Timoney Technology redesigned the vehicles back in the 90s for ST Kinetics with a new suspension system which turned the vehicle into a more serious cross country vehicle. The vehicles were offered to the Irish Defence forces with a hard cab to maintain better protection for the crews which was removable but had a very boxy look about it.
in the end did the Irish Defence Force acquire the vehicle or not? Timoney designed several vehicles for ST Engineering.. Singapore's Terrex 8x8 was also designed by them..
These are always great vehicles to have. We use Fennek for reconnaissance and Vector for special forces. They are fast and manoeuvrable but their roll rates are much lower than the G-class we used when i entered service and the worst one was the remaining units of the Land Rover Defender 109. the Vector looks cool tho in my opinion.. is it based on Mercedes chassis? or it's home grown? We still have old Land Rover laying around in our units.. @@PacificFront i don't know if their is an international page but we based our MARSOF on the G-class chassis of the 280 CDI. I thought they had a page on it in the KL website and the Mercedes Benz website. We only used the chassis the rest is a military application depending on mission. The maritime version MAR has a few different features combatting corrosion amongst other things. We use the lighter Special Operations version it fits easily into the Chinook and Cougar. They are probably some of the ones we dumped into the market too. They are late seventies early eighties. We retired most during the nineties. They were converted from petrol to diesel that's why they missed some power. I don't know for sure if you have ours you might have done a parallel purchase.
I haven't check it yet.. I only look at the Wikipedia, but the information is limited.. having a tactical vehicle that can fits into Chinook is really convenient in my opinion.. sometimes when the wind gets really strong, sling loaded it under the fuselage can be very dangerous.. our P6 ATAV even though it's hard to roll over, it's too wide for chinook..
I want to.. but I still can't find much of the resource.. I'm sorry.. 😟 I plan to make a video about one of the units of the Marines, but still haven't find enough resources to make an interesting video.. if I still can't find it, I'll try another unit from another branch..

yes.. it's like hilux but you remove the body, replace it with tubular frame, equipped it with machine gun, and voila! 😆
the Hilux is piss cheap, these cars however dont go for sale on regular car dealers, even if you could afford them
