Nice tool, Makita makes quality tools !! Did you try the Milwaukee backpack for the dust collection? The hose on the Milwaukee is 1 7/8, I bought more accessories including the brushed attachments for the Milwaukee, I also ordered the 9’ hose ($45), that hose is a game changer!! See you on the next video guys
@@campbellbuilt It will be the best $45 you will spend especially if you hang it on a ladder and use it overhead. Even just placing the unit on the floor the longer hose really make a difference. I know some people say with the longer hose you lose suction, I didn’t experience that at all. I ordered it from Home Depot and received it in 2 days. Your times might vary, I live in South Suburban Chicago.
@@campbellbuilt yea I can definitely see the advantage for some areas like the rabbets. The new brushless bosch does not have a flat area on either side for you to make a descent rabbet.
Lol if somebody working beside you and want want to mess with him. LMAO, just blast chips all over him and snub and pretend like you don’t even see it. I thought that was hilarious.
Makita brushless planer tool only, 200. DeWalt brushless planer tool only 100. For that same 200 with DeWalt. i could be getting A brushless planer, 2 batteries and a charger. Why would i buy Makita planer? FYI i am a Makita guy. Makita's planer is stupidly priced compared to the competition.
if you are using makita planer indoor with the dust bag, hardly any dust leaves the bag and dewalt with a dust bag doesnt perform no where near Makita. In terms of reliability Makita is way ahead ... just my opinion and personal experience
@@foetusdeletus6313 1 MM extra depth of cut, is not worth 100 more than the competition. when a extra pass to achieve that extra 1MM is only going to take 10 seconds. 10 seconds more work to save £100 it would take decades of work to make that £100 extra for the sake of 10 seconds for that extra pass.

there IS a large diameter spring, in additionto the foam pad, for the depth adjustment.
Thank you!! This is my first electric planer and the instructions are pretty bad. Your video helped A LOT!!
i think for smoothness the best bet will always be to do initial planing with the electric, then finish with something like a stanley number 4 or 5

Is it easy to make a thickness planer sled using XPK02Z?

Because you get 1mm extra depth of cut, 2mm with the 40v version.
Makita planers are pretty much the best on the market.

Mine was $305 with tax. I just shop Makita because I already have batteries and chargers. Glad I didn't know the DeWalt price! $300 vs. $100? 😳
Crazy price. I spent 410 here in Indonesia include tax for tha shit..
