Let us know what your favourite part of the Laguna Route was...
The landscape, the flamingos or the thermals 📝

Definitely the Red Laguna with the Flamingoes. But saying that….. what a trip. Such unusual landscape. Beautiful. Think so far this is my favourite video. ❤❤❤

Laguna Colorada was truly spectacular. It's mind blowing that places like this exist. It was like visiting another world. So happy you enjoyed it 😊

Great video! Amazed by all the scenery - not sure what I expected for Bolivia but very surprised. Loved the flamingos.

Bolivia has quite a diverse landscape. We loved exploring the dense rainforest in Bolivia as well. It really surprised us as a country. Not many travellers spend too much time there. They just want to drive the Salt Flats.

Hi Tanya, we're so happy you found us 😊 And just as we're preparing to make our final drive down to the end of South America 🤩
The Laguna Route in Bolivia was stunning, only of the most spectacular places we have visited on our travels.
Looking forward to sharing more of our travels with you. Tomorrow, we are resharing a film from our time in Colombia whilst we finish editing our Uruguay film.

Hard choice but for me the landscape at the site of the Flamingos was pretty spectacular!

That Laguna is called Laguna Colorada. It's the main highlight for people who drive that route.
It was stunning, especially at sunset. The colours danced off of the pink water ❤️

It actually wasn't as challenging as we thought. Just a lot of washboard.
Incredible landscape though. I wanted to get so much more video with our drone Steve, but it was crazy windy. You can see him getting blown about a bit in some of the shots, at one point we almost got swept away 😬

You're obviously doing a lot of hard miles , what engine do you have & how is it standing up to the test ?

Yes, we've covered a lot of ground since we started. We swapped the original 2l air cooled out for a 2l Subaru impreza. Sadly, in Baja, we made a bad route choice and trashed our engine and the replacement we bought and fitted was bad from Day one. It got us as far as Panama, before it threw a rod. We bought another second hand engine and thankfully this one has mainly coped incredibly well. Although, on this route actually, the air intake hose fell off, which meant we ended up rebuilding the top half, as we started burning through a heck of a lot of oil.
