      The tungsten ball was revolutionary in terms of writing utensils. The rOtring rapidiograph design is another highly developed nib with some profound design and engineering aspects. Those pens are in a league of their own. Albeit they are currently around 50$ msrp. They are very tedious to clean and maintain. Ultimately, when creating art work I prefer the rapidiographs nib to ball points ink distribution method but they simply are not affordable in mass. I have used approximately 70 BiC pens on a current art piece. Had I used radiographs for the same work it would have been a several thousand percent price point difference. It's fascinating that BiC has produced such a quality product for such a low price.

      @@desicons2005 Yep! The approximate OEM diameter of the pen is .6mm, using the old English ruler guide.
      Had added a 1/4 by 1/2 inch clear rubber tubing salvaged from a old sport beverage container. Now diameter of the barrel is increased to 3/8 of an inch.
      Using a external 1/2 diameter insulation cover plug from a dysfunctional 300 ohm A/V connector to accommodate the OEM cap. Had to snip off the hardware clip molding on the cap It took an 1800 watt hair blow dryer heat to expend the applied materials to the barrel and cap configuration. Neither of the materials used was not too soft nor very plastic. The cap still posted nice and neat. Overall feel was not awkward or even some what clumsy during the writing activity. It was a more of a pleasure during the continuous two paragraphs of handwriting on a wide rule college ruled paper, Hopefully the BIC Crystal don't shatter before replacing the cartridge at the top end of the barrel.

    The BIC M10 is really a true classic pen like the BIC Cristal. I've had bad experiences with it at the office, as has a colleague of mine. They are very fragile in the center where the clear part begins and often broke in the middle when writing. I always put a lot of pressure on a ballpoint pen, just like my colleague, but that should have no consequences.
    I also write differently than how people should write according to schools. Namely with the thumb under my index finger, which gives you more support while writing and prevents the pen from shooting out of your hand, which bothered me a lot as a child from the second year of primary school on. Here in the Netherlands you learn to write with a pen from the second grade of primary school and you are only allowed to use a pencil in the first grade.
    The button also popped back while writing and therefore the filling, which I have seen not only with my colleague but also with others.
    The BIC Cristal is also a classic pen and of course there I didn't experience those problems. On the other hand during my school time I avoided them cos
    During my school years I avoided them because I almost always had a BIC Cristal pen that suddenly stopped writing.
    I then switched to mostly refillable cheap pens in which you could put refills from mostly the German Schneider and no more problems!!!!!!!!!!!

    What's the best bic pen for handwriting and many hours at a time

    • @desicons2005
      @desicons2005  3 года назад +2

      Hi, as far as the best BIC pen for handwriting, it really depends on each person's preference, as for the number of hours each pen lasts that is directly correlated with the number of hours you use it.
      On average each BIC has enough ink to write for 1.2miles or 2km so you can reach that distance in a single day or it can take you a couple of years to do so.
      I hope this helps, but if you have any other questions feel free to ask, I'll do my best to reply to them. ;)

      @@desicons2005 thanks for the comment it is for exams as black ballpoint pens are only allowed sadly no fountain pens or rollerball pens so what pen would you recommend for cursive handwriting i want a pen that flows smoothly i was thinking about bic 1,6 or bic extra smooth but I haven't tried them before your comment would be much appreciated also about the many hours I was talking for how long to use it until your arm and wrist gets tired of using it as the exams are long and stressful and not how much ink the pen has got or would last you hope it makes sense

    • @desicons2005
      @desicons2005  3 года назад +3

      @@indian-tech-support Of course, anything we can do to help. Personally, I would recommend the BIC Extra Bold 1,6mm.
      Its wider tip will allow for an easier and fluid writing experience while not forcing you to press on the pen that much. This might end up saving your arm and wrist a little bit more over long periods of time. As for the time it will last, I'm pretty confident that you won't be able to go through a new BIC pen in one exam only. However, if it makes you feel more relaxed, by all means, take more than one pen to the exam. I hope this helps and that your exams go well.
