- There has been a surge of UV sanitizers and phone cleaners hitting the market, often for $5-10. But, are they enough to erase EPROMs? - Blog version at mattpilz.com/u...
Fantastic! I like how you can use these various UV-C sanitizers for EPROMs. I used the same model Philips toothbrush sanitizer before acquiring a dedicated EPROM eraser.
Thanks to your excellent video I bought a PhoneSoap 3 to erase my EPROMS. Thank you!🙂
These LED-sized UVs actually work very well. I just bought HoMedics UV Clean Sanitizer Bag for $7, cut out one led from it (there are 4), placed it on the EPROM, plugged into 6.5V, left for few minutes and eprom is clean :)
Good to know! I think my problem was not getting them positioned quite directly in the ones I tried. I'm also guessing there are some gimmicky versions of sanitizers out there that would barely qualify even as UV, but most of them I've tested have been certainly effective.
Thanks for this. Definitely needing one of those soon :)
Cool. Just snagged a PhoneSpa wand off of eBay to use with my NABU - I’m going to need to replace the system ROM so that it boots off of a SD card.
Good information!
Cool but the music is too intense
