I have been in the trade since the 70's, For the last 30+ years running a 7 bay and 2 test lane workshop,(with a little paint shop for my own stuff/ projects). Euros stuff just isn't worth using if you want to warrant your repairs. Besides the poor quality of much of their stuff, getting the right part in the first place is an achievement in its self, any part for any car isnt their motto, its what they send you instead of what you asked for. I stopped using them a few years back, after getting fed up of ramps being held up by wrongly supplied or faulty parts and then generally waiting ages for replacements.Use a decent indepenent motor factors or those that are part of a reputable trade group.

I hate euros nowadays, I only use them in an emergency. Click and collect orders you still have to wait in a queue even though they have a click and collect counter ? Prices extremely exaggerated to make their discounts look good, which they’re not . Not enough counter staff so they are generally rushed off their feet , but you can always hear a load of pen pushers in the phone room laughing and joking .

Absolutely correct their counter service is a disgrace, there’s never enough staff to cope with demand and like you say loads of people behind the scenes laughing and joking while the queue at the counter gets longer and longer. They are supposed to open at a certain time on a Sunday, the Warrington depot opened up half an hour late and then spent another half hour getting the computers up and running and then left one person to serve eight people,it happens all the time whichever depot you use,the click and collect is a joke because even if you’d paid for the part your still in a long queue, their hopeless and they Jack up the prices so they can offer crazy discounts,I only use them as a last resort.

I think Euro can be hit and miss. It depends on your local branch. Thankully, I've never had any problems with my local branch. I tend to use a motor factor I've used for about 30 years who are often cheaper than Euro and I've rarely had an issue with parts quality. As a DIYer who also fixes cars for family and friends the time wasted with incorrect/damaged parts isn't as much of a problem for me.

So I told him about a family friend who's car came down on top of him. Neighbors heard the crys and worked to lift the car and drag him out. He didn't even go to hospital. He died a week later with a stroke. was it connected? Probably. I told the guy, you just carry on mate.

Can i ask you a question, ive always used garage's before but I'm thinking of looking for a decent mobile mechanic to come to me. When looking for a mobile mechanic in my area whats the best way of knowing they are good and not just rubbish. My second question is would a mobile mechanic have an issue with me watching them do the work, I'm asking because I'm interested in learning how to do the work myself. Also what is the going rate for a mobile mechanic. Any advice I would be grateful 👍

Reviews on google are always a good indicator, and it all depends on the area you are in in terms of price, I wouldn’t say too much cheaper than a garage because you are paying for convenience. And it’s all down to the individual whether or not they are ok with you watching, personally I just like to get on with things, some customers have become friends and I don’t mind having a small chat with them whilst working.

Maybe he hid the damaged threaded area in the packaging somehow, maybe Eurocar Parts don't dispose of damaged returns, selling them on as company policy.......?
