- Elliot Page tears up in the trailer for his interview with Oprah Winfrey in ‘The Oprah Conversation’ that airs April 30 on AppleTV+. The Oscar-nominated actor opens up about the joy he’s experienced during his transition, and what it was like to come out as trans. In an interview with Vanity Fair this month, Page says this interview ‘felt like an opportunity to use a wide-reaching platform to speak from my heart about some of my experience and the resources I’ve been able to access-whether therapy or surgery-that have allowed me to be alive, to live my life.’

this is an emotional process, he’s probably overwhelmed by everything he feels as a product of this. He is happy but he’s also going through a long process which is extremely emotionally demanding, having to put that into words is probably even more difficult than he expected

He also chose to go on Oprah, to ensure maximum exposure and these interviews are practically scripted - she's not asking hardball question but about his biggest joy. It's obvious he's unstable. Helping him isn't about praising him for being "brave" all the way to the grave.

This is the farthest thing from joy I’ve ever seen in my entire life.
Joy that comes from finally being free to be himself. But, the sadness comes from all the lost years where he had to pretend to be someone else. Of course there is some sadness that comes along with waiting a lifetime to be happy, but that doesn't detract from the happiness.

Someone who is genuinely happy about their transition would be exited,, smiling, eyes lighting up, jumbling their words together from the intense feeling or overwhelmingness of serotonin, or euphoria, awkward giggles and exhales with as a sign of relief, and happiness… and if there was any sadness or feelings of remorse, that will come after the euphoria… when explaining their story… this didn’t play out like that… but.. as we know how Hollywood works and operates, this could definitely be someone trying to come to terms with what they were pressured to do

Goddamn, this is tragic. I can't get over it, I honestly can't. This poor woman was hurting for a long time inside and out but intead of being built up and encouraged to live peacefully with herself, she was torn apart piece by piece by those who should've tried to help her. Ellen page was my early archetype for girls, the juno Ellen page, witty, conversational, cute, tomboyish... I learned the hard way, those are some of the worst girls to deal with, so many guy friends, and they often try to please people, not all, but many of them that I met, most of them are casual about sex just like guys, and even more narcissistic than feminine girls... Glad I'm off tomboys girls.. I now appreciate feminine girls, dresses, nails, etc.

She's so confused. I find it extremely sad we allow people that suffer from mental disease to disfigure themselves. No doctor amputates on the basis of limb dysphoria and the patient is referred to mental help. Why are we not doing this for the gender dysphoric and dysphagic.

Any true empath will feel this is anything, but joy. I get the same vibe as when I get into an argument with a family member and all the emotion weighs down on me, i usually go and cry by myself later, but sometimes you can't hold the tears of despair/sadness back because you're mostly upset with yourself and your own behavior, of letting you get the best of yourself.
I was legit thinking I'm biased or something for thinking it's an attempt to fake it, then I read the comments. I see most people agree that is not happiness. I have a feeling that this level of sadness would make most people storm out of the room and cry their eyes out but someone so used to being tortured and good at acting can at least fake it to this level.

As Americans we all focus too much on personal feelings & emotions and as a person who’s suffered with depression since before middle school (born in 93) I know mental health is a very serious issue but imo that doesn’t mean it should be validated which is exactly what’s happening with so many people feeling they need to transition to be happier or feel like a true form of self! I’m not against people transitioning I just don’t get why so many feel they like is the only way out!

God created male and female we have been given divine roles as male and female! God's creations are eternal and can't be changed! And it's incredibly sad to see grown adults lying to these young people that are having a hard time! There teaching a false narrative you can chop it off and take a 💊 pill but you're chromosomes will never ever change! Mankind doesn't have the power to change God's creations, and it's foolish for mankind to think they could!
Sadly now they're pushing girls that were just like us (tomboys) into transitioning and ultimately ruining their life when they later grow up to regret it. The fact our current government, media and people are pushing children to transition should signal that our empire is falling, much of this same junk happened when Rome fell and helped it to fall.
Now a woman or girl cannot be just a tomboy, cannot be just lesbian; no they want to push for girls and women who feel that way to become men. They can have all the surgeries they like (and the complications from them are long and painful physically not to mention the mess emotionally people suffer afterwards), but they'll never be able to change their DNA from what they were born. In 1,000 yrs if someone were to dig up Page's bones to study them they would say "bones of a female of slight build" and nothing they can do will change that.

(6) 2 Corinthians 7:10 KJV [10] For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
In order to get saved, repentance of one’s sin is needed to get saved, we need to be sorry, and repent, with conviction, that we are a wretched sinner.
(7) Romans 10:9 KJV [9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
If you truly do believe in everything you have heard in the gospel, ,I strongly suggest you to make a proclamation to GOD! You can say it to God in less than 15 seconds !Repeat after this simple prayer, to make sure you truly get saved. Remember repeating this prayer doesn't save you, it's you telling God you BELIEVE THE GOSPEL. Ok, here is the prayer :

The suicide rate for transgender people is unchanged from pre-op, post-op, and those who do not even think about reassignment. Elliot is still desperate for help and I hope Elliot gets the help needed.

She said in the 80's and 90's not one single child or teenager ever said that they believe they were born in the wrong body or the wrong gender. She talks about the word transgender being created and used for political purposes and that the entire thing is a social construct.

I dont know what's going on in the world where ppl need to place so much emphasis on changing the external to be happy internally. I see that in women and men who try to attain society's view on what perfect women and men look like. You can change the physical all you want, but its the internal where you need to find that peace.
