Bandit and Chilli are couple goals. They adore their daughters, and are shown to be people outside of their roles as parents.
And whatever they think, they haven't forgotten how to romance!
The only bad thing about Bandit and Chilli was when Bandit said he liked double Bingo more then Bluey and Bingo and made Bluey feel bad and then after Bluey and Bingo left,Bandit said “But seriously how good is double Bingo!” And Chilli said “I know right!” That was just wrong

@@stephaniemyers6874 yes, it sounds bad, but it is the same situation as when you think that your teacher hates you, they will never admit it but in the end they are also human, they can also hate you, in the case of having children, it is normal to feel a stronger connection with one child than with another, it is not that you love one child more than another, you love them all equally, but you feel a stronger connection with one of them, it is not easy to explain but it is there.
I love how this show tackles realistic topics, despite being aimed at preschoolers. It doesn't treat them like idiots, but understands that they're smart enough to understand the mature themes and situations.

I think it's aimed at FAMILIES WITH preschoolers, it's meant to be a show parents are actual fine or even excited to watch with their young children.
I agree, I remember being 4 and my cousin talking to me normally, like an actual person, it really made me feel great.

I felt this. Bluey is healing to me for the same reason. I strive to be Bluey parents when I do become a Mom one day.
Bandit is the ultimate father I swear. He was punched, kicked, stomped on, had his bed stolen, and even when coming back from dropping off one troublemaker he stopped without any complaints to slump onto the bathroom floor and sing 99 bottles to the second perpetrator.
Bandit is the best father.
Can we talk about how freaking good the music from that episode was? The way they work Holst's "The Planets" into the narrative is absolutely brilliant and takes the episode to such a high emotional level.
I always get choked up at the end with the swell of music. This show has no business being this good.
I said it in another comment but the music is awesome throughout the series. Joff Bush and his team do great work, and often tie in some arrangement of a very well known classical piece to this kind of awesome effect.
Rain is another episode where the music does a lot of the heavy lifting and manages to be just magic. I hope they all get the recognition they deserve.

I caught that too! What kid's show does that? So awesome!
I associate that music with a setting for a somewhat cheesy academic hymn, but the closing line of “for the unexplained remainder, the troubling and the odd, for this place and for these people, we give you thanks, O God.”
Written for college students, but I relate to it far more as a dad than I did in college.
As a mom of a little 3 year old girl, this hit me hard. I hadn't thought of it the way you put it.
My baby girl had a few couple days where she watched this episode again and again. She has a pink bunny lovey that she has had since she was a baby, and she sleeps with it every night. It brings her great comfort, and helps her regulate her emotions when she is upset.
So when she watched this episode, and Floppy flies away to join the other bunnies, my baby girl would cry her eyes out while watching it, and then she would curl up in my lap as I comforted her and reassured her that it would be alright, and Floppy would come back to Bingo.
But even though she cried, my girl would start the episode over and watch it again. And again, she would cry. It was weird to me, but I supposed it must be cathartic to her somehow, or help her deal with something.
I guess it's about dealing with her fear of loss, but learning that everything will be alright. That she won't actually be alone.
I had a rabbit that I named "Mister Rabbit"
If it helps at all, I'm 30 and I tear up at this episode. It's simple but very profound and has kinda brought up old childhood trauma I didn't know I had, namely neglect.
I used to do this to The Fox and the Hound when I was her age. My mom was so confused why I liked insisted on watching a movie over and over again that seemed to upset me.
I think it resignates somewhere in her where she can't articulate quite yet. For me, I think I definitely had those emotions from other places and felt safe expressing/feeling them in a more controlled environment.
Honestly, I can't remember exactly. But it was absolutely cathartic looking back.

Wow my almost 3rd old is very similar! She loves Sleepytime and we read the book most nights before bed. She also sleeps with a toy bunny. One night in bed she was crying and it was because she was afraid her bunny would leave to be with his friends while she was asleep 🥹 She gets sad in the part of the episode where Bingo is left shivering in the cold. She seems to love riding rollercoaster of emotions through the episode though! It's amazing how much it resonates with her and it's also helped her with being more independent with her sleep as she now always wants to do a "big girl Bingo sleep"! 😄
@@BeautifulPsycho124 Thank you so much! I think you're right that it helps her feel/process something inside of her that she doesn't quite have the vocabulary to express yet. She seems to have so many feelings and deep thoughts inside of her, and I try to help her through it all to the best of my ability. It is just so hard sometimes because she can't explain what is going on inside of her.
One thing I LOVE in this episode is when Chili says "Remember I'm always here if you need me" while a softer tune of the main melody plays. But in Bingo's dream, when the main melody is the most triumphant, she hears "Remember I'll always be here for you, even if you can't see me. Because I love you." Chili never originally said I love you, but Bingo understood what she meant even without her explicitly saying it.
All the little details in this episode and this whole show as a whole is amazing. I hope you keep making more of these therapizing Bluey videos because there's so many great episodes that could be discussed.

I lost my grandma almost two months ago. She very kind, giving, funny, sassy,and genuinely one of my favorite people in the world.
Whenever I see this episode and Chili’s voice says, “Remember I’ll always be there, even if you can’t see me. Because I love you.” It absolutely leaves me in tears, it really does feel like that.

Two days before my own mother’s life was randomly and unexpectedly taken (exactly three years and one day ago), she sent me a message that ended with “I am always with you whenever you need me”. She had no idea she would be shot to death two days later by a random carjacker. But I do feel her with me, more than I did in life.
I lost my grandma last year. She was more of a mother to me than my own. I thought of her too when Chili says the line at the end. 💖

I'm 22 I started watching this show after going through a traumatic experiance at work and found a lot of comfort from it, I can't explain it but it's like all the things I needed growing up are there and it's healing to see and watch something so wholesome and safe.
Sorry for your traumatic experience; I'm so glad you find comfort from this show. Stuff made for kids is so wholesome and we need more of that in the world!
I’m 34 (almost) and I watched a few episodes of this show at my boyfriends sister’s house, and I must say it’s maybe one of the only shows on Disney Jr. That I sincerely enjoyed watching.
It’s just such a good show. It helps heal the inner child at least from what people have said. I love it
As a 23 yo with a complicated relationship with my mom, I'm literally shocked on how comforting it is to me when I watch Bluey 😂 A friend asked me why did I watch it alone but I just found it so cute, makes me feel happy
Bluey and Bingo are both girls (daughters). Just FYI. I have young kids, I know these things.
My favorite moment in this episode is always when the comet picks Bingo up; if you are a parent and you hear your child crying in distress, what better way to describe yourself than a comet rushing to their aide?
8:28 - If you'll notice, this shows the pup's surprising amount of maturity when it comes to letting other people have what they need, even if she finds it painful to do, especially since it's her subconscious dreams. That's amazing, and it shows what wonderful parenting can do for even very young children.
I don't even have kids, but I watch Bluey all the time. It's such a wholesome, cozy show. The episode you covered gets me teary eyed every time, it's just so beautiful
I just cry and cry everytime. Also taking to account the meaning every planet has, like saturn the planet of becoming adults... I can't. For bingo the world revolves around Chilli and it makes me cry even more.

Bingo is my inner child. It's healing to see her get the parenting and secure relationships that I never had. Chilli is my role model. I hope I can be as amazing a mother as she is when I have kids of my own. I love this show. It's not just for kids, it's for everyone that enjoys it.
Me too both parents are the ideal role models they aren't perfect and they recognize that and when they are in the wrong they acknowledge it and apologize to the girls which sadly isn't something I think a lot of us grew up with even those of us who did have good relationships with our parents/guardians
I love the fact that on this episode Bingo makes active effort to grow up, and even though she isn't quite there yet, she takes small steps and I can only imagine how proud she would be if we got to see her waking up in her own bed 🥹
The part where the girls are running on Jupiter/Dad is my toddler's favorite bit of this episode; he laughs so much! My favorite part is the Sun/Mom talking to Bingo and cuddling her. ❤ This was a wonderful video. Thank you for it!
I have 4 and 6 year old daughters and this episode of Bluey makes me burst in to tears everytime I watch it. It’s an absolute masterpiece.
LOVE the use of the music from Gustav Holst’s “The Planets” suite - an orchestral piece very near and dear to my heart and is honestly just good music! A very fitting accompaniment to Bingo’s journey.
Same!! My daughter was just born and this show has SO MUCH classical music just hidden throughout it's amazing. I can just put it on in the background and even the more hyper episodes calm her down
I'm not ashamed to say that I get moved to tears every time I hear the climax from "Jupiter". Absolutely stunning music and a perfect fit for this episode.

@@rebeccaorihara5763 Yeah, the show as a whole rightfully gets all the accolades it deserves but Joff Bush (musical lead for the show) really deserves a ton of praise for the work done. He get's his cameo as Busker (the musician dog that sometimes shows up like in Dance Mode or Markets) but him and his team need to be singled out and really appreciated.
That episode is a massive „immediately loses all composure and sobs uncontrollably“ trigger for me. It just hurts. 😬

"Baby Race" never fails to make my wife and I cry. It's always the episode I recommend to other parents who are interested in Bluey.
I watched it with my toddler today and just immediately started crying when Coco's mom told Chilli she was a good mom. ❤😭
This episode broke me. My mum's been gone almost 10 years now. She's missed me graduating from university, getting married, my pregnancy, the birth of her first grandchild, and the recovery I had to go through while learning to be a parent (thankfully I had a wonderful partner).
I definitely needed my mum for that last bit. Sitting on the couch watching Bluey with my little boy later, and hearing Chilli's voice at the end... just, fuck. I held him tight and cried. There's a lot of Bluey episodes that have done that to me.
Bluey is not the show we deserve , it is the show we need, right now at this time, in this crazy world we live in.
PLEASE review the episode Grandad. Or Flatpack. Or Baby Race. Or Camping. Actually just do the whole series please 😅

I would love to see the episode “Dance Mode”. I love how the episode covers how to set boundaries and how it is hard to make the decision of when to say yes and when to say no.
even outside of the therapizing, this is one of the best bluey episodes imo! the orchestra soundtrack and divergence from the storytelling done in usual episodes to a more artistic feel was so good. and the humor too!
I agree! And I love how they integrate classic works of orchestral music like Holst's The Planets in this one - it's a great introduction to classical music for kiddos!
I'm an adult (early 20s) and even I like watching bluey. Which is crazy but.. I grew up in a very traumatizing household. And it's brought a sense of calm and what it -should- be like. And helped with some things I never knew I had issues with (including very intense separation anxiety). Funny enough my therapist is the person who suggested it for me!

Ever since I sarted watching Bluey with my little brother, I've found myself tearing up on some episodes. It's such a good show!
My favorite one is when we meet Jack Russell, both my brother and I have ADHD and they did an amazing job encouraging kids who have it not to be ashamed by it. 10/10 best kids show ever ❤️
YES! I love the episodes with Jack, too - they do such a great job of normalizing the struggle with executive function, and showing that those of us with ADHD are often more capable that we realize, despite our struggles!

I feel like this episode is like the pinnacle of Bluey. The beautiful sound track, the imaginative dream writing, the symbolism, and then the ability to make me cry at a show ab Austrailian dogs 🤧
"You recommended that I watch it so I watched a few episodes, then I watched ahead without my kids" behold, the Bluey pipeline. It really is a fantastic show largely because of how deeply it connects with adults and children. Like, I'm a college student who has no children, but I connect deeply with Bluey's portrayal of figuring out life. Episodes like Bin Night are good examples of communication in family, and Grannymobile has a good lesson about not undervaluing one's self. Space is a recent fan favorite because it has a message about processing traumatic memories, and Army discusses managing behavioral problems that come with neurodivergence.
The part in the end when the sun/Chilli reminds Bingo she will always be there for her even if she couldn't see her always gets me. Every time I watch that, I start tearing up for some reason.
This show really speaks to me after the passing of my mom. Very beautiful message. Also cry every time I watch baby race.
Baby Race, Bin Night, and Faceytalk are some great Bluey episodes.
And when I feel alone and afraid I watch a live camera feed of somewhere else in the world. A beach in Hawaii, a street in London, ect.. It reminds me that im not alone, there a plenty of people out there if I need them.

Did you catch the reference with the planets? Chilli lost her first child which is represented as Mercury, and Bluey was Venus the second child and second planet, Bingo was Earth which is the third planet from the sun. They kept a room with a baby bed in it because they always hoped to have a third child and it never happened. The stuffed toy being the moon makes sense because the moon protects us from bad stuff. It's an amazing episode full of deep meaning.
Jupiter by itself is such an emotional sucker punch of a piece, it’s inclusion in the show is perfection. Some other episodes that I think would be good for these look-overs would include Fairies, Copycat (aka the grief episode), Double Babysitter, Onesies, or Stories
Fr tho the whole series is good, the writers even said that it’s a family show instead of just a kids show in a Q&A
My daughter cries when floppy goes away. I cry when the sun/mom comes and tells Bingo she'll always be there... and we hug eachother after xD
I love this episode and it is one of my favorites. My daughter doesn't like it kuz it makes her sad. Next time we watch it I'm going to have a conversation with her about separation anxiety. So thanks Jono!

This episode hits me on so many personal levels. I love kids, look forward to having them in my life whether biologically, socially or non-biologically. This show has become my escape from negativity when I need it. I get so emotional about this episode as my sisters and I did the exact same thing with my parents, but rather we stick with mom and likely dad kicked out to our bed. As a person who was a mom for a month/ short time, I felt and still feel for everyone in this episode but especially as a mom for Bingo and her separation anxiety. The part with her resolve in the face of love, warmth and unconditionality, I am either in tears or to the brink each time. Can’t wait to be that source of love and warmth for someone, someday!🥹
I seriously can’t watch this episode without literally bawling my eyes out. Floppy reminds me of a stuffed gray tabby cat plush I named Gigi that my mom gave me when I was 2-3 (I still have him to this day) and I have a lot of anxiety towards the idea of me moving out and starting my own life. I’m 21 gonna be 22 soon and my mom will never kick me out, and I’m not leaving until I’m financially ready and she and my brother will be ok (he has autism so I look after him a lot while she works). I showed her this episode and we both cried so hard, but it felt reassuring that I can always turn to her like I’ve always done since I was a kid; she is my sun 💜
One classical reference here, in that Holst's Planets, Jupiter is playing, meaning the Jovial fun loving Bandit (the Dad) is being referenced.

I love the message overall of this episode, that even when you're a big girl, sometimes you still need your mother, or your stuffie, and that is okay. Too many movies I watched growing up pushed this idea that growing up meant putting toys away forever, when in reality sometimes when you're scared and alone, having that comfort item can mean the entire world.

My favourite episode is Baby Race. I'm a beginning teacher so I'm constantly comparing myself to other teachers in terms of how I run things, how I manage my classroom, how fast I'm progressing in my learning, how fast my kids are progressing in *their* learning. Hearing Coco's mum reassure Chili that she's doing great was almost like being told I'm doing great. As someone who thrives on praise (and whose supervisor doesn't hand out verbal praise as a matter of habit), that reassurance meant the world to me.
This show makes me cry because it's so beautiful...but I was very fortunate that it makes me cry more of happiness because my parents are pretty amazing. I've heard this show is pretty healing for adults that have had rough childhoods as well. It's just so wholesome that it's healing. There's some amazing episodes with gorgeous animation but I think my favourite is called hospital. It could be cause I'm a nurse but I was cry laughing by the end. It also showcases how different Bingo and Bluey are and it's just so cute because they are celebrated for it. It's so nice to watch because Bingo is quieter, more sensitive and kind of in her own little world. Very much me when I was kid....and now. But it's celebrated rather than 'you need to be more assertive, you need to speak up more.' Ach. Just amazing all around.
I love that the only time we have the parents tell Bingo that she does need to speak up and 'use her big-girl bark' is when something is wrong! Mum also has Bingo day to Dad that he was being too rough with her and that after Dad apologized, they practiced her bark in the moment so she could feel comfortable with it!
I'm 29 years old, and I live across the country from my mother (I live in Washington and my mom is in Maine). I watched this episode and I cried. I do miss being near my mom and seeing her. This episode definitely hit a soft spot for me.
This was the episode that really sold me on this show - it's nice to see that even if she thinks of it in symbolic ways, Bingo knows completely and fully that she's loved and an important part of the family.
As someone who also comes from a field that focuses on mental health as well as also analyze bluey stuff it was really intriguing to watch your thought process throughout the video. I personally never quite looked at this episode in that perspective so it was really fascinating to hear how you came to the conclusion of this representing separation anxiety and as well with all valid points that were explained well. Excellent work buddy 💙

This show makes me cry so hard so often. 😂 I honestly don't get why some people don't like this show.
This is my favorite episode. One, because I love Astronomy, and it was so imaginative. But this episode of ML also made me realize another reason it resonated with me; it showed me what I longed for as a child. My family was extremely dysfunctional and there wasn't a lot of consistency or stability. There were so many times as a child that my sister and I would get yelled at or shamed for trying to "bother" our parents at night. Only one of many issues in our family growing up. I wanted so badly to not feel so constantly rejected, misunderstood, and unseen. And the way Chili and Bandit deal so tenderly with their children make me long so much for what I missed out on: consistently loving parents. If I ever become a parent, this is the kind of parent I want to be: compassionate, and understanding.

My son is 12, so he only started watching Bluey after I did. This is my favorite episode and I'm so glad you covered it. I've been working hard to be the parent my mother never was. To give him the support that I never received. Bluey has made me feel better about my ability to be a good parent.
Yes!! Sleepytime! Honestly, this episode is a masterclass in both beautiful animation, music and being amazing parental education at the same time. Breaks my heart every time I watch 😭
My daughter started watching this show last year and I was like "Good lord, another kids show imma have to ignore so that I dont go mad." But then I found myself actually sitting with her and watching a few episodes, just randomly. I dont even remember really when I started paying attention, I just kinda did and I was enamoured by it. My daughter turns four soon and I'm actually kinda worried that as time goes by that she'll stop watching Bluey, because it's something really special. It's very rare that a show aimed at such young children is actually made this well and with so much care and love. It's not a kids show, it's a family show.
It's hilarious how I find more parents being obsessed with this show than Children hahahah.
I honestly watch Bluey without my 4 year old son too. I'm hooked amd it's helping me become a better compassionate parent.
bluey was originally made for parents but the company said it wouldn't sell so they brought down the age target but still has the lessons in there
When my youngest daughter is sad or scared she watches Bluey. Bingo is her favourite and she feels braver because Bingo is braver.

I’d take that a step further as a child-free adult Millennial:
This show is phenomenal for prompting the healing of your inner child. It doesn’t fix anything but watching this show with my boyfriend has given us the opportunity to discuss the painful and joyful parts of our childhoods. I’ve processed grief through this show that I hadn’t thought about in years or didn’t know how to handle. And the gentle simplicity of this show can really provide a tender nudge in such a healthy way.
This episode in particular hit me personally the hardest in the best and worst ways. I had separation anxiety growing up as a child. When I was little, I would actually cry when people who would come over to our house for dinner or to chat with my parents would leave to go back home. I didn’t understand that I’d likely see them again soon enough.
And then when my parents and sibling moved back to our home state and I stayed behind for my career… oh my gosh. I really struggled. I’ve been in therapy for a few years now and have a great support system. Those goodbyes are still hard but they don’t cripple me like they used to.
The moment when Chilli as the sun tells Bingo she’ll always be there for her, even when she can’t see her, because she loves her, I always tear up because that’s how my mom is and I’m so grateful to have a mother like that. It reminds me of the tenderness she often had for me when I was little and how much I know she loves me now, even as an adult.
Bingo being in Earth and her bunny floppy coming from the moon showing her pal is nearby. Her sister Bluey came out of Venus and left to go be with Dad Bandit.
Bandit was Jupiter, the largest planet in the solar system to show his size and how he protects the other planets with it's gravitational pull.
Mom, Chili was the Sun. The Center of the entire family's universe. Bringing warmth and love that will always be there, even if you can't see her.
Beautiful episode with a ton of deep themes to think about and the music just brings it all together.
this is something that you see a lot on the first day of school for a kid, i remember that, a lot of kids crying and I didnt understand why at the moment, but now i realize that is because, for a lot of kids, the first day at school is the first time that they go all alone at something, the first time that parents are not around, now I get it.
An interesting point is that the girls are the inner planets in Bingo's dream. She hatches from the third planet, Earth, while the second planet, Venus, is already hatched before she hatches.
But Mercury, the first planet, never hatched. There are clues in other episodes that indicate that there was an earlier pregnancy that ended in a miscarriage.
Bluey has a lot of details the show never talks about, but they're there.
I don't plan on having kids, mainly because I'm physically disabled and struggle to take care of myself as is.
But I grew up with a narcissistic mother who refused to acknowledge or address the way she was treating us all. And a father who was too scared of her to stand up to her or protect us from her abuse. My dad was rarely home and when he was he was very shut off to everyone emotionally. My childhood-young adulthood was so full of the people I relied on manipulating me, lying to me, dismissing my feelings both emotionally and physically, medically abusing me and so on. And I didn't even realize until 2018 that.. that isn't normal.
So for me personally watching Bluey gives me this kind of, peace? The relationship and lessons they're showing are what I needed so desperately growing up and what I still need! I've come to treat myself with so much more love, patience, and understanding than I used to. I'm better at actively breaking down and understanding my feelings, better at communicating feelings to my partner and friends. Bluey has been actively teaching me lessons along with the kids that I was just never taught growing up and I couldn't be more thankful that is exists.
Hang in there, nugget. You can do this.
Id say this episode is also heavily about the fear of growing up and not being able to be little for long enough and not just separation anxiety
Every since the first Bluey show you therapized, I was telling my wife I was hoping you would do this one episode, and gosh darn it, you did it!! This episode makes me shed tears nearly every time I watch it now. You see, my mother passed a way a month ago, and I play Bluey sometimes for the furbabies (and myself sometimes). Well, I was still going through this event in my head, and this episode just stopped me in my tracks. It took me back, and when Bingo talked to the sun representing her mom, I felt that warmth of my mother and feeling those words resonating with what my mom did and said in her actions and her words. "I am always with you, even if you can't see me." Those words wrecked me in a good way, and I burst into tears hearing that. My mom loved me that fiercely, and was always there for me, and now that she is gone, I had to ask myself how I could go on without my best friend. You know? But hearing those words gave me so much comfort and relief, and all that hit me from a simple 8 minute clip with maybe a paragraph of conversation.
I thank you SO MUCH for doing this video!! Gosh, I seriously think you should just do therapy on Bluey, because there are so many life lessons in Bluey and answers so many "why" questions! Why follow the rules? -Shadowlands- Should parents parent themselves and suffer consequences if they hurt their children? -Dancetime- So much can be taught in a Bluey show, that if a college professor made this elective, I would be a repeat course taker! Lol!
My parents have ALWAYS been there for me, including when they needed to discipline me, or to push me out of the nest so I could do things for myself. Including when I've needed to vent my frustrations and did so by insulting them. I see how they treat my siblings, understand that they did it with me also, and every day I appreciate them more.
My mom and one of her sisters have both said that, when they went to college, their mom took them to the dorms, helped them get set up, then told them, "I've done everything I can. You're always welcome to come home for a visit, but you're an adult now and have to take care of yourself." I guess she did that with all 12 of her children, and they all turned into wonderful human beings.
I like how, in the first episode of this, you went like "Alright alright, I'll do it, I'll watch Bluey" and were quite reluctant about it, and in this one you go "I am watching this without my kids!" and that's an *extremely common* thing for this show.
I had always resented my mother in some of the issues we had while she was raising us four.
But in my darkest moments my mom is there for me. That's when I realized mom just did her best in the circumstances our family has faced.
Now that I am a first time mom I see things in the different perspective. It's hard to be a mother, and creating secure attachment is the most crucial part of raising children. Bluey wonderfully demonstrated how it's done.
My mom died suddenly Christmas 2021, and this episode always makes me cry, because it really feels like the sun went out. Like I'm just drifting through a cold void with no anchor. I stick it out as best I can, because I'm an 37, and that's what adults do. But this episeode reminds me of what the sun felt like.
When I was school-aged, I was shocked to learn that some of my friends’ parents were like Bluey’s parents. For as long as I could remember, I was NOT allowed to disturb my parents during the night. If I had a nightmare, I was allowed to walk, in the dark, to my parents’ bedroom and quietly tell my mom I had had a bad dream. She would barely wake up, stay lying down, give me a one-armed half-hearted hug, and then I had to walk back to my room, alone, still in the dark. I was afraid of the dark, and always had to assess whether I felt it was even worth getting that half hug or not. I thought this was normal. So this episode made me cry from grief at what I never got. I so badly wanted this kind of love, reassurance, and security! But my parents believed in toughening me up.
When I had my own kids, I felt such love for them that I couldn’t imagine treating them like I had been raised. My kids got real hugs, real comfort, and I-Love-Yous.
I knew you'd react to this one eventually, but not that it would be the second one you'd address, bringing out the big guns to get this series off I see lol. You said it perfectly: it's a masterpiece, and I will always get emotional watching it.
Baby Race is one of the others that always get requested, and I'd agree. Grandad, Rug Island, Flatpack and Rain would be others I'd also request and lastly Dance Mode, not because I want yall to dance (I mean go for it if you want to) but because the episode starts with Bandit screwing up with Bingo, and how to move from there.
Love the series, love any excuse to watch Bluey without the kids :)
They were actually very smart to bring in Holst’s “The Planets” into this. It conveys such strong feelings of emotion and ties the story together brilliantly!
We love Bluey in our house. From the title, I thought this would be on the episode "Space." I don't even know where to start with recommending episodes to make into videos, but we love the episode "Early Baby" mostly because it shows that even though kids don't necessarily understand what is going on, they try to get some understanding through play. Writing that also made me think of "Copycat," which is a similar topic on how children play to understand the world.
I want more Bluey therapization. Please do Cricket and The Sign, they were both in this last half of season 3 on Disney+, there’s so much wonderful stuff to talk about!

Sleepytime absolutely wrecked me emotionally. My Mom died last year and that line that Chili says just got me in the feels.

This is my favorite episode. I cried so much at how beautiful and heart-warming it is. When I first started watching this show, I binged it in just a few days it made me so happy.
There's a lyric from Boyinaband's "Don't Stay in School" that goes like this:
'They say "It’s not the kids, the parents are the problem,"
Then if you taught the kids to parent, that’s the problem solved then!'
Bluey is the show that is fulfilling this lyric and I think that's a great thing.
I neither have kids nor do I ever think I will. But... I am a childhood trauma survivor, and this show is helping me learn how to reparent myself, how to show up authentically for the people in my life in a way that I can absorb even on bad brain days. Sleepytime is my favorite episode so far, and this breakdown is just beautiful. I was already a fan of Cinema Therapy, and I think I may have found a new series to fall in love with. Thank you!

This is my favorite episode of the entire series. It’s a masterpiece! The score is beautiful, the symbolism of each member of the family as a planet (or sun for mom) adds a cool layer, and I like that it’s taking a snip of an ordinary night for a family with young kids and showing it as it would really play out. I didn’t even pick up on the separation anxiety message. That went right over my head 😅 every time I watch this episode I get a knew take from it and I hope they make more episodes like it in the future ❤
I'm a teenager with a mother who has constantly ignored me as a kid and has never showed love to me unless I was the very best at everything and looked pink and cute. The only way to get her approval is by being pretty, a straight A student, and a musician. I'm the opposite of what she wants, I saw my baby sister watching this and immediately wanted to watch it. Bluey is a god damn masterpiece. By the way after having two music classes, I can say that the music pieces in the background are jaw dropping and beautiful.
This made me cry because both of my younger kids (5&2.5) have made me so tired. They constantly wake up at night crying for me or sometimes they just appear on my bed when I wake up in the middle of the night. And sometimes I’m so exhausted and I hear everyone telling me I have to force them to sleep on their own bed and in their own room, but to me the fact that they know that no matter what happens I’m always gonna be there for them it’s unbelievably special. My 5 yo made a school assignment for Valentine’s Day and it was to draw what love was to him and he drew us cuddling in bed and in his recording “ to me love is when my mom and me cuddle up in bed until we fall asleep”.. needless to say I was sobbing and it reminded me of why even when I’m so tired I keep falling asleep with one kid on each arm every night lol❤
When you said that the water, the toilet was methods for connection, i thought it was so lovely and i didn't notice that and the reason why it was being shown in those shots

My little one is a huge fan of Bluey, and Bingo is her favourite character, likely because Bingo goes through the same difficulties she does. Bingo's struggles with communicating and expressing herself, separation anxiety, and feeling unimportant are so relatable to pre-schoolers.
As for the night time separation anxiety, we deal with that by just sharing the same bed. She is 4, and only just starting to show signs of wanting her own bed. Slight problem, she's set up for her cot mattress and bedding, but still need to do some shopping to complete her big girl bed set up, so that's on the to do list.
I use Bluey for reparenting myself in specific situations, like getting better at positive self talk and reframing my internal dialogue.
This episode makes me cry , every time. I remember this fear of seperation with my mom, and the warmth I felt when she would hold me as a child. Bluey got it perfectly right when it showed a moms warmth is like bathing in the sun. It hurts me so much to know that I will never feel that again as I can no longer trust my mother the way I used to as a child. I can no longer hug her and feel safe, the trauma she caused me runs to deep in my blood now to ever feel safe and comforted by her like when I was as a child. I miss it so much sometimes. My heart aches every time I see this episode , cuz I know I will never feel that again.
As a 27-year-old adult with no kids, I sob every time I watch this episode.
I'm not gonna lie: hearing the "Jupiter" concert piece by Gustav Holst playing throughout in the background made everything about this episode just hit a more personal note for me and I was crying by the end of this episode.
