I've needed this for a long time! not sure why i didnt find it sooner! i replaced my receiver and my servos were programmed the same way you set your, but i wanted it back to the factory setting and now I know how to switch them back

Like in a real car when you lock front diff the car wants to drive forward regardless of whether it's steering or not. Locking the rear diff only makes more sense. Thanks for the video.

Hey... again, thank you sooo much, my broncos a couple yrs old now ? Reciever had seen too much water. It died , i replaced but had screwed up just 1 ch reverse, so i couldnt lock both axles in, just 1 at a time 😂, got it all straightened out. Rear now locks 1st, thank you, then front, as it should be. So, thanks for crackin that traxxas code 4 me. All fixed and even better, correct order. Now our models have a bit of a costum profile you dont get outta the box😊
Swap chanel 5 with 4 then 4 with 3 from a stock settings. That will let you lock front and rear inpendantly (rear lock will be on your thumb switch, front lock on toggle switch). And front lock will only engage after low gear selected. Follow above videos after to flip servo.
Hey do you know if it's possible to put the lockers and the gear change on the same switch? I would love to have low gear locked, high gear unlocked, then save my 3 position switch for a winch

Do you know if this method can be used to access the transmission shifter servo? I installed a new receiver and the diff-lock servos and tranny shifter servo was going in reverse. I was able to fix the diff lock servo directions (thanks to your video) but I cant seem to figure out how to get to the tranny shifter servo. Its on channel 3 but when the red LED blinks 3 times on my transmitter, I cant get the servo to reverse in direction when pressing any other buttons.
@@RCPropaganda Ha! I got it, the steps to access them are the same as it would be to access the lock servos except I hit the menu button I think only twice and that was for the tranny shift servo . Thanks for this video, without it Id be sunk.
@@RCPropaganda I got the cruise control working again by following the instructions to make the multi function knob the cruise control. Instructions can be found in the detailed manual that can be downloaded from the Traxxas website. Thanks for your video 😊
Can you tell me how to reset my locking diffs to factory... dont know what I did but diffs are now unlocked with switch in middle position, front locks with switch toward rear, rear locks switch forward.. how do I get neutral front than rear
Douglas Lyman I just did the same shit cause I was programming mine for cruise control and my steering wouldn't work so I checked my servo by setting the endpoint and it works so I reset my TX to summit default and now it's goofy the only fix I can find is by flipping the servo around witch is ridiculous
If you switch the channels on the receiver you don’t need to do it on the transmitter... I just switched my channels and it was set properly. Not sure why the programming in the menu was needed.

bro I'm very hopeful that you know how to do this but I'm going to tell you you talkin and counting out the blinks it doesn't help you should just have said like hold it twice I hit it twice and then we can see it blink but when you count the blinks it throws it off like unless you sit here and write everything down but it was very helpful video and I did finally figure it out after I wrote everything down and I didn't have to hear all the numbers hit LOL.. thanks.
Didn't know this was possible with the stock rc radio. How do you know this mod? I thing i will try this. After you changed the settings on the rc radio it stays like that right? You don't have to set it up every time you plug it in right? Thanks!

Based on that, it sounds like the best value these days would be to buy the TRX4 Sport, then add an optional 2-speed transmission if a person wants that.

You should be able to. It is such a pain with a traxxas radio. Not sure the process. It should be what ever the button sequence is.

I just swap the receiver. The rear engages first thereafter the front. No programming done

You have to reset it back the same way you set it up.

My front lock servo spins the same direction as the rear so it only lock the back or front. Not both 😢

Maybe with a y cable and both things plugged into one channel. Not sure.

So I got them flipped on my truck went to do my buddies and it works but my transmitter is blinking green any tips

Is it possible to use an aftermarket multi-channel tx and program it so that either diff can be locked unlocked in any order?
I do not know. I am not using the lockers any more these days. I just took out the servos and then installed the diff spools. Locked full time now.
