Kick back as I tell you the account of getting hit by a school over a year ago, and the circumstances surrounding the event. I will also relay the affects, both physical and mental, and things that are helping my recovery.
It's really great seeing someone I look up to being so open about a vulnerable situation like this. This video might not do the numbers some of the bigger reviews will, but the emotional impact is immeasurable. Thanks Barry!
@@ethanfulkerson3207 thank you so much for that. I didn’t predict it would have usual numbers because of it being a non-food video. But it was the right time to tell part of the story.

Barry, both you and your family have undoubtedly been though a roller coaster of emotions, change and challenges since the accident. Your videos clearly demonstrate to your viewers that there is an abundance of love and caring among all four of you. Awesome. Now, It’s none of my business but assume you considered legal action at some juncture because you sure would have had a strong case, or perhaps something is ongoing. But I fully understand the difficulty in pursuing justice and the emotional and mental health cost in having to relive the incident through what could be a messy ordeal. Yeah, I think the news said “brushed by a mirror”. lol!! JCPS is really good at sugar coating everything the put out.
Hey Mr. Goodall; so glad to see all the ways you’ve been able to recover, but also deeply disappointed (not surprised) to hear how JCPS treated your case. I know of multiple other admin employees who had also been treated poorly after on-the-job-injuries (inconvenient position moves, pay cuts, etc), so it sucks to hear that practices for this type of thing have not changed.

In my humble opinion, legal counsel for the school would definitely not want a jury to hear snd see the details of your injury and the struggles you faced afterwards.
I am one that typically despises the litigious society that we have become, but for 26 years of loyal service you gave EHS and for them to basically show you the door after an on the job injury I would not have a problem going after them legally! My hope is you did and can't talk about it.

Barry: I am sorry you had to go thru all that trauma and I can relate very much to you having experienced an event myself spending 22 days in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). But I bet the biggest blow to you ( just my opinion) was the betrayal after 26 years of dedicated work at Eastern H.S. and they kick you to the curb at your lowest point. I worked for the Memphis City School System ( 10th largest in the Country at the time) and know very well the self serving political beast a school system can be. But with every tradegy there can be a blessing and for you sir is you found out quick who were your true friends and who wasn't plus you had/have your girls ( the 3 M's) , your extended family and started/grew a RUclips channel. I know you cannot speak to the ongoing litigation but I hope you get what you deserve. In the end I believe we end up doing what we are suppose to be doing and I think you are doing something that brings you alot of joy & passion. So keeping doing better every day, be happy and try try to be a little more healthy ( I think your kids & wife want you around for a long time). Take care.
The betrayal went way further than just being replaced. You hit the nail on the head on finding out who’s your friend and not your friend. One of these days I’ll be able to tell the rest of the story. It will blow peoples minds. But you’re correct. I’m in a good place now and a lot of good came to me in the past year. Thank you for the positive messsge.
@goodallscountrykitchen Barry you are welcome 😊 🙏. Continued good health & happiness
@@algernon5776 thank you so much.
@goodallscountrykitchen and Barry I understand the betrayal in work life. For me it was Corporate America and finding out so-called friends were stabbing you in the back and trying to soil my reputation all while chasing the almighty dollars ( greedy MFers). But I can assure you life is much more than that and you are living it right now, build your channel & build it big because success is the greatest revenge ( and feels so sweet). But you got tons of friends, great Mom & Dad + extended family and of course a ride or die chick ( pardon the express) in your wife. Finally you have your daughters who will someday bring you grandchildren and that is what life is about. Ok now let's get back to eating like an animal lol 😆
The JCPS School Bus System hasn’t been the same since! Shame on them. I guess they wasted all their money on that Bogus AI routing debacle. Glad you made it! I always hope to catch you doing your reviews out in the Wild! GODSPEED, Good Sir!
