Are you familiar with the Givenchy Gentleman 1974?? I got it on sale today cuz I thought I was getting the same Givenchy cologne I've seen in many of these videos. But when I got home and opened it it looked completely different so I looked it up and found out it is the 1974 originale EDT. Is it worth keeping? My daughter's actually love it and I think it's very good and strong but if the newer one is better then I'd rather exchange this one for the new one. If you have any opinion on it I'd appreciate hearing it. Thx 🤘🏼
From all the listed above, in the video, there's literally not even one that overpower DIOR parfum pour home, from 5 years ago. It's fragrance lasted for over a year in my wallet. Two sprays were enough for 3 days, not kidding. It stains if is directly spread on a white shirt...but the smell, is something else, iris really shines and melt in your brain, fav fragrance ever!
Sauvage Elixr is super long lasting as well. It's strong, but also the dry down is where it really shines and will last and stick for the next days!

@@oisnowy5368 yeah, for what they asking for it. Id just go ahead and get a niche fragrance and be done with it ain't no way I'm paying that much for a regular designer fragrance.... Especially one that everyone and their mama seems to have.
I love the whole Acqua di Gio line. I started with the OG one and have been wearing them for maybe over 15 years.
I literally had a Dean at my college that wore Versace Eros in his mid 40’s and honestly seemed just fine. Just came off as a strong vanilla note, not tryhard at all.
I think the age thing is super overblown
Both watches and fragrances are some of my hobbies and it was so interesting to see that you love fragrances as well Teddy! Totally on point with Y EDP, I think I like the openings of Dylan Blue and Bleu de Chanel slightly more than Y but they don't last as long (especially Bleu de Chanel) and it smells way better than Sauvage, performance is almost as good as well; like Sauvage. Plus not many people wear Y like they do Sauvage, if you're considering that factor.
I really love the dark clean smell of Sauvage EDP. Is YSL Y in any way simmilar to that?
Great review guys! I have to agree on Acqua Di Gio Profumo and YSL Y EDP. I own those two, besides a few others on this list but those two are long lasting in my experience, very versatile and garners compliments. Keep up the great content!
Hey Jimmy i see you on lots ofcomment section for fragrance videos. What are your top 5 or 10 best smelling beast mode fragrances. I just got into fragrances and a lot of fragrances smell good but on last and don't prject very well. Just curious on you list. Thanks
@@PIMPSTA951 hey man, longevity on a fragrance depends on skin chemistry and other factors (e.g. weather) so a fragrance may work on one person but not on another. In my personal experience, the fragrances that get me great longevity in no particular order would have to be:
1. Rasasi Hawas
2. D&G Light Blue Eau Intense
3. V&R Spicebomb Extreme
4. YSL Y EDP
5. Mancera Cedrat Boise
6. Acqua Di Gio Profumo
7. Dior Sauvage EDT (I seldom wear it)

@Jimmy McWatters Thanks for the reply.I own a few good fragrances but from your list I own and worn Rasasi Hawas in the heat and cold but i don't get the longevity like everyone states it has. I'm thinking it's been reformulated to only last 3-5 hours, at least in my experience. Cedrat Boise i own a sample, wore it in the cold/night and it didn't last either for being a niche fragrance. Savauge EDT i own as well and it's a hit or miss i been wearing on and off and sometimes it last and project and other times the scent goes away were i can't even tell i have it on. The only fragrance that works for me no matter when or how i wear it is CDNIM EDT that thing last on me easily 10+ hours its a cheapie but goodie. I want to spend some more money on a better higher end fragrance but don't want to be disappointed in the performance.
@@PIMPSTA951 yeah, I get what you mean man. I would personally suggest to sample if you can or go to a store like Macy's, Sephora, etc. and spray on your skin and wear it throughout the day to see how long it lasts on your skin and how it projects. Also a few things to keep in mind:
1. I would suggest to spray your clothes if you're not doing so already since normally fragrance lasts longer on clothing (just watch out for darker juice that could stain your clothes)
2. How many sprays do you go with? Typically I go with 5 sprays but if the fragrance is light, I go with about 8
3. It's common to go nose blind to a scent. Although you may not smell it on you, people around you can smell you so just be careful not to over spray.
4. Some fragrances have been reformulated such as Hawas and Cedrat Boise but I hear the newer batches still perform well just not beast mode as older batches.
5. Something I do that helps my fragrance last longer is layering Iso-e super with my fragrance and that works great for me. Maybe you can try it. I wouldn't suggest to buy Molecule 01 since it's so expensive. I usually buy mine off of Amazon and a 50ml bottle costs about $22 so you can try that.
The opening of my Club De Nuit EDT is that smoky birch smell; I LOVE it. I heard the EDP is more lemon in the opening.
There’s a new Club de Nuit Intense Man that came out this year Pure Parfum. It’s the best one out of all the other concentration.

I hated Bentley the first couple times I tried it after I made that blind buy. It took some getting used to. I still wonder sometimes if my coworkers think I have a drinking problem, but it's definitely grown on me.
I have most these fragrances & I can attest for sure Sauvage, at least the batch I got, out-performs; Pure Malt, Club De Nuit, Eros, Spice Bomb and Y. Its so long lasting and strong it survives a wash. 1 Million is at par with it.
I got so happy when I saw Valentino Uomo Intense in the list (especially when it was the first fragrance) cause I have it and I am in love with it!! It's my signature scent in winter time along with JPG Le Male Le Parfum. I also find that is not that common and a lot of teens or guys in their 20s don't wear it (I am also 20) cause of the creamy iris aka lipstick vibe that it gives so I feel different and more daring. Loved the video!!!
Le male le parfum is my absolute favorite. Is Uomo Intense similar to it? I might get it if that's the case.
Hanea Mori Him is one that last forever on my skin. I’m not all that crazy about CDIM but hands down is probably my most complimented fragrance. Bentley for men Intense is also one that gets a lot of positive attention when I wear it. One thing I’ve learned since getting deeper into fragrances is that price and brand means absolutely nothing in my experience. I’ve got some pretty expensive fragrances that get no where near the attention some of my cheapies get. Nice video
Call me crazy but nautica voyager is powerfull on my skin and last forever. Not even my retro Dior homme intense last on my skin.
Aqua di gio profondo is a great performer too, i'm not sure how it compares to profumo but I tried layering different fragrances over the top of pronfondo and it absolutely overpowered everything I layered it with. So it's STRONG!
Profumo performs marignally better than Profondo. I prefer using Profondo in summers compared to Profumo.

I love the Valentino Uomo Intense. One of my favorites. I am seriously considering the ADG Profumo. It keeps popping up and everyone says it's pretty great.

I would say just get some profumo. I think it's a perfect every day scent.
I have Terre d'Hermès Parfum, Tom Ford Noir Extreme and Dior Homme Intense and all of them have a lot of projection, performance and are long lasting. Love these 3.

Love this channel. Been wearing Gucci Pour Homme II for years as my summer scent. Recently tried to look into getting another bottle when the current runs out. Yikes. Didn’t realize it was discontinued. Would love to see y’all speak on discontinued scents that need a return.

I have all the acqua di gio and weirdly enough it's absolu the gets me the most compliments by far and it lasts forever.
Absolu is the best hands down
I like the Profumo Acqua Di Gio and Code the best but the Code Absolu seems to be the one all the females in my life absolutely love. Is it the vanilla notes that makes it popular with the ladies??
Eros EDT 2021 batch - 1hr projection and then becomes a skin scent.
Flame EDP 2021 batch - more than 1hr maybe 1hr 15 minutes ? and becomes a skin scent.
I'm curious about the Eros EDP performance.
I wore spicebomb extreme one day at my job in Bthis past winter and had a woman in an elevator standing behind say to me after a good few minutes and floors say my God you smell awfully nice what is that and I literally put on like 2 sprays like 5 or 6 hrs before this happens but yes it's a bomb scent
Costume National sounds like I would love it. I’m always drawn to spicy fragrances. And I like when a fragrance lasts a long time and is on my clothes still when I go to wash them. Im going to have to smell that one.
Give it a shot. If you are drawn to that genre you will probably enjoy it. Not as strong on the projection side but it stays on the skin for a very long time in my experience.
Profumo is a compliment magnet for sure

I just got a Pure Malt decant and I love it. The drydown reminds me of my first relationship 12 years ago because she wore something strikingly similar but i never got to ask what it was.

Prada Luna Rosa Black should be there that fragrance performance is amazing
I will wear Eros and original Spicebomb until I die. I'm pretty proud that I bought both when they came out and was in love with the smell instantly. Always got me compliments from women I knew and random ones in passing of all ages. Sucks that theyre seen as young clubbing scents but hopefully they go down in clubbing popularity like One Million has.
ADG Profumo only lasts 2 hours on me. But Armani Code Absolu is an absolute beast, 8h+

Apparently the EDP of club de nuit intense man has a smoother and less harsh opening.
Tom Ford Black Orchid easily lasts over 15-20 hours. Top notes: Truffle and Plum; Middle notes: Rum, Ylang-Ylang and Black Orchid; Base note is Patchouli. Winter. Always gets me compliments.
How can you not add Tobacco Vanille, Black Afgano & Layton?
I would take Dior Sauvage Elixir performance over anything you’ve listed.

Get the CDNIM EDP it really toned down that Citrus/Lemon opening a lot n is a much much better blend. Only get the CDNIM EDP or the limited edition. Both are 100% better then the OG CDNIM…
Agreed Eros Flame is much better then OG Eros.
Would rather have Jazz Club an time over Spicebomb Extreme. Only Spicebomb I like is Night Vision EDP.
Paco Privé is sooo much better. Pacos Pure XS is an amazing scent as well.
YSL Y EDP is my summer top 3. Love this Y it is timeless.

If you don’t have a ton of money and can only get one it would be club de nuit. Strong ,long lasting, and most people love it.

One I forgot. Givenchy Gentleman Eau de Parfum Boisee is gorgeous and lasts a long time.
I wish they would bring back the old formulation of Uomo Intense in the black bottle without the spikes on the neck. I had a sample of that and fell in love with the hazel nutty chocolatey dry down and then I purchased this and i could not get into it after many tries and sent it back.

What's this list based upon? If it's based on your collection fine but if you are recommending, some of these have been discontinued and are difficult to find such as Pure Malt

Actually I find the atomizer on pure malt gives a really nice spray. I understand it can feel funky but it's got a noticeably fine spread.

Might be my longest lasting Designer: Dior Fahrenheit Parfum. Thats just a beast. I also own AdG Profumo and Fahrenheit Parfum beats it easely performance wise.

I recently had to return Acqua Di Gio because the performance was terrible. Couldn't smell anything past an hour. Sucks too because I luv the smell. Maybe it's the batch I got. Idk
Which Club de Nuit is the better overall fragrance? Not necessarily comparing it to Creed.
Dior Homme Parfum has monstrous performance. Same with Sauvage Elixir and I get 8-10 hours out of Sauvage Parfum. I get really solid performance out of Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme as well although a lot of people say they don’t.
DH Parfum also has a monstrous price in the US because it’s not readily available.
I’m still feeling I live in an alternate universe. I bought a bottle of acqua di gio profumo and the performance was the weakest of all my fragrances. Smells amazing but wouldn’t last more than 3 maybe 4hrs. So I bought another bottle! Hoping my first bottle was just a bad bottle. Same thing, super weak performance so it’s really weirding me out people say it’s strong. Note: I bought these 2 bottles of profumo in the last month so maybe the old bottles were the strongest ones
Most people go nose blind to their own scent after a while. Ask people around you if they smell it, chances are they do.

I got reformulated Di Gio Profumo, performance is not that great so I guess I should spray more to get my money's worth.
take an exact-o knife and cut around the edges of the Mugler atomizer. Helps so much.

I love YSL EDP/LE Parfum. This is my favorite dumb reach fragrance.
Also most people use demeter pineapple + club de nuit because then you still get that pineapple opening

for aquo di gio profumo, i wonder if it smells similar to issey miyake pour homme intense? based on the description of the notes it would lead me to believe so. IM is also fresh aquatic but dark at the same time, as if you're standing under a waterfall in the mountains on a cloudy day.
The strongest and longest lasting I have is TF Noir De Noir. I was lucky to grab a 100ml bottle for £70 instead of £250+ before they noticed they had priced them wrong online. xD
With the bottles almost gone, I recently bought the Bentley intense and the Spicebomb extreme and the new batches are much weaker! Why do they spoil the original fragrances?
ADG Profumo is a PARFUM concentration FYI. At least that's what the bottle says. It's a masterpiece

Lol glad to see I'm not the only one who hates 1 million. I appreciate most fragrances these days even if I'm not a fan of them. 1 million though is nauseating and unbearably sweet. It's the fragrance that I can most definitely say I hate. We share a lot of the same taste. Love Nathalie Lorson with her work on Lalique and Bentley. You should check out Lalique pour Homme Lion EDP. To me, it's like Creed Bois du Portugal done better and more modern.
For a pretty close similarity I'd say Givenchy Gentleman EDP lasts even longer than Valentino Uomo Intense with a bit more spice to it.
Both very nice but like Prada l'Homme Intense and Armani Eau de Nuit they feel uncomfortably interchangeable somehow.

@@ryujinzengen6053 Oh okay. I believe it's the 2nd or 3rd highest rated Givenchy cologne according to Fragrantica, for whatever that's worth. And it's description is literally filled with all of my favorites. " Woody/Aromatic, notes are honey, cinnamon, lemon, cedar, vetiver, leather, musk, amber, vanilla, rose, bergamot, jasmine, orris root, patchouli, oakmoss, and civet. It's very strong and my twin 9 years old daughter's both love it cuz "It makes Daddy smell so handsome and sophisticated". I can't give it a better endorsement than that. I definitely will be keeping it. 🤘🏼
