Today we take JoJo to a drive thru take away for the first time, as this is his first ever drive thru as we go to Taco Bell USA - where he ordered everything on the menu vegan and plant based that he could!

This is the comment I was looking for.
Refried beans are either black beans or pinto beans and what they do is they boil the beans then they let it cool little bit and then you take and put them in the blender and mash them up then you re-cook them. That’s why it’s called refried beans
No blenders are used. No beans are boiled. You forgot about the frying step, too. Something tells me you never, not one time in your life, ever refried any beans.

That’s what I do if I want homemade refried beans. If I don’t want to use the blender I just use a potato masher. I try making stuff. The recipe isn’t perfect but that’s how I learned. I made pretty good tortillas even though I don’t have a tortilla press. Still trying to figure out what wrong with my pico de gallo recipe because I got the recipe from my local cantina restaurant
Perkins is a very good place for breakfast. We used to go to the Perkins outside of Disney Springs that has since been closed down due to Disney buying that land for lord knows what but Perkins prices are reasonable and the foods pretty good. Definitely worth a visit. Also technically Taco Bell and Moes and Chipotle are considered Tex-mex they’re not really traditional Mexican food you would have if you were in Mexico.

Generally if you get something like nachos, you should start with them so they don't go soggy. Followed by crunchy tacos for the same reason. Then move on to the burritos since they keep longer.
Jojo I loved your comeback to your mother saying she would look like a bean by the end of your stay. That Mr. Bean comeback is classic.

Funny enough that cinnamon twists were originally called cinnamon crisps when they first hit the Taco Bell menu in the early 90s.

I love that Jojo picked Taco Bell, one of my fast food favorites when you need to pick something up quick. I would download their app because you usually get something for free first time and I like the fact that you can customize just about every item easily. Their season rice is nice to add or potatoes etc. Plus you can still select to go thru the drive thru for pick up. Always get some sauces to add if you're not big on spice the mild is great I also find the hot is good not spicy and they are free. Plus I like their red sauce, I think a little extra for that one. Glad you didn't go to Del Taco. I've heard from a few people they got sick but I have never tried it so I don't know for sure..great video. Nacho fries are the best by the way 🤗

Unless you live in the city or the country, you likely live close enough to a multitude of drive-thrus that you can easily get home from before the food gets cold. Drive-thrus are huge part of everyday suburban life. Often grocery trips and errands end with a stop at a drive-thru before getting back home to eat. By the way I've been wanting to try a Del Taco. We don't have any near where I live. I'd like to compare them to Taco Bell which has nearly 8,000 US locations to nearly 600 for Del Taco. There was another chain we had briefly called Taco Bueno which I found far superior to Taco Bell but it didn't last here for some reason and there are less than 150 of them in the US.

Everything I see like Taco Bell, McDonald’s, Pizza Hut and Starbucks etc in England. Has much nicer foods then we have in the United States.

Love jo jo welsh tshirt. being welsh makes me happy to see it . i have big house to many kids lol. But i not in that house recovering from sepsis in hospital it scary tbh lost a toe yes so i can say i have 9 toes i am in hdu. It after having a accident all them weeks ago.

When. We visited Lincoln we saw One and there is one in my parents area as well. Sadly it’s in a bad area.
You didn't get any drinks, taco bell is known for the BAJA (ba-ha) BLAST Mtn. Dew, or the Brisk Mango Tea, or any of their frozen drinks which is just frozen sodas fruit drinks so good on a hot day. They have cinna twists, & cinnabon ball bites. Their breakfast is so good. ❤❤❤

BTW you can ask for free cups of icewater at pretty much all fast food places if you don't want to pay for drinks

We were visiting family in Montana almost 9 years ago. Not many Australians go there. We went through Starbucks and the lady taking our order said she loved our accents. For some reason there was a delay and we stayed at the order box for a few minutes just talking to her. During the course of our brief chat, I asked if she'd be happy if I just read the menu to her. Her reply was yes. No I didn't read the menu but we continued talking to her.
Also, since JoJo is a fan of US currency, stop by any bank and exchange two $1 dollar bills for a 2$ dollar bill. Most people in this country (especially those under 30yo) have never seen a two dollar bill, but they are legal currency. I use them all the time just to see peoples reactions.😆

I just keep thinking jojo would lose his mind in Japan the amount of Pokémon centers we have and how cheap they are. Also the take out is like half the price of the UK. What you paid for Florida you could have had 90 days in Japan. Crazy isn’t it.
Del Taco is good the difference I find is Del Taco has burgers and French fries as well as the tacos
Refried need are pinto but they can sometimes be made with black beans.😮

The refried beans brand we have in Australia is El Paso, they are pinto beans with chilli in them (along with other stuff)
We have those in the UK too! There are a lot of Old El Paso products here 👍
Fun Fact US money is not paper it is closer to cloth or linen. That's how it can go through the wash and not turn to mush.

Went through a newly built TAHco Bell the other day. Couldn't figure out the entrance or exit. The menu was so small we couldn't read it. But for sure the cheapest filling meal around. Perkins used to be really good. Can't vouch for that one as I've never been to it; sometimes it's hit or miss on restaurants. I pass on the cinnamon crisps also, like eating air. Do you have cooling seats in the car?

I know it can be prohibitively expensive to do both in the same trip but you should visit Universal Orlando sometime.
Taco Bell is more a commercialized version of TexMex than of actual Mexican food.
Out of country visitors always forget to get sauces.

I MAKE cinnamon twists ,with puff patsry ,cinnamon ,AND Brown sugar . Put all the ingredients on to the rolled out pastry. Then cut into stripes ,AND twist the pastery. Then bake till golden Brown .Take care and all the best. 😊😊😊👍👍👍

It depends upon where you live. At the Taco Bell by us the burritos are not only 99 cents. They're a lot more than that, $1.49. So a lot is subjective. But here it used to be 99 cents years ago.

@@FamilyFreedom I don’t know if the beyond taco is still available. I checked the menu here in San Diego where I live and it’s not showing on the menu. I would just try and see if not they still have other yummy vegan food. Plus I have a video idea. Do a Taco Bell vs del taco comparison or challenge and see which one you prefer.
