don't try and lift anything like that wheel, that was obviously way to heavy for you. You're young , fit, strong & healthy! Please stay that way! 🙂❤

Way to go! Nice corn. You did it! Thanks for letting us in on your day! Always enjoy your channel and you guys!😊
Grant is a fortunate man, indeed.
Just a suggestion ! Try using Slime and a air compressor to keep those pivot tires from getting flats. Could save lots of work.
Hello Laura Fürst lots off respect for you as farmer family.
It's hard work and long days.
I Love your video's keep up with the farm ent video's.
Lots off love from Holland 🇳🇱
Got to love that Polaris Ranger Ultimate workhorse! Thanks for taking care of the end gun.

Good Plant emergence is the best feeling. Nice stand. Wish we had those pivots. Thanks
Laura, great job turning the pivot off. Then, I was impressed watching you trying to lift a tire on to the ranger. You were lifting with your knees. I am glad Grant helped. Thank you Grant! Smart farming, knowing when to ask for help! Enjoyed watching your corn progress.
Smart farming is letting your husband do all the tough jobs! 😉
Grant, kudos on waiting for approval ok to help with that tire lifting.
The two of you have way too much fun working together!!
What a wonderful smile Miss Laura has! ❤❤
Interesting video. I always find it fascinating to see how big farm equipment is maintained in the field. Plus, those huge sprayers are amazing!
We call the Endgun on the pivots Country Carwash. Ran thru a couple yesterday. In Southwest Georgia the corn is above head high and tassled out, ears are forming and pivots are running around the clock.
Thank you for end gun and flat tire great explanations was great Laura and Grant can't wait for next video
It's nice to see how well you work together, you make a good team. But, I feel that I must say: Laura You're a Badass!

Laura is 105 Lbs of Determination and 7 Lbs of Nuclear Fusion. Excellent video Thank You.

Cute little corn plants.
Check the weight of the wheel to see if you need help.
Great to see you guys working together.
a big greeting from farmer to farmer of Italy 🇮🇹
Well done Laura. Loved this video
P.S Laura is a badass lady
I always wondered what farmers do when they finish planting....never ending maintenance is the answer.
Thanks for showing everyone that farming is a lot more than just sticking a seed in the ground, then jumping back to watch it grow. you need a rack/holder for your boots in the shop where you can store them upside down. like 2 rods where you put your boots over ( one on eatch )
Picture perfect line man!
You do a good job Laura 👍
Good morning very good farming ❤
That is one very special lady you have there Grant, take good care of her.
What a great team.
